I bought a new phone for my girlfriend on 01/21/12. (via telephone order)
-- and I transferred her number from Verizon.
I was told my plan will switch to a family plan effective on the day the phone is activated. I was even told exactly how much my next bill will be if the phone is activated on the day I receive it (estimated delivery date).
The phone was delivered on 01/23/12.
After activating it and calling them; they told me they were unable to transfer the number and that I'd have to call Verizon.
Well.. it was not until 01/29/12 that they finally transferred the number (after spending hours on the phone with Verizon/ Sprint)..
At one point (01/27/12) Sprint transferred me to a rep. in the specific department that deals with these things directly// whom told me there was no issues on their end and that it had to be something with Verizon. Frustrated, I had her wait on hold as I called Verizon, was transferred to Verizon's same department, and eventually made it a conference call between the three of us.
Anyways, I was checking out my new bill today and through the gigantic mess they throw at you in the monthly statement.. I figured out that they instead switched my plan for the entire month of January- therefore:
I was refunded the entire cost of my old plan for January.
I was billed for the new plan for the entire month of January.
Therefore, my bill was $30 more than it was supposed to be.
Just a reminder- make sure you look through all of your bills and do the math yourself!
AT&T tried to pull the same kind of thing with me last year when I switched over to Sprint.
Also-- I can confirm that Sprint has changed their discounts and they now only apply to the first line on your plan.
I asked a rep. about this and he replied "No, it is applied to the entire plan." but then said that each additional line is added in after (basically trying to confuse me with words).

yea because I work for sprint and deal with this billing issue DAILY, ill be happy to do the math for you since your so glad to exaggerate the billing change
129.99X.2 =25.998, fair assessment 26 bucks

110X.2 = 22. bucks, so lets pull that 400% exaggeration out of your statement please, no ones bill is impacted more that 6 bucks do the math, thanks!

That's what sprint told me too. My bill is only going up 4 dollars a month....sure that seems OK. Would they mind if the amount I paid went down by "only 4 dollars"? I have a feeling they would. F them.

I agree it sucks, but would you rather have sprint go out of business and be forced to choose from att and Verizon, me personally I would rather pay 4 bucks more and get network improvements and unlimited data

Yep. I had 3 lines and a 27 percent discount. My bill was going yo jump by 5 bucks or so. They let me out of the contracts on two lines and waived the ETFs on those two lines. Even offered me 100 bucks when I called inquiring about cancelling the remaining line for my speed issues placing my town. I am beyond happy with Sprint for this. It took one phone call...I got a nice person in Acct Services who knew the policy and procedure. It was all smooth and painless and now my mom and brothers lines are on T-Mobile and I go back to an ultra cheap single plan.

Yea.. if you make any type of change like a price plan change, cancel/restore lines, suspensions, anything mid cycle it will automatically cause pro ration or partial charges and credits on your bill. Which to be expected, the bill will be higher.. also your charged a month in advance.. its confusing but when you do the math if done correctly you will understand.. and the discount is only on the original monthly service cost for The plan alone.. not any extra added on like insurance or extra lines.. only the price of your plan

I agree buddy. F*** sprint!!! They are really starting to nickle and dime the **** out of us. It seems like each month now sprint is trying to add a few bux here and a few there for some stupid excuse. They may be unlimited at the moment but I honestly believe they will be just like the other carriers in the next six months. How dare Anyone try to justify sprints actions latley. I signed with sprint November 2010 & I think my bill should not ever have been a penny more until they wanting me to sign that dotted line again...

I know that this may get the "omg you're a sprint fanboy!"!!" response but...
Why does Sprint get held to higher standards than the other carriers?
Like, are you seriously trying to claim that Verizon and At&t don't nickle and dime people? (lol)
And your last comment about how your "bill should not ever have been a penny more until signing on the dotted line again"...
Again, it's the same with the other carriers and you're foolish to think it isn't.
So I ask, why is Sprint held to a different standard?
As I always say if someone is this unhappy... you're always welcome to switch. I know I would if I was as mad as you seem to be. Maybe that's something you should look into.
Just don't expect that the other carriers are going to be any better. Because the grass isn't greener on the other side.
As much as people want to pretend it is.
Yeah our bill went up 40.00. They said that we don't get the extra line on the family plan for free anymore. I would honestly rather go to Verizon or AT&T, get chumped for change, and have good service everywhere I go. You can call it whatever you want to defend Sprint, but this is complete bull****. You sign a contract stating what you are entitled to pay, and they just throw in random **** that you have to pay for now? And then if you don't like it, you have to pay 350.00 to get out of your contract. Well I know where I'm going as soon as my contract is up.

