Battery showing % left

Hi everyone...
I am a big fan of this webpage and is now trying to get a battery icon in my taskbar that shows how much its left.
The problem is i have downloaded several taskbars to get that, all of them have been great in everyway exept for showing what i really want
Can anyone help me with this would be very happy if my problem gets solved.
If anyone have a solution for me in another thread i have not found it.

I tried it but still does not work It shows all icons in the taskbar perfectly but does not show how much of the battery that is left. Dont understand why. But thanks anyway

i believe sdkcerts gives you the percentage or allows your phone to read the correct file

Ok thanks i will try that...

I have tried everything and eventully I have the battery icon but then i have another problem. Now it shows both the new battery and the old boring white one.
Anyone have an idea what is wrong?

Try this indicator it's customizable so you can put it over the old ugly one.

that link is for a ROMs for a different phone which is why they don't work
you can make your own here, instructions on how to do it are there too.
you can change a whole lot more than just battery too

just bought htc one x.please help...

i just bought a htc one x (sh 26 model) i am facing a very different issue. when i take a picture,the brightness gradually reduces when i view it. then when i close the camera app,brightness returns bak to the original level.. why does the brightness gradually reduces wen viewing a pic which has been JUST TAKEN? any solution.. p.s. i am still on 1.28

When you open your camera app it automatically goes to full brightness, then goes back to how you had it before when you exit the app. That's how it's supposed to be so don't worry your phones not faulty

Hey everyone. Is there a substitute for the power button coz I find it difficult to reach. And I did update my brand new HOX to the latest its update I got which is 1.29.161.13.
I am still unrooted. Is this the latest OTA?

Could try Brick Kernel I believe it has a Swipe2wake feature. It works by by swiping across the screen, nt tried it myself (if i'm wrong please feel free to correct me)

i have disabled auto sync but still i receieve my facebook notifications, what to do about that? also i am having bad battery life. playing temple run for 5 mins takes up 6 percent at minimum brightness and all other things turned off. this is my first charge cycle

Can anyone please help me a bit please.

Inside Facebook like on newsfeed page, press menue button and there untick Notifications...otherwise you are bombarded, of course depending on the activity of your friends
Now you can leave the Facebook sync active

First thing disable the fastbbot option...settings/power I think
Then untick under Sound the three options under Incoming Calls...silent when turning done over ect...and louder ring in pocket...useless options but the sensors will eat up juice...
Then check your sync settings for each account...mail app is great with the smartsync option for different accounts like your gmail and exchange, fb doesn't need more than once an hour, better even more. Weather like every three hours ext....get a battery check app like Battery Monitor App to see how your usage is during the day...and lastly, unlock your HOX via HTC Dev, root it, put CWM on it and flash one of the awesome Sense custom ROMs...amazing develeoping going on there
BTW...the screen is sucking up juice anyways, and with playing intensive games even more...I don't play really so can't help you there...oh and unlocking voids your warranty with HTC...nothing's for free...but it is well worth it!

I don't have the warranty. I don't care about the warranty. Today is my third charge cycle and now its preety good. Screen on for 2:32 mins and still 30% left. How's that? Good or bad. I don't wanna install the custom Rom today but I am gonna root it though. How can I save up more battery with a rooted HOX?

Try posting in one of the other battery threads. 3 hours screen on time seems.normal, depending on brightness level.
I would suggest installing the latest ARHD ROM (Android Revolution HD) by Mike. It uses the latest 2.15.401.5 base which is supposed to increase battery life and performance quite significantly.

what is the latest OTA version? my one says 1.29.161.13. i wanted to install Rosie Launcher but here it says : 1.29.401.xx http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1656201
there are no software version available for my device yet. till 18th august

Can anyone please shed some light on my question please.

If you don't have a notification saying there is an update available, there is not an update available for you. Simples, huh?

use sleep to wake kernel if you want BUT i will NOT support any bug reports from people using that kernel...

I havent tried it myself - so just try it

Nvm... just saw them in your list.
Superuser.apk non existent in /system/app. Flash a superuser flashable zip for temporary fix. note: su in xbin is present.
L.E: took these files from PrimoC version.
push these files in /system/app
set the right permissions (flash a superuser zip in cwm first because superuser is borked for the moment).
reboot
now rom control and themes should work.

anyone on this rom can confirm battery drain even when phone is sleeping? i had 20 battery left when i slpt at night.. and morning i saw phone was turned off .. and screen blink issues when unlocking phone?

problems with bt.. no matter which type of file i send the recipient always receives it in. html format and transfer completes in less than a sec dafuq :0

earphone problem
problem with headset/earphone, not detected when plugged.

