[Q] Running Marcusant Revival V3 and still can't figure out GPS fix - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I followed the instructions below that I got from searching marcusant revival thread (I'm noob and yes I did look this up before posting haha). However after I long press properties I get the screen that is pictured at the bottom left of this post. Root and Mount are checked in the settings however I'm not seeing any option to "modify the permissions". I love the Red theme and ROM i just need the GPS to work please help! [NOTE: I have also tried flashing GPSFix.zip but to no avail]

[BOOTANIMATION] Cool Samsung Boot and alternative sound

Hi there,
I created a bootanimation for myself, specially for the Galaxy SII, and I'd like to share it with you. I mixed some Samsung Boot Logos and created something "magic".
Preview: (The last part when the S glows is looped)

or without logo
What you need:
-Rooted SGS2
-Bootanimation compatible Kernel
How to:
1.Copy bootanimation_janis605_flashable.zip to sd card. (or bootanimation_nologo_janis605_flashable.zip)
2.Flash it using Recovery (CWM).
Tested to work with "CF-Root v4"
Have Fun!
How to uninstall:
1. Open Root Explorer
2. Navigate to /system/media
3. Delete bootanimation.zip
4. At next reboot the original S-Samsung Logo will be back.
Delete older animations saved in /data/local/ if needed.

Sorry for being a noob, I understand that I have to install the bootanimation into the folder. Can I simply rename the zip file for D/L here as odeananimation.zip or will it be made of fail? Can you be a bit more precise about how to install this boot anim? thank you very much

If you have a file named "sanim.zip" in system/media, them you can try moving bootanimation.zip there. If you don't see the bootanimation on reboot, then you're not running a bootanimation compatible kernel. There's a few of them in the development section. I will be posting flashable zips for stock and custom kernels later this week. I'm going to be swamped for a few days.
Posted different link.

Try with root explorer...
i think it has something to do with not enough space error on my phone despite there being heaps.. will try and wipe a bit and see if that works but cheers for the heads up on root explorer it actually gave me a proper error.

when you push any app to system partition,a reboot it necessary for it to show up in the app drawer.

Where can i download this?
Verstuurd van mijn HTC Wildfire met Tapatalk
You can download from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2088422
You have to copy it to system/app and change permission. For this, you need Root explorer ( paid ) or solid explorer ( trial ) or root browser lite ( free ).....
After moving, you have to mount it as r/w
Then, hold on to samsung taskmanager > permissions > set them like this
This only works with cyanogen roms, not with sense roms.

UPDATE : APM + Recentapps2menu

Updated to Match Tonyskyfall's V4 !
I have been Using Tonyskyfall's Ignorance V3 Rom for a week but I missed Having reboot to recovery in the power menu so
I Found Jotha's Amazing APM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27145164&postcount=1
but flasing that ment loosing cpkv5's
SPrecentapps2menu tweak : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34120233&postcount=1596
so i decompiled android.policy.jar from both of them and combined them both to make Advanced Power menu + Recentapps2menu tweak
i made this for my personal use and thought some one else might find it useful
all thanks to Jotha and cpkv5