It really does work, it just puts you in contact with someone who wants to take over your contract. You don't have to go through them once you have someone to take it over, it can all be done through sprint.
But wait a moment. If you sell your cellphone like the HTC Evo for 500 on Ebay you can cancel for 200 bucks and still get 300 bucks extra minus Ebay fees and such but you get 250 still so yeah. Thats silly.
Yes this website does work, I used it to get onto someone's sero plan. Also sprint annually makes changes to their contract sometime after new years. Which allows you to get out off contract
Contract transfers are very common. Go on Craigslist and see how many people are trying to get somebody to take over their Clearwire account. That's how I got out of my contract with that joke of a service provider.

And what good is your Evo without a contract? Can use it on any one else's service can you? Verizon is different frequency? (or will it work?) But they are pricey anyway.
Dang I should have sold my unlimited AT&T account!!! I actually joked about that cause it was a great idea and whomever would not have had to do the limited plans. (with 1500 rollovers too!!!)

Unless you know somebody at Verizon that can get you in, they won't activate it. Some people say you can use some of the smaller providers, but that will vary. But, hey, you can use it for everything else besides phone and data. Like... camera?

Good to know, thanks mrono, curious what contract terms you selected, were you able to get deeper discounts as a Get In member or does Sprint verify any discount eligibility post transfer?
I did it with US Cellular, actually the salesman suggested it. I transferred my account to my baby mamas name and she got to use my phone ( she wanted my blackberry but didn't want to pay for one) it was a win win for me.
I have a free way:
Found this out by accident with at&t and recently did it twice more through verizon. Look at their coverage map ahead of time and find an area a good distance away that has zero coverage. Find a street in the town where the void is located. Get your story straight ahead of time. The first time I really did move into a spot that had no coverage. The other times I wanted out I just made up an excuse that I was moving due to work. Ask them if there is coverage. They will check and tell you no. Act disappointed and ask what your options are then. They will let you close your account with no ETF. Downside is you won't be able to port over your number though.
this site has been around for a while so it's definitely legit. There are usually a number of SERO accounts up on it. Only downside is you lose your number if you care about that. Sometimes it seems like I'm the only one attached to my cell phone number.
I was thinking of doing this to move from AT&T to T-Mobile but I wasn't sure what would happen to the contracts on the 3 lines of my family plan. I was told that I could transfer each line on my family plan separately to 3 different people.
The AT&T rep told me that after I transfered my accounts, each person taking over the line would have a month-to-month with no contract and could cancel at any time without paying an ETF. This sounded completely wrong to me so I called back later and a different rep told me the same thing.
I was sure the person taking over my account would be committed to the remainder of my original contract. Does it make any sense to anyone that they'd be able to cancel immediately without paying an ETF? Could it have something to do with how long I've been with AT&T or that I have a business premiere account?
Thanks,
Alan
P.S. Oops, sorry I just realized I posted this in a forum for a phone that's not on AT&T. Would still appreciate any info anyone has, thanks.

