I have no idea how much a motherboard would cost - fire a price and if it makes sense for me, I'm interested as my headphone jack is gone and I can't find it on its own.
Nice little store
If you would like to replace your main board there is a store by my house that has every peice that you need to build a new one. I live in taiwan. The parts range from $1.00-10.00. So, if you are in need of a special part let me know, maybe I can help.
Hi Cobb,
That would be great - I'm really looking for a headphone jack port as mine's gone and I had to eliminate it as the Uni was under the impression I had headphones connected at all time.
If you can check the price of this out, it would be cool.
Tks.
Sure

It is around $1.00-2.00 US. Just to let you know I used the female headphone connection from my Walkman. I will try to post a complete price list for the universal.
The parts are really cheap here, but sending them is not. Does anyone have any ideas how I could send replacement parts, and keep the price reasonable.
Any part that you want to replace should be less than $5.00 with exception to the screen, and the external housing.
For those of you with a broken USB female jack. While replacing mine I noticed that USB's are pretty standard. There seems to be two common types, I used the one from a 4port usb hub. I not had any problems yet.
I hope this helps. The prices I listed are for a single piece.
I have a full unit, everything is fine except for a usb connector that is FUBAR, Looking to get rid of the entire unit so I can buy a new one, shoot me a PM if anyone would like to purchase it or are selling a working unit.

Thanks in advance, and congrats to all knowledged and not so knowledged ppl in this forum.

XDA IIi Replacement Backup Battery

Hi this is my first post,
I have been searching the internet for a replacement backup battery for my XDA IIi (HTC Alpine) but without success.
The original backup battery fitted is a Maxell ML2016 rechargeable coin cell with tags to solder it onto the circuit board. While the Maxell ML2016 is available with soldering tags, none of the tag configurations match my battery. I assume that Maxell manufactured a special battery especially for HTC.
My battery is similar to the Maxell ML2016 T17 but the solder tag configuration is not quite right.
Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement battery? Perhaps someone on this forum has a new one for sale?
Thanks in advance,
this is not the htc alpine section but the blueangel section. it seems, the batteries are not of the same type, so you should ask in the alpine section. they would know best.
OOPs Sorry!
I have now put it in the correct section (I think). I will try and delete it from the blueange section if I can work out how.
thanks
you can't, but a mod or admin can.

Try cnn.cn but i think you will find only the whole micro usb port and not the flex cable alone
I have tried 12 replacement parts from ebay for an i717 and they ALL have no service after putting them in. but the original one that doesn't charge still gets service fine...
edit: I can recommend http://www.parts4repair.com/. Worked like a charm

Yes, the AT&T version and the International version have different radios, and the micro USB port is connected to them. They are NOT interchangeable.

Any tips anyone?
Hi, I just want to revive this thread rather than start a new one.
I am gonna swap my my usb charging port for a one I bought on eBay. Does anyone have any tips I should know about that you can tell me?
I'm going by this youtube video. this is all I got and of course I'm kinda scared.:crying:
Thanks. Will check back later.
Easy to do, but will cause other issues
Hi. I too have just brought a note with this problem.
The replacement is easy, remove battery cover, battery sim etc. Take out the screws, use something thin to pries the edge off. Its the lip below the screen level though. After that, 3 more screws for the bottom section, then take out the one screw in the thin motherboard piece. Slide out the old flex, slide in the new one, re assemble.
The biggest problem is that youll most likely lose 80 % of your reception from it. When the phone is open, try to see if there is any corrosion behind your USB port, if there is clean it and try it. I did that as im sending my ebay one back for a replacement, Now my old one seems to be working, but for how long, i dont know.

I bought a battery charger and extra battery. I bought the brand Hyperion but I've heard there are better brands. Anyway, I don't charge my phone any more... I just swap batteries now. One is always on the charger and one in the phone. It works fantastically and further, the phone always has a charge. When I want to swap files I remove the card and put it in the PC. Works really good.
If you are on about the daughter board I got one of Amazon for£10 took less than 10 mins to fit and have had no problems. Came In OEM packaging
Any questions feel free to PM

It's 10 black screws on the back & 5 white to take there cover of over the daughter board. No need to undo a mother board screw whats this about losing 80%signal?
That's rubbish, Sir! Mine is on5 bars H+ and has been sincei did it. As there is a new mix. Too the sound is better, IMO
Sent from BOX13.
Bought mine off ebay worked 100%, signal is still the same, nothing happens to signal. But you have to buy the whole board. Mine didnt come with a wee microphone bit so i took off my old one, stuck the sticky bit within the square part and put the rubber part in the cover and screwed it on. Everything working fine.

My usb port is busted so am replacing that board too. However, I've bought two off ebay and both have had problems. First one fixed the charging issue but didn't give me any reception (well one bar now and then) and the second gave me signal but had a busted micro usb port. EBay can be so fustrating sometimes!!

I have just fitted my 3rd replacement board and loose most of my signal after fitting it. My original board gives me full signal but intermittent charging. :crying:
Do all N7000 use the same board or does country intended for make a difference? My note is an International phone made for Hong Kong.

To be honest I still haven't got a perfect replacement yet but one that is at least functional (get werid noises during phone calls - not on my end but on whoever is calling me).
You do have to make sure you get the correct board though. If you look on the original board it should have some writing in gold near the top. Mine said Rev 1.0 so I got replacements which were rev 1.0 too. Apparently there are other revisions (although I didn't come across any others).

mine is a version 1.00 see attached my original is on the top one of the replacements below
I did my replacement yesterday.
Got the part from this seller:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190821533955?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
And then followed this link on how to do it, took me 2 attempts as the 1st time I hadn't pushed one of the ribbon cables down and had no service. After pushing it in and putting it all back together it works again

Ordered one from parts4repair, we'll see how that one works. The one I have now, works, but the signal level sucks.

[Q] Confused with wireless charging (N7100 Int)

OK, I understand the theory of high freq air transformers.
I also understand the price for the device is high and people do their own devices el chipo etc...
What I cannot understand why all those devices on eBay sold with a special back cover?
Doesn't the international N7100 support Wireless Charging from the box?
I looked inside the back cover of my Vietnam-made, Philippines-sold device. There are two pins on the cover directly touching another two pins near the battery compartment. The resistance between those two pins is small but above zero. And there is some kind of tick label inside of the back cover covering most of the space. Is it a kind of receiver coil?
How can I verify I need just the charger plate or another back cover too?
Thanks.

So those on-battery antennas like
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Qi-Standard...ories_MobilePhoneChargers&hash=item4170166bb8
is as addition to the Note 2?
Interesting how two antennas don't interfere with each other.
I need not NFC actually...
yes its a user made addition because Samsung is yet to announce a stock back cover with NFC and wireless charging...

Yeah, Toyota-style innovations.
Release something and let the buyers become your testers. At very maximum we can revoke and make free repairs (upgrades).
Hope not everyone be so smart to actually require free repair (upgrade).
