[Q] Which Baseband, 64 or 36? - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi, Ive been using a Arc in the US for about 1 month now on T-Mobile, though Baseband 56 is bad, it constantly gives me dropped signal and such. so which one would you consider? thanks !

Use 64. It's stable for me... on 36 I have some problems with GPS connections

Agree use -64 with baseband patch. That will save your day.

thanks for the reply, does it help with battery life?

-36 baseband has for most users the best battery life.

i tried 36 yesterday because i have Battery problems ( i am using FXP 104), but the drain is not better than with 56 before, now i want to try 64, but where can i download the ftf? most Filehosters seem to be down
And in Deposit Files i have to wait for hours because i already downloaded the Libs there today..
Thanks!

With 56 baseband I had alot problems with signals. Testing 36 now and it seems very nice this far.
For .fi users, 56 had no problems with Sonera but it seems that Saunalahti/Elisa is having promlems that drived me testing 36 and maybe later 64.

[Q] Which radio version should I choose with Leedroid 2.4 ?

Hi everybody, the question is on the title. Which version you believe is the best ?
Now I have the latest 32.54.00.32U_5.14.05.17 and when I enable apn the battery runs out very fast. With another radio can this change ?
Hi, i've tried a few radios a time ago.
As a result i can say some have advantages but also disadvantages. Eg. So radio xy has a really good signal strength but gps fix needs ages!
So a good balance is important, for Europe imo the 32.44.00... is quite good, i use it myself
About the 54 radio i dont know much but i know that all before weren't better ;-)
Wait for someone who tested both, or just try by yourself.
Greets
I tried 32.49 and 32.54 with the same rom, and compared battery drain while phone is asleep. The result was that 32.49 was better (3 to 6 mA with 32.49 compared to 4 to 8 mA, something like that ...).
so far am using 32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.08 and my battery usage is ok
i may try 32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2 later on

[Q] Which is the best baseband for xperia play

some people say its 0.36 , some say its 0.64. what do you guys think?
I've been using the 36 baseband for awhile now I tried the 64 out for like a week and noticed that my signal was **** bouncing all over the place plus the battery usage was really high. On the 36 band my signal is always full up and my battery doesn't drop off the face of the planet!

[Q] Really Really Bad Battery Life

So i have an arc lt15i since april
and i think my battery life has been reduced since first purchase.
On FW 3.0.1.A.0.145 20-30 min 3G browsing=1%(100%-99%)
now on FW .62 33 3G min browsing=19% (100%-81%)
my signal is good -81dBm 16 asu
When i check in SE service test on battery health test it says:
Good,no need to replace it.
My arc condition is:
-had been repaired two times
first because restarting they give me new arc, second because 0% issue not new arc.
-never fall from anything
-unlocked bootloader via test point
-always changing ROM
-4181v on full battery.
-FW 62 , baseband 64 ,advanced stock kernel(doomlord)
-always overcharged every night
What i've tried:
-juice defender>not helping
-battery calibrating app from market>still same
-wifi browsing is about 10%/20mins
-decreasing brightness to 30%-50%
-turning off all sync
So my question is :
Do you think there is something to do with the repaired 0% battery arc?
Is my arc battery life normal?
Is there any app to check wear level?
How is your arc/arc s battery life when browsing on WCDMA/HSDPA?
Is SE service test true or not?
Does overcharging every night making my battery even worse?
Please give me some advice!
As you can see my grammar is bad so sorry about that
Thanks in advance.
I don't have exact numbers but the drain is less than yours and almost every night my Arc hangs on the charger while I'm sleeping.
Maybe you should stay on one ROM for a while and let the battery stats settle down.

what would be the fuzz moving from 56 to 64?

What do you mean?
what's the documented details between both bands?
Some guys say that they have differences about the signal and the battery life, i think that it is a balance, the greater signal strength will be lower the battery life, but some updates can make better use of the resourses, honestly i tested several roms and basebands but for a short time then i dont know exactly but i read that the .36 is the best balance.
Now i have a doubt, can the alteration of de baseband harm the gps module?

Battery problem on Nexus 5X

Hi,
I have a problem with my 5X: every time instead of dropping 1% it's dropping 2%. Like from 99 % to 97 %, from 54 % to 52 %, etc... it happens almost everytime. The battery life is somewhat good with 3 hours of SOT always on Wi-Fi without 4G. So should I install another ROM or kernel or something ? I don't think that a ROM/kernel will make a big difference beacuse they are based on AOSP and that's what Google includes by default on Nexus.
What's your take on this problem ?
Nexus 5X 16 GB - H791
Android 7.1.1 - February 2017 security patch
The phone is 2 months old
Thanks a lot !
I currently have this problem on 7.1.2(elementalx+pixelrom), I had it on 6.0 but not in 7.0-7.1. Don't know if the phone is consuming 1% and the system shows 2% or it consumes more.
same here!
It's a known problem for this device. This can't be fixed in any way.
There are more capacious batteries on the market?