How do you get away with that??? I have only two phones on my account and I pay $160 unlimited everything.
I thought each extra phone was another $10 or $20??? four should be $200.
So I have a Radioshack employee plan thats a few years old that my rep allowed me to keep. Everything has been great with it but of course I have to pay full price for phone, no upgrades.. well, I bought an Evo expecting to just add the 10$ charge and activate it but its trying to get me to change the whole plan.
I chatted with sprint online, on phone, and in store, but no one can activate it, and since I no longer have contact with the rep he cant make the changes.. Ive skimmed thru many forums and found a handful of people that got their activated but no one is talking about how they got it done..
Can anyone here give me some incite?
Here is what ive tried
Sprint Chat: Employee could only do the same thing as me online, supervisor refused to even talk about it
corp Store: Couldnt even bring up my acct, told me to call *2 customer service
Email: Sent email to a Sprint Indirect Account Executive, awaiting response
Email2: CCd that email with a Excel file for a Demo Activation form to demorequests(AT) sprint
Phone: Have not called yet, awaiting email response
Anyone have anything they have tried that worked? Im gonna be pretty ticked off if I just spent 350$ on a phone that I cant activate on my plan.. That money could have paid my bill for a year.
I use to have an employee plan with RS I have a number you can call to talk specifcally to employee plan management. As long as you do not tell them you no longer are an employee of Sprint/RS they should be able to add the EVO and yes you will have to pay $10 more a month. I will PM you the number as soon as I find it.
Wow, they never gave me a number for employee lines..
There is a LOT of people that number would be pure gold for..
Would be greatly appreciated
I PM'd you the number and some additional info
I currently work for RS and everything I've been told from my managers and sprint reps is that it can't be activated on an RS employee plan. From what I understand you can't even activate them on a sprint employee plan yet. I will ask some questions tomorrow at work and let you know.

Heres what ive heard.. Due to the limited supply of EVOs sprint is not technically allowing 3rd party emps to use these phones as the Emps will preorder a large chunk of them. Until there are plenty to go around they are holding off. But people have still managed to get it activated, so it IS possible..
If contacting the Sprint Indirect Sales exec cant/wont change it I still have a couple alternatives to test.
I can try getting them to force add the 10$ premium data charge to my plan and then activate the phone purely by ESN swap.
Or, this worked for someone, but they had Sprint change their plan to the 69.99+10$, activate the phone, then change the plan back leaving the 10$ charge intact. (Im avoiding this until last resort because these is a high possibility that I wont be able to revert my plan back to the original price if something goes wrong)
Ive also got a couple phone numbers to call and a few insiders with certain levels of access, its just a matter of finding the magic combo.

I work for RS as well and I got my EVO activated in the beginning of September. There was nothing out of the ordinary about it, either. I just contacted my Sprint rep to get the employee plan set up. I filled out the form she sent me with the EVO's ESN and there was absolutely no issues with it and she didn't say anything about my phone of choice being an EVO. So the EVO CAN be activated on a Sprint employee plan but I'm not sure how the OP would go about this since he doesn't have the ability to contact his former Sprint rep.
I work for RS also... lol....it is called Indirect Employee Demo Plan I have an EVO and I tried to get the evo put on my account by doing an ESN swap and it wouldn't do it (to avoid the $10 data charge) but then I asked my sprint rep and she has to do it, it was then switched to this plan, exact same price but just $10 more.
You have to get your Sprint rep or the employee support line to switch your plan to indirect employee demo plan. It works on EVO, might have to make multiple calls to the employee line because they technically aren't supposed to change third party employee plans.

UPDATE.. Got it working!