I find out this:
- lack of "mobile data" and "2G/3G" toggles
- lack of any file explorer
- after some time something strange (like fading and shrinking) happens with some letters in apps and settings (on NOVA Launcher Premium)
- MusicFX seems doesn't work
I'm using kernel from 1st post of AOKP thread
And here's some questions:
1) Is there any possibility of containing in this ROM options such "hide status bar on lock screen" and "transparent (or half-transparent) status bar"?

i just do another test to make sure,
i revert to my old roms (cyanogen cm10 test 78) and the headphones works fine, then i reflash back to aokp and the problem came back, headphones not detected, and the music play trough speaker, is like the headphones not there.

you have an app that eats you the battery. install a battery monitor app from the market and see what's eating all the juice. screen blink issue is present also in cmx, so it is a kernel problem.

Hi guys! Again here's another mod from me. This mod should fix the lockscreen issue when any apps requiring accessibility is enabled.
Just push the apk in

replacing the original one with this mod.
Sorry guys was not able to make a flashable zip my phone is the only device I have right now to access the internet(no computer) so would really appreciate it if someone can make a flashable zip for me

May I ask what were the issues with the apps using open accessibility? I use Knock2+
and if I need the fix, which out of the two attachment do I need? Do I need to flash both of them? or just the second one as the file name suggested its purposes?

Just come across this thread from a post on the trickdroid forums...
This is great....just installed the zip on my HTC One and its seems to be working perfect at the moment....if theres any issues I'll post up after a days use...

For instance, I have a pebble watch that requires the pebble app. The pebble app requires that you start the service for pebble in the accessibility settings. So an option at the top under services you have to turn on. As soon as you turn on one of the services there - as far as I know any service not just pebble - it will make the lockscreen broken. So from that point on just touching the lockscreen anywhere will unlock the device. You don't have to swipe up the lock or clock anymore. And you can't pull any of the app icons up to load into those. It just unlocks the device as soon as you touch the screen. The big problem with this is if the phone is ringing in your pocket. As you pull it out of your pocket and it rubs against your leg/pants, it will unlock/answer the call. Now occasionally I don't want to answer the phone. Its been a big problem.
Thanks to the OP for this fix. You are a life saver! Or at least a sanity saver.

wow is was wondering about this today i noticed that i no longer have to drag the icon up to unlock it. thanks for clearing this up.

I flashed the zip in the download link and now my phone won't go past the "starting apps" screen after boot and before lockscreen shows.
I even reflashed the rom (dirty) and it won't work. Can you make a flashable file which puts the original files back so I can adb push it on my One.
I am on Trickdroid 5.5.1. by the way.
Please Help.

I can't reproduce your problem so please try wiping dalvik cache or deleting the folder /data/data/com.htc.idlescreen.base/
And if it still persists try doing a factory reset instead.
Doing a dirty install of the Trickdroid ROM should have restored the original lockscreen app so I'm pretty sure it's something to do with your dalvik-cache.
Just try wiping dalvik-cache for now it shouldn't delete anything so it's safe.

So I guess the fix can only be used if you're rooted and that sucks cause I am not

Yes no other way at all sorry Better issue this bug to HTC then and wait for an update with a fix.

Is there a specific place to report these bugs? I mentioned this issue to them on the technical support form, but I'm not sure if it's the right place.

I was wondering if this mod would negate the option to disable exchange server security? I've flashed trickdroid and applied this mod, but now my exchange server is requiring a password/pin on unlock. I'd like to be able to disable this when I'm home in tasker and I have that setup, but now it doesn't work. I think it was this mod that removed that feature from TrickDroid. Do you know the answer?

@Riyal since installing this fix I have a problem with the proximity sensor while on a call. Sometimes the screen goes black as soon as the call connects and the screen doesn't come back on. Sometimes the screen doesn't turn off when I hold the phone to my face and sometimes it does turn off but won't turn on again.
Is this problem related to this fix? Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hi! I'm not sure about the exchange server mod as I am not using it. I'll take a look at the mod soon and see what was modified on it and see if it conflicts with my mod.
And by the way could you give me a tutorial/guide on how and where to get an exchange account to test? Pardon but I don't really use that feature at all.
Anyways I am using exchange activesync on my phone right now but only using live.com account. And I'm not sure if having a private exchange server is needed.

Hi! Proximity sensor works perfectly well with my mod here. I have already called a number of times with the mod installed and I am also using tasker and I can't reproduce the problem
