Hi, I was wondering, will a Samsung Galaxy S2 Battery Charger + Stand work with the Galaxy Nexus Battery? Specifically the 1750mAh GSM HSPA+ Version
The Battery Charger + Stand is something like this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BATTERY-CHA...G-GALAXY-S2-I9100-/110728895045#ht_7038wt_905
I'm fairly sure it won't fit as the phones have different size batteries, but I may be wrong!
You could always just buy the one for the nexus from shimshop on eBay!

i dont think so either th s2 battery is smaller if im not mistaken
the model for the gnex is Samsung EBH-1F2S
and the model for the s2 is Samsung EBH-1A2US
Why not just get the one for the i9250?

Yes, I know about that, it's just, in China, the S2 charger is way cheaper, so I was wondering if I can buy the cheaper one.
I guess not, so I'll just buy the Galaxy Nexus Charger, thx guys =)
One thing I don't get...why Samsung did not make that cradle in a way one can charge a phone too?! This way it's just an external battery charger with a place to rest your Nexus, right?
if you dont really care about being able to dock your phone get this charger instead, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-B...ccessories&hash=item4601b008bb#ht_5315wt_1163
it can charge most mobile batteries so no need to buy different one when you get the S3 or next Nexus.

Does anyone know where I can get a desktop charger that charges my Nexus and a spare battery (which I am also looking for).
I had this one for the HTC Desire which was quite good.
spare battery charger here http://shop.htcpedia.com/samsung-galaxy-nexus-battery-charger.html
that linked charger has pictures that state its for the galaxy S and Nexus S, which use a different battery than the galaxy nexus (nexus = 3 gold contacts, GSII and Nexus S = 4 contacts)
I've found only this kidigi.com /product_lv2.php?pid=1347 I know it's for galaxy note but both use microusb for charging.

only thing with that is it only charges phone
the main thing I would want is something to charge a battery seperatley so I can charge a spare battery whenever they become available
dont really see the benefit in a charging dock just for my phone

I believe you need to order the battery separately (they sell batteries too). It would be wayyy too cheap otherwise :S
check out these docks that work for our phones
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0073H4N60/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&m=A19R3BN6ZSO9A1
and

personally i dont see how the spare battery slot in this one can accommodate BOTH the GSM and LTE version since they are difference size batteries....im guessing it probably just works with GSM batteries, but who knows
first one looks like a for sure win since it looks like there is nothing that would make it not work with a case...anyone ever tried either of these?
I was under the impression that the batteries were just different thicknesses. If that is true, they should still both fit in the charging station.
I just bought the one with the spare battery charger as I have an extended battery on the way and no way to currently charge the back up battery besides a swap, I have the i9250, but as the previous poster said, the thickness shouldnt matter, both batteries are the same sized square, and thats all that matters
I'd definitely be interested in hear how you like the second dock...

I just order the first one i hope my phone fit in it since i have a case on mine, no need for the extended battery charger since i dont have one
www (DOT) ign (DOT) com/articles/2011/12/15/hands-on-with-the-verizon-samsung-galaxy-nexus
Didn't know I can't post outside links. Just replace the (DOT) with "." and it will show you a side-by-side comparison of the CDMA and GSM batteries.
The GSM isn't just slimmer than the CDMA but is taller too so I don't see how the extended charger slot could charge both.
Whoever has purchased it, please update on which battery it fits, thanks!
I ordered both so I'll let you guys know the results when I get em

The battery charger wont work for the Verizon model since the GSM have a differently sized battery...
I like the idea, but I would rather have a dock that takes advantage of the contact points on the side of the phone... I know that the GSM version has a car dock that uses that, but currently in the states we only have the crappy dock without the contact points. Seems like if the phone has it, accessories should be made to take advantage of it.
docks came in, both work with LTE galaxy nexus as long as you dont use a case (which sucks)
and yea just like i said originally, the LTE battery doesnt fit in the slot for the one with the standalone battery charger in it

yeah i got mine today also im sad it didnt work while the phone in the case
Which one do you prefer? The one with the clear plastic backing or the black one? Which supports the phone better, and is there an easy way to access the headphone jack on either?? Thanks!
Guys, has anyone tried the *first* dock on a GSM Nexus with a case on? I have a Samsung Genuine case (adds virtually no bulk)
Cheers.
Anyone have any good recommendations on a secondary battery charger? I have the extended battery in my Nexus just about all the time, but I've been noticing its time to start carrying around a spare battery with me.
If possible I'd love it to be cheap, maybe sub $15, and any little add in features like built in phone charger or cradle would be excellent too. If possible, I don't want something so cheaply made that it may blow up my house
I saw the official Samsung charger, but $25 seems kind of steep for just a battery charger. I may just go for it in the end, but I'd assume you guys know a lot about whats out there.
Just charge both battery's in the phone while at home, one at a time and simply carry it around after? Saves you $

Theres a simple battery charger for like 4 dollars on obostore
Wow, thanks for the obostore recommendation.
FYI: That $4 charger is only for the i9250 (GSM) Galaxy Nexus.
Also, curse you all for not linking to it and making me take 20 seconds to find it .
Link for the lazy.
You can get a pair of extended batteries and a standalone charger on eBay for about $22.
There are some docks on ebay and amazon (if you are looking to spend a little extra $) that would charge up your phone and have a spot for an extra battery to charge up at the same time.
Edit: On a completely unrelated note this site is awesome and these things are so cheap!

I have the Mili Candy, great for a quick charge. On their website is a bunch of others that will give you a longer charge.

I have seen cheaper ones then the mili but I can't recommend any as I don't use them.

I have one of these from Amazon and works great with AA or 9 volt batteries. LINK
AA batteries should be available or you can just buy rechargeable ones (thats what I do)
Edit: This device doesnt recharge your rechargeable batteries, you would have to take along a charger for those as well which might be too cumbersome for you. Either way, just another option.
Then when you get home you can use it as a regular charger.
Have a safe trip!
Hello,
I really need help here, for a few months already I'm using other people's chargers, because I don't know which is a reliable charger, I tried to purchase from eBay a "genuine" S3 charger, but ofcourse.. it wasn't and I don't seem to find nearby Samsung stores..
So maybe can you tell me about good branded reliable charger for my s3 , preferably with EU plug? A charger that won't explode or catch fire or burn my phone or something like that
Thanks all!
Samsung's website would be a good start.

Thanks, but the Samsung website for my country doesn't sell anything, and I'd prefer a different charger because mine died after a few months of use , and I know 2 more people who have this phone for like 3 months and their chargers stopped working too.
Now we need to ask what country you're in so we can give better information.

This is the first time I am hearing this about the original Samsung Galaxy Chargers, though there were few cases where people used to keep the phone on charging over night and eventually the charger blows up or the battery or the charger socket on the device. If you just could tell the country that you live in, it may help to assist you.. :fingers-crossed:

My s3 charger cable is knackered, my sons xperia z cable and charger are excellent.

I don't udnerstand
yeah you're better off buying aftermarket but good quality charger. ive used aftermarket on our galaxy tab2 without issues. Seems to charge at same speed as a oem charger
BTW is it the charger thats bad or the usb cable? My wife's usb took a dump a couple of months since purchased new. She now has Mediabridge hi-speed cable, I personally like it way better than oem, its longer without loosing charging speed and seems better build