If you have a normal contract and work for RS they will switch you over (I think thats what your asking).. Some people just kept their current plan and added this one for 20$ cause its just that hella awesome..
Unfortunately, the biggest downfall to this plan is there you never get a discount on phones, you have to provide all the hardware yourself, even from the beginning.
But this new plan is even better than my old one because I had to have the add roaming, and pic messages werent free, but now its all included.. We are also not allowed to have TEP since we provide our own hardware and TEP has to be setup within 30 days of when the device is purchased (from vendor only), but I got TEP during a system glitch during open enrollment.. So for 37$/mo, I have pretty much the best of everything Sprint has to offer, W00T!
I just got hired at radioshack part-time.. I have 3 lines
1 evo 69.99 + 10 premium
2 blackberry 30.00 SERO employee plan + 10.00 BIS
3 Free air rave
I also get a 27% chase bank discount. My full time employer
My question is, can I switch my evo and blackberry over to the 3rd party plan and how much will it be.. I don't start working at radioshack until mid Nov. but I'm technically hired. My supervisor is new aswell and has no clue how things work.. I have the emp services number but what do I tell them?
WOW
Good for you man. It's nice to see somebody getting a piece of the pie when these phone company's have been sticking it to consumers for years (even though I love Sprint... All cell comp.'s have their bad sides) Just curious, what is the life of the contract? Is it a standard 2 year, and if not how long?
Two contract with my evo and one year with my blackberry/SERO plan which I bought off of eBay
You have to be at least 6 months into your plan to make the switch and you are only allowed one plan per company (They have the same plan for Sprint/T-Mo/at&t) so you could only do whichever one of your phones you pay more for and have had for 6 months.
As for the guy how said about TEP when I signed up for my plan TEP was on the list of features that you could check to have added to your plan no questions asked. This was only about a year or 2 ago so maybe they changed it before/after but I got it without a glitch on Sprint and T-Mo (I got the T-Mo line for my girl) Now I work just for T-Mo and with their employee plan (even better then what RS had to offer or what Sprint did when I worked for them after RS before T-Mo) I can get PHP (T-Mo TEP) and its only 6 bucks!! And the other perks are AMAZING!!! Anyone looking to sell cell phones, go to T-Mobile. Anyone in Lancaster PA let me know via PM
And another policy change... only the Primary line is eligible for discounts after Feb 1.
http://www.sprintfeed.com/2011/12/s...ing-february-2nd-2012-it-just-might-cost-you/
This comes after removing the discounts on lines 3-5, doubling the activation fees, revamping the Premier program, and then removing the Premier program. Basically my 20% company discount is only good for 1 line, big whoop.
So, let's see... they're "aligning" to what AT&T and Verizon do, but they still have the slow network and 3G speeds. 4G is at least over a year away if I stay with Sprint, Verizon and T-mobile have 4G locally and AT&T and coming soon. Why would I pay the same for slower speeds? Yeah, time to move on.
For those that don't want to read the article linked... sfhub clearly summarizes the article in a simple way...

Line 1/2 $129.99 => Line 1 $110.00 / Line 2 $19.99
Your NVP discount 10%, 15%, 27%, 28%, etc. will then only apply only to Line 1, no longer Line2

i really hope they lose big on the iphone.... sounds like another apple induced policy.... lame. unfortunately they will be pushing the cost of a couple VZ lines for me.... i barely use data. Really not seeing the point of staying much longer... sad...
it may be time to reactivate the old bb curve and moment... and sell the Epic 1 and 2....

Cool... Now Sprint has until January 31, 2012 to fix their network issues before a mass exodus occurs ETF free. Now you know what the next change will be, goodbye unlimited.
This would only applying to accounts with multiple individual lines not family plans, correct? I thought they already did away with discounts on the extra lines of family plans.

I don't know if this will allow for eft-free cancellation.
I love my E4GT, but my wife is not excited about the $220 after discounts that we pay every month. I get 4G in the office, but the rest of the family doesn't. We have 4 accounts in our family plan, and every month the rates go up somehow. My son uses android apps, but doesn't make calls, so i was thinking about the $30 tmo prepaid option. I read something about 2 lines with everything "unlimited" on tmo for $30 each. My agency has a 20% discount which I wonder if it is only for one line or all... But those were prepaid and chances are for discount you need a contract. Sigh. I think no matter what, they have a tight grip on our privates.
I am tired of no 4G coverage, doubled activation fee, removal of premier, required $10 fee for any smartphone, removal of discounts on 3+ lines, and now removal of discount on 2+ lines, increase of ETF and reduction of return/satisfaction window, added fees... Did I miss something??
Is sprint really the best bang for your buck?? I get 4G coverage for tmo and Verizon around my area. Verizon is too expensive, and can't hear anything but bad things about at&t. Tmo is the one nobody talks about.
Anybody got any insight about tmo as a possible migration path if this causes an ETF free contract breach!?
Have buy back from best buy on all my phones. But that would not help me if I were to buy used phones off Craigslist or ebay or some such...
Anyway, I don't want to bug anybody, to each their own. I just hate how powerless we are about all the changes sprint has made, and the cost it hS in our bill at the end of the month.

