What recovery and which version of it?
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App

I had about the same problem. It was fixed by flashing to stock 1.34 by using hboot. After this I was able to install any ROM I like.

If your migrating from a differnt hboot and flashed a new one your phone will stay in the htc logo screen after the flash..just go the the pc and enter adb rebooot recovery and thier ull be redirected to the recovery

What rom are you using? Did you take the details before attempting to root?
You may need to flash an RUU as it sounds like something has gone wrong while rooting.
The more details the better, carrier/branded etc....

Do you have your rom version eg. 2.29.405......?
Does it have any provider branding/apps in the software?

my phone was unbranded, but my problem is not the rom, it is that my phone can't reboot from fastboot
I'm aware of that, but unless you are S-OFF, there is no way to flash a recovery image apart from using unrevoked as far as I know.
Personally, I would look at running the WWE RUU although this would wipe your phone (not sdcard though).
Your call I suppose. There maybe someone else around with other ideas.....

Cwm will not work!!!!

Okay trying to install rom, and temporary cwm would not work! (Installation failed) tried downgrading cwm to 2.5 and ****ed it up!!!! Have tried many things and searched. Will I have to flash ruu and start from scratch or anyone else got any ideas.

Try flashing another recovery, you can find recovery images in the reference guide in development section.
P.S. I guess you were trying to flash a sense rom, in that case you can go to rom manager and scroll all the way down to "All cwm recoveries" And select a 2.x one and flash it, then you can flash a sense rom with the temporary recovery
The way I broke it was by flashing another recovery! Via fastboot USB.. Which showed as it worked ... I have tried the image way, no luck.. have also tried rom manager to flash both old and new recoveries, yet again successfully but recovery still goes no further than HTC screen ... ;( it was a sense rom! Worst thing is I'm stuck with the sense 3.5 that doesn't even frigging work! Eeeeek

Really sorry to hear about your problem, this is why its almost always stated to do a NANDROID before attempting anything.
Look up flashing recovery with terminal emulator and try that way.cheers.

Stuck on boot (CDMA)

Virgin Mobile HTC One V (CDMA/primoc)
2.3.3 twrp recovery working fine
Unlocked with HTC dev
***unlocked*** (in boot loader)
Flashed su then gapps 4.1 then Pacman ROM
Error can't format SD ext (don't think this is a problem but hey just in case)
When the phone reboots it stays at the boot animation for the ROM. I've tried a couple other ROMs to no avail. I also left it with the boot animation over night just to make sure it wasn't just taking a long time. I have also been searching the internet for a RUU to at least get the phone working again. I've also been reading the xda forums and I think it might have something to do with my radios (like version 1.0.0...) I'm not totally inexperienced in android rooting (I'm currently using my HTC Evo V 3d s-off rooted with Gangamstlye ROM) but any help would be much appreciated!
I am able to access twrp recovery and can use adb with fastboot still - only my one v won't get past the boot animation

If it's a new phone you will most likely need to run the RUU but you should go in this order when flashing a ROM.
Extract the kernel from the rom
Boot into recovery
FULL WIPE
Flash ROM
Boot into bootloader
Flash boot.img through fastboot ( fastboot flash boot boot.img )
Install 4.1.2 Gapps
I have tried reflashing in that order and it still didn't work :/ Do you know where I could get a RUU?

[Q] Stuck in clockwork recovery

My HTC Onc V wont go past the bootscreen, I tried flashing a new kernel which screwed everything up originally and now the phone wont show in adb but i can get into clockwork recovery. How do i make this phone work again/restore to stock
Dont worry.if you have made a nandroid backup, flash the kernel found inside it and then restore the backup.
R: [Q] Stuck in clockwork recovery
You probably have the radio problem and need to downgrade, there's a guide on how to do it. Anyway I'm not sure, it's just a suggestion

You are talking about a Desire, this is for Desire HD and not the Bravo model. Have you checked that?

And your bootloader is unlocked? Also, you're flashing the ROM zip from recovery first, then flashing the boot.img from fastboot, right?
Yeah bootloader is unlocked, and I might have done it the other way round I'll try that.

In that case I would suggest that you flash a RUU and see if that works. You will need to relock the bootloader for that.
Well going to give it another shot before I do your suggestion on the RUU, I'll let you no how it goes

When switching ROMs it is pretty much always necessary to clear the /data partition before booting the new ROM. I didn't see you mention that you'd done this anywhere (sorry if I missed it).
