Google wallet and VZW galaxy nexus - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

If I copy Wallet.apk from my nexus 10 and load it into my VZW Gnex, what are the chances it'll 'just work'? I don't want to download something from someplace I don't know.

I guess this is a boring question. I went ahead and loaded it up and got as far as linking a credit card. I chickened out at that point. If it WASN'T going to work would I have found out by that point? Anyone?

OTA Update IMM30B 4.04

Anyone know anything about this??

Very interesting! I'm excited. Too bad he borked the update.

That or its a chop.
I haven't had enough otas to know if they start changing around the way information is displayed, but I doubt it. Note top right, it just shows build, not the Android version. Sorry, its in my nature to automatically doubt ota screenshots that conveniently never update.

I'm with ya on that! I'm seeing if I can get the guy to pull the update file and post it. Anyone know how to do this??
It will be under /cache. I've never had a Nexus before now to know what it will be named, but it will be ~29mb.
adb pull /cache/filename.whatever.
Should save to his/her computer.
The anticipation is killing me!!
Edit: Nevermind

There are more pics floating around showing this too. New radios and 4.0.4. No clue if real or not of course.

"i use andexplorer
i checked the cache folder and it was empty (screenshots attached). i ensured that hidden files are to be shown.

This is where we are at right now....
Tell him/her to use adb shell.
You cannot view cache from an explorer, unless its a root explorer.
adb shell ls /cache
SD card? Last I checked, Galaxy Nexus doesn't have an SD card.

4.0.3 was a Nexus S release, not entirely meant for Galaxy Nexus.

Can not get NFC to work

I am running stock 4.2 on rogers in Canada. I have the latest wallet app with a prepaid card. I have done all the obvious things to get it working such as enable nfc, I am rooted, market enabler, open the apk, go to the prepaid card screen, go to pay and nothing happens. I have used all parts of the phone tapping. I was on a rom at one point and tried it and got it to say payment sending but with no success. Anyone have any ideas? I have searched the forum and there are other topics but nothing that solves my problem. Thx in advance.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
First question, are you using an extended battery or any battery other than stock that might not have the NFC stuff?
Second question, are you able to get your hands on another Gnex/some NFC tags? I would try testing it with one of those to see if its just google wallet acting up, assuming you're using an appropriate battery.
My phone is stock. No mods of any kind. Software or hardware. And no unless I go into a store maybe and use theirs.

Lost phone.

Just lost my phone in taxi I'm rooted also have face unlock and pattern unlock secondary. Is there anything I can do to assure the finder can't use it. Or can I track it. I'm on monthly 4g so no insurance!
That sucks man. As for gps locating your phone I believe that's offered by your insurance, or if you had any type of Norton, kaspersky, trend micro etc security on it. They offer stuff like that. Otherwise you might be SOL. As for them getting in I don't know. Maybe someone else can shed some light on that answer.

Go to the play store from your computer and download "plan b" it will be pushed to your phone and allows you to track it.

I hate how easy it is for someone to look up how to wipe a phone and easily bypass all security. Usually when someone finds a phone, that person doesn't want to know your stuff.
Where's my Droid can also be pushed, and then you can get it's location

did u ever set up Lookout on you phone? it comes w/it.. if you maybe randomly did one day, you can find it with that
2nd to the Plan B. That works amazingly. Also, check if you have a cab receipt. You might be able to use that to identify which cab specifically had the phone. You can call into their dispatch office and ask for that cab. Lookout is awesome too.
I called the cab said he saw no phone. Another passanger could have gotten it. I'm not even going to bother now what's done is done. Thanks to you and everyone for your help. I wanted a new phone anyway maybe my wife will get me one for fathers day. I'll wait and probably get a note or galaxy nexus I'm sticking with Samsung I have a windows and a iPhone at home but don't feel like it I can't go backwards .

I find that the GS3 is not much of a significant upgrade from the GSII. I would much more suggest a Galaxy Nexus since it will still be relevant for many more months to come. The GN comes with pure stock ICS not that TW crap. The GN is almost certain to receive jellybean directly from Google pretty quick while the S3 will have to suffer through what the SII just went through from GB to ICS

Should've went with nexus style all screen.that was kind of the point of ics

I would recommend setting up a pin lock on your next device, that way whenever the phone is restarted it prompts you for the pin. It doesn't matter if it's been wiped or not, it registers with your carrier. Also, as added security, I use Avast and from there I can remotely wipe my sd card and the phone, thus removing any chance of someone getting any of my personal info.

I totally agree don't know why these manufacturers still making new ics devices with buttons. Besides the nexus the only other device I see with on screen is a new Motorola phone coming out.

That is not Google Wallet.
It is for ISIS. The payment system shared by T-MO, ATT and Verizon.
Check it out: http://www.paywithisis.com/
yeah I already know. thanks though. I've been tracking Isis news for awhile now. in hopes that when it is launched that maybe T-Mobile will give Google the keys to allow Google wallet to run our devices too...I can dream can't I?

So many apps incompatible with 4.3... WTF.

Anyone have insight on when this may get resolved? Should I go back to 4.2.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
It will be resolved when app develops resolve it.
prshosting.org
Considering that the OS has been around for a bit over a week I'm amazed at how many apps ARE compatible.
If you have mission critical stuff, by all means go back to or stay with 4.2.x until the specific developer updates.
Otherwise enjoy the new OS and be patient. The good Devs are on it...
how many apps aren't compatible that you've encountered? surprisingly I haven't gotten any incompatibilities

Well worth it being without a few apps for awhile.
This is the price we pay for being the very first to get these updates. I don't mind it myself but for those that are bothered just wait for a free weeks before upgrading next time to give the app devs time to catch up.
Food anyone have the amazon store.apk? Not the app store but the app for the regular store. I think it will work but play store won't let me download.