This actually brings it in line with the rest of their discount policy... They already say they won't discount any fee or service that is less than $20.
Granted it's crummy, but I frankly assumed that the $19.99 was a segregated fee anyway (I don't have multiple lines).

I thought so, too. I'm still receiving discounts on my 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines though. If speeds don't improve by Jan 31st, sadly I have to say I will probably leave, too. We all know that all of these policy changes just mean more are around the corner.

Discounts aren't typically a part of your contract though, so you'll still have to pay an ETF to leave.

While that could be true, the discount plays a part on why some continue their service, and deal with the reduction of quality service that's been occurring. Now, this will change the price by eliminating the discounts which is why some are still with them. This is an increase that wasn't agreed to, the same as when they jacked up the taxes, and should result as early dismissal. While i'm holding on, if the price gets raised more to match their competitors, without providing the same quality of service, then there's no real incentive to stay.

But the family plan is so because it was $129. 99 for two lines. That is the plan. Then, you can add extra lines. If you only had a line, then added a second one, it would be shared, but that's not how the plan was inscribed in the family contract. Otherwise, they're saying you could have a one-line family shared plan, for $110 + and $10 for smartphone, way more than their unlimited single plan. The reason why it was a good deal is because it was a bundled 2x$129. 99. The $20 extra lines was just icing on the cake. Prettyuch they are trying to become everything everyone Hayes, to stay "competitive". Are we screwed or are we screwed?
How long are we going to allow them to f°°know us over?
Where does it end? When they declare no more unlimited data? Oh wait they did that with hotshot and mobile devices... And we are still here. Yeah I'm loyal to Sprint, but before we realize it, we are gonna end up paying as much as Verizon for a subpar service (I know, Verizon is way more expensive...)
I have an E4GT, 2 EVO3D, 1 Evo4gshift. Maybe I can get something for them.
My wife is pregnant, and with the costs of medical care in the US, every penny counts.

I had AT&T for about 3 years and was horrified with their services.. The only reason I moved to Sprint was because of a higher corp discount and better reviews from people I knew with Sprint.. Also, AT&T somehow screwed up my contract and my corp discount with them, which was the reason I was able to get out ETF free after 1 year into my contract.
This is definitively a sneaky move on Sprint's part and I won't take it laying down. I usually fight these type of changes and win. I'm not trying to get anything free, I just want to serve my sentence (contract term), without any damn changes on what we agreed... is that so damn hard to understand?
And to those saying this is not a contract change, it is to those of us with the corp discounts. When you receive your corp discount, you have to RE-sign a new 2 yr contract agreeing to receive this discount for the length of your contract.
Here is an example of something similar not too long ago with Sprint:

Not saying the store reps know half the sh!t that comes out of their mouths but I ad an entire store of them here tell me all of these changes (all for the worse) are because of the iPhone. They're all pissed about it and loathe the day Sprint 'signed a contract with the devil' as they put it.
So if I get a 25% discount because of my employer - I won't get it anymore after 2-1-2012? Because that's a HUGE breach of contract if that's true. I kept mine so I know what it says - already had to use it once because I was told I only had one activation fee then got charged all three on my bill.
This is a material adverse, I don't care how it's worded. I signed a CONTRACT for a certain amount and certain discounts. If that changes by 0.1 cent - it's a breach.

ATTs customer service is horrid, but otherwise they're probably my favorite network in the US. I'd never switch because of the insane price, capped data, boot for tethering, throttling grandfathered contracts, etc.
Sprint needs to make their network worth having before they charge more.

We should start a class action suit on Sprint, for charging the extra $10 for 4G LTE phones, and if it's not available in your area... Sprint shouldn't be charging the extra $10 until they deliver, cause there charging us for something there not giving us. I just want my $10 back for every month I've paid the extra fee for LTE, up until they deliver it. Who's with me!? Do the math, it adds up....

This has been discussed ad nauseum. The $10 is a premium not for the data, rather just for simply having a smart phone.
Sprint customers have been paying this fee for a long time. Long before they were even talking about LTE.

