any reccomendations for batteries for the Verizon Nexus?
For that price, its worth the risk. For $30, you can get 2 Hyperion 1900mAh batteries and an external charger

the info is falsely advertised, i515 and i9250 are not the same.

Came across this on eBay, two extra batteries plus a standalone battery charger for about $13 shipped. Coming from Hong Kong, but I can wait for that price. There's another similar auction for 2 batteries and a charger for $63, not sure why this one is so much cheaper but I'll try it.

2x BATTERY+dock CHARGER FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY S Vibrant
This was what I bought as well, about a week ago? Hasn't shown up yet so I couldn't tell you how they work.... but I'll let you know!
Thanks for letting us know about this!
i wouldn't trust those generic batteries...
Please update when you received them. At that price they would be great as backup batteries.

Bad quality or because it could damage the phone?
just ordered one as well. For $13, they're worth the try.

Both. $13 doesn't seem reasonable for one battery let alone 2. The cradle in that picture doesn't even look like it's for those batteries (charging pins appear to be on the top?)
Just my 2 cents. I have 2 original batteries

What is the battery number for our OEM's so we can buy another, but not at an insanely marked up T-Mobile or Samsung retail price?
I ordered similar cheap batteries for my hd2 from the same seller. believe or.not, they lasted about the same amount of hours.v. stock battery

Since someone else vouched for the seller and he has a good rating, I went ahead and bought them also. What the hell its only 14 bucks anyways. My phone wont be here until monday anyways so Im in no hurry for the batteries.
this looks cool and not a bad price. although i'm assuming people have been buyin it cuz the price is now 15.99 and not the 13 originally mentioned lol oh well. still good price. is there a way 2 get a oem samsung battery from tmo?

Cheap price and i have bought a handful of things from Hong Kong but those battery's are 1440 mAH, and the Vibrant battery is 1500mAH. I have no idea if the 1500 is the min requirement or not or if it means it just wont last as long. Just pointing it out.
just got mine in. The batteries are actual Samsung batteries, G7 which I think is the international version of the batteries. They are the 1500 mAh batteries and the charger has a USB pass through. Charging the batteries now, we'll see how they last.

I am wondering if anyone knows where to buy authentic samsung accessories. I have gotten 3 batteries off ebay and they did not live up o expectations and measured only 1000 - 1200 mAh.
To be safe this time, I'd like to purchase the official accessory with the weird dock / stand thing. Does anyone know which other online store might have it for cheap? I have checked on Amazon, but the only stores that list it are 3rd party ones such as accessory one, and they have pretty bad reviews.
FYI, pics of the battery I got off ebay and why they suck. First the "Official" G7 batteries all had the same serial (go figure). Then 2 of them were wrapped around another black wrapper. 2 of them had a black plastic spacer to fill in space where the battery should. 1 even have cardboard cutouts to fill in more space.
Oh man, what a ripoff. I have 2 non official batteries and Im actually more impressed with those than my real battery. Holds a much longer charge. Sorry about your bad luck.
Go to samsung.com and buy the battery that comes with external charger. $50 is so worth it, i might buy that instead of 3000mah which is not guaranteed safe to our phones.

I didn't said that, i said "not guaranteed safe". So it may have a chance that it may damage our phone because of overheating or something else. But so far no one has experienced it, but still i won't take the chance.

it fluctuates between 10 and 15 bucks
...wasnt that hard to find...i dont know about the charger though
i got this
http://www.amazon.com/Laza-Battery-..._1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1298656716&sr=1-1
it works perfectly and i never use a cable to charge my phone...i just switch out batteries...the batteries seem to hold an equal charge to the OEM one...and they are stylish
Just wondering about the OEM batteries listed. I was asking if any particular reseller is reputable? Since they aren't sold directly by Amazon.
Are the Laza batteries good? The charger looks a lot like the Chinese ebay ones, so I was a bit suspicious.

Mobilecityonline has the Samsung charger/stand and spare battery for $29.99 - quite a deal. I have one of these kits and I am very happy with it.

So after ordering two 1900mah spare batteries from ebay I found out that the antenna for the NFC chip is located in the battery. The replacement batteries I ordered do not have the antenna, neither do any of the other batteries I've seen. So I went to the source Samsung.com and they aren't available for the GSM version only the Verizon version batteries were being sold. So where do I find a GSM extended battery? Or any battery with the NFC antenna inside? As for the batteries I ordered? I guess they'd be fine in a jam but to lose features like beam & NFC is unacceptable for the long haul. All feedback is much appreciated.

A seller named shimshop on eBay is selling 2000mah extended batteries that are genuine Samsung, with NFC. There are many threads mentioning this. I bought one as well.

here's the link,
http://www.ebay.com/itm/12083246205...NX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_4968wt_905
ships from South Korea so it might take 1-2 weeks for arrival
Something to consider is switching over to external USB batteries. Not only are internal batteries phone-specific (and obviously have NFC issues with the Galaxy Nexus), but there is an increasing trend towards using polymer batteries that are able to fit in unusual shapes but are not user-replaceable (easily). I've got a pair of APC UPB10s. They work with all four phones my wife and I carry, as well as my Bluetooth headset, a host of other devices, and I've got an adapter that lets me use it on my infant daughter's bouncer and swing. I can also carry it in my pocket without a cover (or fear my keys will short it out), I charge it via a mini-USB port (micro would be better, but I don't need a battery charger), and it has a 10,000mAH capacity compared to a spare battery running on the order of 2000mAH. The only downside is that if I'm out of juice I become tethered to it until I can recharge, but a little pre-planning lets me charge in my pocket and it still beats needing to power off my phone just to swap a battery.
Just something to think about instead of dropping more money on batteries you'll end up throwing away when you upgrade your phone.
I actually have three oem samsung batteries, 2 standard and 1 extended, and 1 third party brand at 1450mAh, i've also ordered, but not yet received yet a powerocks 7800mAh external battery.
i wont even need to change out the extended battery, or even use the external, so I dont know why i have all these.
Hi, I was wondering, will a Samsung Galaxy S2 Battery Charger + Stand work with the Galaxy Nexus Battery? Specifically the 1750mAh GSM HSPA+ Version
The Battery Charger + Stand is something like this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BATTERY-CHA...G-GALAXY-S2-I9100-/110728895045#ht_7038wt_905
I'm fairly sure it won't fit as the phones have different size batteries, but I may be wrong!
You could always just buy the one for the nexus from shimshop on eBay!

i dont think so either th s2 battery is smaller if im not mistaken
the model for the gnex is Samsung EBH-1F2S
and the model for the s2 is Samsung EBH-1A2US

Yes, I know about that, it's just, in China, the S2 charger is way cheaper, so I was wondering if I can buy the cheaper one.
I guess not, so I'll just buy the Galaxy Nexus Charger, thx guys =)
One thing I don't get...why Samsung did not make that cradle in a way one can charge a phone too?! This way it's just an external battery charger with a place to rest your Nexus, right?
if you dont really care about being able to dock your phone get this charger instead, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-B...ccessories&hash=item4601b008bb#ht_5315wt_1163
it can charge most mobile batteries so no need to buy different one when you get the S3 or next Nexus.

I need another battery for my Nexus... Looked at EBAY and there are a lot of generic batteries there. Is it safe to use those? I am scared it can explode and kill my device (or me).
I know Anker batteries but I would like to know more about the generics..
