that link is for a ROMs for a different phone which is why they don't work
you can make your own here, instructions on how to do it are there too.
you can change a whole lot more than just battery too

Hi everyone...
I am a big fan of this webpage and is now trying to get a battery icon in my taskbar that shows how much its left.
The problem is i have downloaded several taskbars to get that, all of them have been great in everyway exept for showing what i really want
Can anyone help me with this would be very happy if my problem gets solved.
If anyone have a solution for me in another thread i have not found it.
Many thanks in advance

Try this indicator it's customizable so you can put it over the old ugly one.

Hi,
I'm wondering whether anyone succeeded in changing the battery indication of the ONE X in one with percentage indication.
I read that UOT kitchen would already be able to process ICS files but I received an error message (SHIFT) and the files were not delivered.
Someone a hint?
Solved for me
Ok due to too many replies ;-) I built it myself with the apktool. Who is interested in having the cycle percentage battery indicator on the stock ONE X rom (1.26.401.2) can overwrite the /system/app/SystemUI.apk with the one I attached to this post.
The style of the cycle percentage is the same as the one form ROMeOS Rom. I took the png's from there.
hyperlink doesnt work. just dowloading 1kB
Silly question: do I need to be unlocked, rooted, etc?
I wouldn' want to void warranty untill I'm sure the not-so-impressive battery life and small bugs are not due to hardware failure.
Edit: missread the post, sorry...
Can't overwrite if I'm not rooted... Duh!

Link should work on regular PC. Don't know why IT doesn't work with the xda app.
Yes tel. has to be rooted and a backup is recomended before messing with system Files.
Cheers

Doesn't work on my PC also. Neither in firefox nor in chrome . Says downloading 5xx bytes.
Why not just use the application from Play called Battery Percentage? Then you can slide down the notification window and it shows you how many percent you've got left.
It also has in-built temperature sensor.
Leedroid tweaks will do it nicely.

Ok, I exchanged the SystemUI.apk in the second post. Now it is wrapped by a zip and it works. It is no update.zip, though. You have to extract the SystemUI.apk and exchange it with the one in /system/app/. Afterwards you have to restart you phone if you haven't been in recovery anyway.
cheers
Hello together,
is there any way to exchange the regular battery icon in the task bar with a battery percentage symbol witout rooting the One X?

But you can get a lot of free programs from play that add a second battery indicator with a percentage.

can you post picture of comparison before and after install?
Cell Standby consumes more battery only when there is bad n/w for me.. Otherwise its always around 3rd or 4th place for me.. Below Screen, Android System and Media Server.. Since i use Media Apps a lot..

I don't think that 54seconds means simething usefull, changes like this need few days of testing. Also what does it do, make your phone stick longer to a gsm cell instead of auto switching to the best available one?

Wrong section, you need to ask in Q&A...
1. Try deleting Battery Stats
2. Turn off and charge.
Good luck...

... OK, open up BBS. What does it say? Change the pane to wake locks. What does that say? Take a screenshot. How about the alarms pane? Take another screenshot. Post the screen shots here.

Download Battery Calibration app and follow the instructions of the App. Maybe it will fix it.
are you really sure your battery is still fresh? what combination (kernel+OS) you use ? also please check your apps... but even on heavy usage (for me is playing game, downloading torrent, and listening music) it can do about 2 hours...