You're basically paying for Sprint to build out their network. I wouldn't be surprised if they eliminate unlimited data once they are done rolling out LTE.
Hah! I remember this crybaby argument back when I had an EVO! It's a data fee, not a 4G fee. If you don't like it, feel free to drop your unlimited data and switch to another carrier.

Ok soo to get this straight.
The $10.00 fee was originally labeled as a WIMAX 4G fee only for 4G phones.
Then people got all up in arms about not having wimax 4g coverage and still getting charged the fee.
So Sprint got smart and said let's make some money and re-label it as a "premium data" fee. And now it's charge to all phones that sprint considers high data use phones aka most smart phones.
OP I can give you a box of tissues to cry in if you'd like?

I signed a contract with them 2 years ago, and at the time they were calling it a "4G wimax" fee, many months after the contract start date, they started calling it a "premium data fee". Well, they didn't have 4G wimax in my area when I signed the contract, even though it's a major city where both AT&T and Verizon now have LTE, and seeing how things are going, Sprint eventually decided that wimax was a losing and obsolete technology so now they've decided to switch to 4G LTE, guess what, we're never gonna get wimax where we are now, and it'll probably be another 2 yrs before they might even get close to having LTE here. So that means waiting another 2 yrs to get the "premium data"? Meanwhile, now that they're trying to fund their LTE installation, somehow their CDMA 3G has got even worse than before, to the point that I barely even get a continuous data connection, my voice calls often say "network busy" or shows roaming, and data speeds average about 100 kbps when they used to consistently be about 700 kbps when I signed up for the contract. Needless to say, I got fed up and switched to Verizon. However, I agree with this post, why should i have to pay the 4G additional fee only for them to realize they could get sued and change the name of it to "premium data fee", only to figure out that they picked the wrong version of 4G so I have to wait another 2 yrs, and during the process not only not get "premium data", but now not ANY data? I already paid for it for 2 yrs, and where did that get me? I agree, they should return people's extra $10 if they failed to improve their service during this entire time, and if you switch due to their non-existent data and voice service, they should also void your ETF becuase it is their fault. I never wanted to go to Verizon, so why should I have paid the extra $10/month only to have to switch carriers now?
How does it go to proceed with suing them?

The $10 fee has nothing to do with 4G / LTE though, so what would the class action suit be over? Its basically just a fee that they charge on devices they think use more data, has nothing to do with 4G.

When they first started charging it with the release of the original EVO I was very upset because I could never get WiMax to work anywhere. But after all the other carriers just discontinued unlimited data I think the extra $10 charge is well worth it to subsidize my heavy internet usage

Sprint wants 100 bucks to buy out my remaining 2 months. Seriously now 100 bucks for 2 months. By my calculation its 14 and some change if you go by 350 etf divided by 24 months. Then on top of that I was told I have to give them my E4GT. Sprint has lost their damn minds............
Told them I am going to check out verizon. Sorry but 100 bucks + my E4GT + 250 S4 is not a good deal. Now add to this Sprint is charging 50 more bucks for the S4 than what everyone else is charging. For 250 bucks at verizon I also get the car adapter and case. With sprint you get nothing.

$100 is the minimum it doesn't get any lower. Once you hit 6 months remaining the proration stops. And paying your prorated ETF you DO NOT have to turn in your phone. The rep you talked to was an idiot and didn't know what they were doing. The only time they can request you return the device is when they let you out ETF free. The ETF is to cover the subsidy on the device.

Agreed. What they likely meant (but did NOT communicate well) is that you CAN bring in the phone for them to buy back. Currently I think the E4GT gets about $75 bucks. Perhaps that can be applied at the same time? Seems that would make sense, since at the end of the the contract you would technically fully own it, thus not needing to pay the $100 fee, and then you'd get the full $75 for the phone. In this case, you have the $100 ETF penalty, but perhaps you can still get $75 for the phone to offset that (making it only ~$25 that you owe?)

I'm not sure it even gets $75 sprints only giving out $106 for the SIII. Plus if you mention the $50 gift card for upgrading with them thats an additional $50 towards the new device so you'd end up paying between $100 and $150 for ths SIV depending on the buy back price for the SII maybe less if the buy back is over $100.

