[Q] Please help, phone will only boot to Odin mode, no recovery - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi everyone,
Today I was flashing a kernel and my phone entered a boot loop at the Google screen. I tried to reboot into recovery to restore my nandroid backup, but the phone was stuck on the "Downloading" screen and the usual volume button options wouldn't work.
As I was still stuck in a bootloop I feared that I had bricked my phone, but after a couple hours I managed to get it to boot again by restoring a stock image using Odin.
So now my phone boots, but Odin/"Downloading" screen remains my only option when trying to access recovery. Please help!!

Are you sure you're booting the phone while pressing the volume up/down buttons at the same time. You can also try using adb to reboot into recovery

[Q] Help! I think my phone is bricked and unrooted!

Hello.
I had rooted my phone and installed cyanogenmod 10. I did not like it and unrooted by deleting the su binary in the ES File Explorer App. However, I was stuck in the cyanogenmod 10. So, I tried using odin and flashing the stock rom back to my device and now it goes through the bootup animation but then stops after the ATT logo shows up and there is a flashing samsung logo. Help! I just want an unrooted device back to the stock rom!!! thanks!!!!!!
Boot in to recovery and do the factory reset. Vol up+home+power to get to recovery.
Battery pull. Get back into recovery by holding volume up - power - home. Do a wipe data/factory reset then reboot. Works every time.
In case no one had mentioned it, i would go with doing a factory reset from recovery
Probly a factory reset would work.....

[Q] Recovery doesn't open and system boot stuck in bootlogo

okay so when i power up my phone the system freezes at the modified boot logo. Normally this wouldnt be a problem because i could just flash a new rom from recovery and start it back up. But, i used odin to update clockwork. the phone wasn't able to reboot all of the way and got stuck in that loop, i think it messed up CWM somehow. Whenever i try to get into recovery the blue letters at the top left of the screen come on and then it just goes blank.
is there any way that i can get my phone back to normal using odin?
any suggestions?
Flash the firmware. Odin primary purpose.

[Q] Can't boot into recovery but can boot normally-xperia S

Hello there, I'm a bit new to this, but I wanted to try flashing a custom rom. I was using So I chose Carbonn 4.4.4 rom. Prior to that I installed doomslord CMW recovery 6.0.30 and did a backup of my Rom. Then I booted into recovery, wiped the data and flashed the carbonn Rom. Everything went fine, then I realized I hadn't flashed the gapps. So I rebooted my phone into recovery (Pressing the volume up button at the 'sony' logo). However it doesn't boot into recovery. The led light turns blue and it's stuck on the Sony logo. The only way to get out of it is the power down the device manually by pressing the power button and volume up button.
Rebooting into recovery only causes this problem. Otherwise it boots normally into the carbon Rom. How do I restore my backup? Since I can't boot into recovery?

The latest Carbon ROM has recovery which doesn't work on Our phone. Follow the procedure here to flash a working recovery.
Tried that but cant seem to work. Besides it requires busy box to be installed which I cant seem to install. Any apk for that matter cant be installed. It shows "Cant open file"

if You are on latest version of carbon, You wouldn't need to root as the ROM is pre rooted. Are You sure Your apk file are good? Because in any case, You must be able to install at least an apk file. Did You try messing with the ROM before?

Stuck in a bootloop, and I can't boot to recovery

Hey guys I was rearranging some of my old devices, and I tried turning on my Galaxy S3, the problem is that it hangs at the splash screen. So then I tried booting into recovery mode, but it just wouldn't. Although I am able to boot into Odin mode, so my question is: is it possible to perform a hardware reset using the Odin tools for Windows? Any help is appreciated!
You could also try flashing a stock ROM from sammobile.com using Odin. After flashing, try boot into recovery and wiping.

i used odin to root the phone
Restore stock boot...if you had root but removed and didn't remove modifications to boot image this will cause your boot loop
