Echo when using speaker phone - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Running unlocked/rooted 4.0.4 and anytime I try to use the speaker phone the person on the other end of the call says they hear their voice echo about a 1/2 second later as they speak.
Anyone else having this? Thanks

the speakerphone volume may be too high that it feeds back into the mic again

Use to have that on my fascinate when using any custom mtd rom.
Have you tried going back to stock to rule out hardware

Thanks for the reply, I am running stock ROM.

I had this problem when using the headset, turned out a new sim fixed it, cdma version.

Drowning stuttering robot

Is anyone having call quality issues on the cdma gn? I'm on my second device and going to get a news sim today. Everyone I talk to sounds like a stuttering robot who occasionally puts his head underwater. Occurs on bt, headset, speakerphone, and handset.

[Q] call echo on stock ics

is any one experiencing any call echo on the official update we just received?

That's what i was hoping but they said it was echoing pretty bad.
I'm gonna run the wipe cache script and see if that helps at all, unless there is some other way of fixing this issue that i'm not aware of
try to flash Yaldak's echo fix, it sure will fix it
No echo here.. Used it for incoming/outgoing all morning...
No echo here sounded clear !!

None here over 4G or wifi.
You got that made in china T989 phone... That canal street galaxy s2 lol
I had not experienced any echo until last night. It occurred when using wi-fi calling and I had originated the call. Everything I said or heard was repeated once, with about a 1-2 second delay.

Bluetooth Volume

I use me phone several hours a day on voice calls. I have used my headset (blue parrot) with a bunch of phones and never had any problems with the volume. In fact the headset is so loud I rarely have to have the volume all the way up. I got the note on Saturday and the volume on my headset while using this phone is very low with the volume all the way up on the phone and headset. This is just for voice calls, I watch YouTube videos and Skype calls are just fine, just the voice calls. I have went through the settings and can't figure it out. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

I'm seriously considering going back to the gs3 over this. I'm gonna call sprint and see if they can help me out. I'll keep you informed.

Widely recognized problem. Volume is a bit better on the Jelly bomb ROM. Haven't found any other ROMs that help much.

[Q] Incoming and Outgoing Calls

Hi all. My girlfriend has the T989 on T-Mobile. Bone stock with 4.04 kernel 3.0.8 unrooted and whatnot. She loves the phone and doesn't want me tussling with it. Here's the problem. Incoming and outgoing calls on both cellular and wifi calling don't work occasionally. All you'll hear on both ends is silence. You know that the received caller picked up because the talk time counter goes until hang up. I think it may be something wrong with the OS installation on the production line. Should I contact Samsung or trying toying with it myself? Thank you for the time if you read this.

You could try to flash new radio that might help.

The first 2 things I would try:
1. Factory Reset
2. New SIM card

Hmm... Ill have to check out what's available for radio firmware later as I'm using my phone haha. As for the factory reset and sim card, doesn't work. Data is more stable with the new sim card though. Ill let you guys know what happens with flashing radio firmware. Thank you for the suggestions thus far.

[Q] Earpiece not working, volume tweaking!

Well I noticed that my earpiece quit working on the N2 today and my volume goes down all on its own... any ideas? It was dropped bu only like 18". Its taken many falls in the past with no problems...
[EDIT]
SO, I am not so sure its a fall thing... It fell at about 2pm and I have made and received calls SINCE then just fine... It's degenerative. Examples: First, I could not hear out of the handset earpiece... but people could hear me. Now, a few hours later, they can also NOT hear me which indicates the phones mic is not working... IF I turn on Speaker Phone, it works fine and I can communicate just great with anyone/everyone... also works with my car hooked up to Bluetooth just fine... So, could the Tweaked ROM I am running be screwing with something? Should I just try to flash another ROM and see what happens? I have already tried the last modem and the newest modem, both which had no effect on the situation... Any info would be greatly appreciated!
I would try another ROM to see because I am having somewhat similar issues with no drops at all. I had this in TOUCHWIZ and it was bad. But when I switched to PAC-rom I have different volume issues. Certain (newer I believe) headphones play either double out the phones as well as my integrated speaker and once I had the volume phreak out going up and down inadvertently.
I just love my ROM sooo much that I am dealing with it for now. PAC-rom 4.3 JB nightly updates on Galaxy note 2.
