OTA Update IMM30B 4.04 - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Anyone know anything about this??
http://forums.androidcentral.com/ve...ms-hacks/153931-ota-update-imm30b-4-04-a.html

Very interesting! I'm excited. Too bad he borked the update.

That or its a chop.
I haven't had enough otas to know if they start changing around the way information is displayed, but I doubt it. Note top right, it just shows build, not the Android version. Sorry, its in my nature to automatically doubt ota screenshots that conveniently never update.

I'm with ya on that! I'm seeing if I can get the guy to pull the update file and post it. Anyone know how to do this??

It will be under /cache. I've never had a Nexus before now to know what it will be named, but it will be ~29mb.
adb pull /cache/filename.whatever.
Should save to his/her computer.

The anticipation is killing me!!

Edit: Nevermind

There are more pics floating around showing this too. New radios and 4.0.4. No clue if real or not of course.

Pics and no leaks...
Makes one suspicious.

"i use andexplorer
i checked the cache folder and it was empty (screenshots attached). i ensured that hidden files are to be shown.
SD doesn't have a cache folder"
This is where we are at right now....

Tell him/her to use adb shell.
You cannot view cache from an explorer, unless its a root explorer.
adb shell ls /cache

SD card? Last I checked, Galaxy Nexus doesn't have an SD card.

No it doesn't. It has a virtual SD card.

I thought 4.0.3 wasnt released to the public ota, so how are people getting 4.0.4 ota updates?

Its a folder on the data partition. There is no sdcard.
cache is its own partition.

4.0.3 was a Nexus S release, not entirely meant for Galaxy Nexus.

Unsupported device?

I rooted my Nexus and no matter what rom I run (well, from the ones I've flashed) when I open Google wallet, I get a yellow banner at the top of the screen that's says "unsupported device. Learn more" my question is will Google wallet still work or is there a fix?
Sorry if this has been asked before. Thanks in advance

Yes it still works. Its because your rooted it says unsupported device. Some kind of "security" issue...

No problem still have 43$ its because since your rooted Google cant guarantee that your secure element is completely "safe" so they give you late yellow label.

OTA updates

I was sitting in my house near wifi when the last update was pushed. Do these updates only push via wifi? I don't want to be out one day and have it blow through my 4G data limit.
IIRC ota updates don't count against your data usage

Good to know, though I do not recalled being offered the choice going to 4.04.....
It'll download over any connection you have but you don't have to update when you get the notification.
Not sure why you're worried about your data cap from an OTA though lol. The download is tiny in comparison to your cap.

My theory is it will be available once they upload it to AOSP.
I don't know when the source will drop but a lot of little parts have already been pushed to source in expectation. The kernel is there as well I think... I'd expect source to drop late tomorrow.
Can't wait to flash the stock image.
Hoping to see it this month.
It will be out when it's out. Making dozens of treads won't make it appear any faster and just clutters the forums.

Hog wash, wasn't jellybean official with nexus 7 launch, then Sprint updates started within the first week or two of September, so that was what 2 months, honestly that's pretty Darn good timing.

An update that was a bugfix only, no software version.
In that regard, Verizon's version had an OTA the first day of launch.
:Launching with JB doesn't count as an update, LOL.
Yet, they both have been slow since. Nice try though.
Can't wait for the 4.2 update.
I think first the source codes will be uploaded to AOSP, and then the factory image will be pushed to google's website, and at the same time, the OTA will begin.

Meanwhile, Verizon will finish testing the 4.1.2 bug fix update for release by the end of November, and push out 4.2 by mid-January. I am really looking forward to my contract ending and the 2013 Nexus devices rolling out.

Ditto. Root is the only thing that makes the Toro/+ Nexus worth owning and being seen as "equal".

Google wallet and VZW galaxy nexus

If I copy Wallet.apk from my nexus 10 and load it into my VZW Gnex, what are the chances it'll 'just work'? I don't want to download something from someplace I don't know.

The build # JDQ39.M919UVUAMDL (updated from Kies software on PC)
The phone doesn't seem to get hot anymore is the only thing I can tell is different. It was hot as heck before update.:good:
I can't enter *#0288# any more so I can's see the temp but the temp was 47-51 doing nothing last night. The special *# codes don't work now but as long as it isn't hot don't care.

This is the update that was already on my phone when I got it. My phone was produced on 5/25. The update that allows to move apps to sd is not available for this phone yet. Other models got it the last month so hopefully we will get it soon. Or somebody will figure out how to switch internal for external that would be even better.