What the hell is going on with sprint seriously

Sprint sucks. Their service sucks plus coverage sucks. I moved to a place and I get roaming. And manyplace i drive i get bad signal some places decent and many places roaming. Anyway's I had to break the contract. I have to fork out close to 400 bucks. I was with them for less then a year. Oh well... Have to pay it. So basically I should pay and probably get it flash to cricket. Or just burn it. I paid close to 200 dollars when I went to get this phone.

FYI, Cricket is a Sprint MVNO (ie - they use Sprint's network). Flashing to them isn't gonna solve anything coverage-wise. Same for Virgin, Ting and Boost.

I do remember that I switch from verizon to cricket and speed and reliability was there and coverage but that was on a droid x also cricket I was getting over 1mb connection. S2 epic touch on sprint oh boy. So what should I do? I guess sell it. I love my s2 with the new ota jelly bean my phone flies. But I did saw on wiki that cricket have their own network but places where there no cricket network it would use sprint and other network. I'm pissed off. I wish I made more research. Now I know what to get. Here there is dozen of att tower and many tmobile tower. I think I'll go with tmobile. This is frustrating because it's now a paperweight phone.
The issue I had is now corrected with Sprint. Now while sprints coverage and data rates can be lacking, sprint however did work with me and today I am all hooked up, bought out the remaining 2 months and got the S4 for $219.
I will give Sprint kodos and a BZ for still wanting to work with me after my bad atitude yesterday.
Yes me having to give them my old S2 was a mistake and to make a long story short it was just bad communications on both parts. Again its all good now and i will have my new S4 on Monday WoooooHooooooo

I is thinking. Buying S4 no contract. U are stuck with contract for how long? Anyways I think phone is 600+ I would get sim card version of tmobile and use
straight talk using t mobile tower for 45 bucks? I don't tether i have a super fast isp at home I can tether to my note tablet but wont use much data. But I'm
still thinking but sprint no way I'll would stay with them they only have one tower in Fresno ca. In Fresno there is dozen of att tower and many tmobile tower. Both on 4g but not Sprint. So I'll get 4g straight talk using tmobile. By passing proxy they wont know I'm tethering . But if I can afford I'll be on tmobile unlimited 70 bucks 4g unlimited. I guess no throttle. Straight talk do throttle infact kick people off if using up to much data. How is you're S4? There is a 8 core wow. Too but more expensive and it's not what sprint or any carrier offer in USA.

I like my S2 but I cant flash to other carrier they all using Sprint here Fresno. Boost, cricket, virgin. It's not even LTE? I love my phone. Very smooth with Jelly Bean. Time for new phone.
I will get my new shinny off the show room floor S4 next week. Cant wait to play
T-Mobil is a no go, no service here where I live ( according to their website )
Verizion is just to damn expensive, 40 dollars per month access fee on top of the plan fee LOL version is high alright
Sprint has 3 towers here were I live ( home town ) so Im good with service but data is sucking. I use my home internet for my data needs so I am set in that regard. What I have found is that Sprint voice and txt is good but data can be improved upon.
If I used data like a hog OTA then verizon would be a better choice but more expensive. Other wise Sprint is the better choice for me.
I will still keep my S2 E4GT and use it as a backup just incase or as a music player or to do youtube or something ( wifi ). Damn I cant wait until I get my grubby hands on the S4

Yea dude. I had not issue where there is coverage. Sprint is probably the best phone when there is bit low bars. But Data speed sucks. And they are
very slow on putting up 4g tower. In fact it would cost them putting tower. Many companies would already have 3g tower all they do is upgrade their network but sprint it would cost soo much because they have to put up tower and plus new network so. Sprint when there is coverage it works. They need more tower here and move on with 4g here. God don't you love you're S2? It's a epic touch 4g right?

I have a bone to pick with these statements. People always say that using a sprint MVNO would be no different but have you guys ever done a 3G test with a Sprint phone vs a Boost phone? Well I did and let me tell you the cheap boost phone demolished my E4GT! It was .20mbps on my Sprint phone vs 1.20 on the boost phone.
