So ive been looking on forums all day to figure out what rom i'm going to use once i'm rooted. I really can decide. Can I get some input on what's good...?

I'm familiar to faux's kernels so I know what im using for that....just don't know which rom

I would recommend juggernaut 4.1 I've been running for a week now with no problems. Plus their are some nice themes available for it.

Juggernaut all the way.. I've tried them all, and I keep going back. And like the other guy said, the themes are killer. Combined with the new darkside kernel, I don't think there's any better.

Juggernaut seems decent to me. I have been running it for about a week now. This is the only rom I have tried other then the stock one.
I havent tried jaggurnut so idk but, beastmod n phanton are good n good stability....that new one dark something has a lot bugs

My vote is for zombie just for the fact you receive and send mms over wifi calling.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA App
As far as options on a theme, I found that Juggernaut seems to have the most rom options and controls. If you need to use wifi calling, android zombie seems to work pretty well with it from what Ive read over. Ive also tried beastmod and Ive gotten great battery life with it. Im fairly new to flashing roms so Ive only tried these three and havent had any issues with them.
What about Tuesday?
Hey... what about "Tuesday" rom? I ran the beta... been running Tuesday Early Afternoon for 4 days now. It's a real clean & stable rom... themed nice... and has working XLoud and Bravia! Only issue I had was fc on DSP Manager which was a quick fix. Everything works and I get 18-26hrs battery w moderate use (5-9hrs wi-fi, 1-2 hours phone use, 10-15 texts, 2-4hrs on XDA amd whatever other **** I do). I ran Juggernaut for a week or so. Nice rom as well... Tuesday just fits better.
Just my thoughts. Good luck!

Me too, I would recommend that too. I think the most important to a ROM is all functional and having a long life of battery.
BeastMod 4.2. As long as you don't need WiFi calling.

Are there any stable e4gt roms that are better than stock ek02 with everything working cuz battery life is a poor trade off for working features in my opinion. Example if wimax is not working or tether to get more battery life whats the point

I am also not sure how to approach this. There are only a few roms that don't support wimax.. I suggest calkulins. It's my go to rom. I've heard starburst is pretty good too.. But in the future, please try to read a bit. maybe look at the roms that have a lot of view and/or comments. The OP of each thread will tell you just about everything you need to know.
IMO, there is no more stable custom ROM right now then UnNamed. If I wasn't so flash happy, I would stay with that but I'm changing ROMs every 2-3 days now...
But anyway, yeah UnNamed is the best ROM as far as stability is concerned.
Oh and I got over a day of moderate use from it. Don't believe me though, try it out!

+1 for Calkulin's roms. Good battery life, stable, so far I have not encountered any issues.
I've been extremely pleased with Calkulin's ROM. I have tried unnamed (which I also like) but I prefer the 5 icon dock and 5x5 app drawer and undervolt/underclock scripts in Calkulin's.

MJHawaii is right.. UnNamed is a hell of a rom especially with a few tweaks added in. I am quite sure you will not find anyone unhappy with it. Also like mentioned before there is a whole development section of great roms. Just make sure when you try them all you do not restore data and flash all of them cleanly and not on top of each other.
For battery life on this phone may I recommend 200-800 since your phone can clearly handle it...
no offence, but either dont flash and stay on stock or there is always the good ol flip phones!

Got to agree with the previous poster that suggested you just stay on stock. I'd prefer not having to see posts/threads like this in the future....
For the record however, I've been happy with Calk's, Unnamed AND for quite a bit of time now (a whole month or so!) Blend is my current Daily and it is brilliant.
But you.... you stay on stock....

blazer is my daily driver.
i have not tried a single rom that has just flat out been unstable or unusable though; i steer clear of early/experimental builds, bust most of the roms in the dev section for this phone are pretty complete and comprehensive.
this is my first android device and initially i had trouble just rooting the thing, but thanks to xda's dev section my first flash was a piece of cake and i've had no issues or major complaints in 3 months of jumping rom to rom.
Just an observation. But your avatar shows you have at&t, shouldn't you be in a different section? This forum is for the Samsung epic 4g touch. Maybe thats why the roms aren't working. Unless you just havent updated your profile. (Im guilty of that as well)
I've went through many ROMs with my device, and I'm curious, what ROM and You currently running, and why? Looking forward to your response!
Also, if you can provide a link to the thread of the ROM that would be awesome, thanks!

Awesome, thanks for the reply! Just wondering, can you define 'heavy'? I personally use my phone at school all the time, I listen to music through headphones about 1/2 of my total day(4 hours or so) and I will also spend a lot of time texting, browsing the web, and using apps that use data. I'm honestly constantly on my phone, and will have to charge it around 3 times per day.

