Clipboard - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Is there anyway to clear the clipboard on the Galaxy S 3? I am no longer able to copy and paste and everytime I try to on the stock internet browser or Google Chrome it crashes. I read online the crash is due to the clipboard being full but I'm unable to find out exactly how to clear it.

If you hold the mic button down on the stock Samsung keyboard a pop-up will come up with choices, one of those choices is your past saved clipboard. You can delete them by holding down on each one and hit delete.
Good Luck

Ugh didn't work, I clicked clipboard but nothing happened.

I ended up rooting my phone and deleting the clipboard through root explorer. That seemed like that was the only way to do it rather then wiping my phone.

I haven't tried this, but I bet you could clear it using something like Airdroid.

I have not rooted mine yet and I also use Swiftkey 3. I cleared my clipboard by holding down the mic on the stock Samsung keyboard and several possibilities popped up and one was the clipboard and clipboard history. I simply long pressed on each clipboard I wanted to delete and hit delete. It worked just as I described. Maybe you didn't click the proper pop up. Could you see the past clipboards you had used? I had about 5 I think that I deleted.
Good Luck,
Vinny

Nope I couldn't see the past ones, but I did follow it step by step like he said. I did find out that that the GS3 has a bug when it comes to the clipboard and a ton of people could not delete it unless the rooted and did it through root explorer. Im happy now, the clipboard is clear, im rooted and I can always use root explorer to fix the problem if it happens again.

Deleting stock browser's default bookmarks?

One of the reasons I rooted my phone was so I can delete my stock browser's default bookmarks. But unfortunately it won't still allow me to delete 'em. Is there a way to delete them?
TIA!

In the market there is an app named MyBookmarks. This will give you the ability to delete the pre loaded bookmarks.
You don't need any apps from the market to delete those bookmarks. Just go to applications - browser - clear data. Open your browser and go to bookmarks. Long press on bookmark and choose delete. I learned this a few months ago, very useful. Hope this helps you.

This worked! Thanks!
Awesome tip!
You've known this for months and you didn't tell ME? LOL!
Great tip, it works!!! I hated those damn things.
However I'm easily confused LOL...... so to clarify.....
Settings > Application manager > All > Internet > Clear Data
Then go to the bookmark page and long press and delete! Yay!
This is gonna clear your favorites and homepage, a small price to pay.
Has to root the phone?

Im glad I could help you all ! Anything else? lol
Just got the SGS3 (which by the way is the GREATEST PHONE EVER MADE!!! If God or Allah or Buda or whatever higher up, power that be owned a phone... It would be this one. LOL) OK, back on track now. So I'm coming from an HTC phone and I have a TON of bookmarks stored on my browser that I want to transfer over to my new phone. My question is, where can I find my browsers bookmarks using file explorer so that I can zip it up in a file to send to my phones browser? Or is there a better, easier way to do this??
Please help

Two frozen Google apps return

Two Google apps -- Play Books and Play Movies & TV -- keeping returning from the land of the frozen. I go back into TB Pro and refreeze, and within a couple of days at most they are back. All the other Google apps I've frozen remain so. Is there something else on the list I also need to freeze?
When I disable them in app manager they come back after a reboot as well. I think its tied to the play store or something that keeps activating them.

I checked on Play and on app manager for auto update option and don't see one. Odd that only these two are persistent despite freezing. I have the feeling there's another item on TB that needs freezing as well to fix this.
I got sick of this and since I do not want nor need them, I just deleted them

Ah, the more brutal approach. If that worked, and you have no regrets or issues as a result, that seems my only course of action as well.
Why you bother to freeze them or delete? It's part of former Google Market. Do.'t see benefit from deleting it. Can you share your thoughts?

Basically, I have four pages of icons under apps, and many of them are for services I have no interest in and will never use. I'm not trying to save space...I think there's 11 GB free, but I find the clutter off-putting.
Not sure I understand the part about Google Market. Play is just the same thing renamed, isn't it? Plus new look and feel.
Anyway, just de-cluttering the UI.
Yup it comes back now.. Use menu - > hide applications or you can stick them all in one folder and hide just that folder

Good grief...how did I not know about this. Hiding did the trick.
Disabling/freezing Google Partner Setup prevents Books and Movies from getting re-enabled.

Way to restore system app?

Hi guys
Basically due to the battery drain, I would like to switch back to 4.1.1. The problem is the stock browser in 4.1.2 has this text reflow (where you zoom in and double tap to resize text width) This is kinda a big deal to me coming from a HTC and I would very much like to keep this feature.
Is there any way to restore this browser onto the 4.1.1 stock rom? I tried uninstalling it via TitaniumBackup and then using my backup to restore the older version, but it just hanged at the "restoring" dialogue forever. I have also tried every app processing mode to no avail.
Can this be done? Or is there any other way to do this without titanium backup? I really wanna switch back to 4.1.1 but can't without this feature in the new browser.
Thanks for any help.
Seriously don't downgrade to 4.1.1
It has a high vulnerability to sds bug and exynos exploit.

I'm willing to take risk until Samsung fix the battery drain.
Does anyone know how I can get the text reflow on 4.1.1? I'm surprised people aren't that concerned with it. The reflow browser was always a massive advantage htc had over samsung.
I use chrome. So I have no idea.

Have you tried to put apk and odex file to system/app folder and applied permission to rw-r-r?

[Req]Story album from galaxy s4

I have the apk from the system dump. Has anyone gotten it to function? I can pick photos from galley and get a force close. Thanks in advance

Fix for Story Album app
The way around this FCing is stupid but works.
A) Go into settings
B) Click More then Date and Time
C) Set the date format to something else and back out of the screen.
D) Go back into Date and Time and choose the format you actually want.
E) Back out back to the home screen.
F) Reboot your phone.
Bingo. The app actually works rather than crashing as it tries to create an album.
Hope that helps!
How did you even come up with that work around thats crazy. Glad at least you have a solution albeit a very, very weird workaround. Thanks for sharing:beer:

Apologies. I only just noticed this wasn't in the S4 forum. My bad. Hopefully it still works on the Note II.

How do I get that [email protected]@@$$# AT&T address book to stop!

It is driving me nuts!

If you have Root, use a Root-Level file explorer (I like Root Browser) to do the following:
Navigate to /system
Open /app
Find aab.apk
Long press on aab.apk and select rename
Rename to aab.bak
Reboot
So I've seen several people complaining about the AT&T address book, what is it doing,I froze all my bloat with titanium backup, So I never had any issues with it.
Just curious???
When the f*ck did we get ice cream??

I did the same, frozen with Titanium Backup and never had any issues.
You can also call in to cust care & have them take the feature off your account. If you hit cancel the first 2 times it pops up it'll go away, but if you enable it even once, you have to either freeze it or call in for the feature change.
I rooted and froze it.
Its OVER!