Right now I'm on miui trying it out for the first time getting used to no app drawer. Favorite ROM for a daily (if I had one lols) would have to be Living Rejects. I flash it at least twice a week. Its pretty much my goto when I need a good solid dependable ROM for GPS and coverage while traveling. The battery life is effin amazing and music come out really loud and clear. But I will say once our beloved devs get cm10/AOKP/PA etc running solid for jb I will prolly be going back to PA or try out KK again. I love the UK customization options. I ran ICS aokp as a daily until jb started seeping its way into my veins now I'm flashing like there's no tomorrow can't wait for volume bug fix ^^

I still use the calkulin v3.0 custom gingerbread rom because it has been the most stable, fastest, and longest lasting, battery life-wise. I recently tried the one-click fk23 jellybean but ran into some problems so I flashed back to calkulin...Gonna try the fk23 again tomorrow though. ;p
Hi there. As the title suggests, this is a question to those members who've tried a bunch of different ROMs. Can you please suggest the most stable one out of the ones that you've had a chance to try out, one with the least amount of bugs. Please don't go around posting annoying comments like "why don't you try a bunch of ROMs yourself". If I had time to try different ROMs, I wouldn't be typing this right now. I really need a stable ROM, and any suggestion is appreciated. I am currently using Jedi Knight 4, and it keep messing up my data connectivity every 15-30 minutes. It would go on an off non-stop every 3 seconds, and it would only stop if I turned the Airplane mode on and then off. It's really annoying, and I really need something stable, since the next few weeks are going to be incredibly busy for me, and I will need to rely on my phone a lot. I don't care whether it's ICS or JB, as long as it's stable and functional enough. Good battery life would be a huge plus, though not absolutely necessary, anything within decent range would suffice. Thank you in advance.
Have you tried to flash another radio?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
I have not, but that's not my only problem with the ROM, just the most annoying one. I still need something different. Plus I don't really think that the radio had anything to do with it. It only started happening after I flashed the ROM, and that ROM wasn't too different from the rooted 4.0.4 update that I was using prior to that, and I never had problems with my connectivity with that one. Either way, maybe I'm wrong, but in that case, might you suggest a good radio?

I'll just add...no bugs that concern me at all. others may say this or that isn't perfect....like no wifi calling. bit I've used every jb rom lately....all are pretty good. liking paranoid android for its certain customization features...like dpi changing...even particular apps....plus finding its battery life just great!
I suggest to flash again the same radio that you have.
When I flashed All-dev AOKP version, my wireless got messed up in the same way as you are experiencing. Also sequential roms flashed after I noticed this issue did not fix the problem.
There is nothing to lose if you flash the same radio. Maybe only 1 minute of your time.
After I did this, I no longer experienced issues with my wifi connection.
I've tried many roms but i always go back to juggernaut its just stable and smooth its the daily driver for me. I wish team Kang will ever go back and edit that rom and add new themes and good update.<-------------- this is the answer untill they ever come up with a good stable release of jb roms they look cool and much more choices but a headache.

Of ones you listed I like AOKP best. Its just clean. IT feels polished.... Deff a possible daily driver if you don't mind bluetooth problems (which might be fixed by now anyway) point is its a good rom. However the one you didn't list in my title is JELLYBAM
Which I use and love. Its not as polished its a mix of 3 sorces... but its dam good.... plus best bat life I have got from a rom Unless you want one thats stripped down (then you can get more bat life) but I like to use my S3 and I enjoy hell out of it... anyway k
Try jellybam.... if its to not the norm for you just go with AOKP or Im sure cm10 be fine too... I never tried them though..
Later bro. There all good in there own way. Try a few its as simple as a back up lol
I've also tried Jellybam for a few days and battery life has surpassed the other roms I've tried (Tasks' AOKP and Liquidsmooth which I've used for about a month each). I mostly use my phone for web browsing, sms, and skype. I do not call much. I was pretty shocked that I was still at 60% after a day (used about 2 hours of screen time). I've also used ktoonsez kernel with the same settings for each rom.

I think tasks Rom is the most supported but I don't use Bluetooth but if you do search the thread about people who do you might find a good Rom. I love aokp and tasks been my daily driver with updates always for about two months I can't go back to touch wiz I tried. Task and I use ktoonz kernel. Only way to find out how it's going to work for you is to hit the Dev section, Read the OP.. Check last couple pages in that thread.. (It'll give you an idea typically how it's running for others) EVERY phone is different and how we all use them is as well. So Battery life and things are going to be hit and miss depending on user. Just take a couple for a test drive.. if you don't like.. Flash again till you find a home.
All the Touchwiz ROMS are great but I always comeback for MOAR.
