[Q] install custom ROM without unlocked bootloader

I was rooting my arc without unlock bootloader, Can I install custom ROM if my arc ICS rooted only ( no unlock bootloader) ?

There are a few ROMs that work only with CWM and stock Kernel, but most need unlocked bootloader.

You can flash Stock-based ROMs with a locked bootloader.

Try with Mooded 90.1 or JJ's Hybrid Rom, are best of BL blocked

I don't overclock my arc because I'm afraid that will be brick and anyone else although I flash custom ROM without unlock bootloader ?

Dude overclock won't brick your arc.. U should know your arc's overclocking limits tats all..

Lol.. How can u lose warranty if Sony people can't come to know tat u overclocked? .. Anyways its your choice..

I have a similar question. I was able to install CMW recovery into my locked bootloader Arc S.
Does this means I can install custom roms using it? Or to flash custom roms I still need the unlocked bootloader?

Yes scandals if u installed cwm u can install few roms.You can install arconium, all versions of mooded,90.1 works very well,arconiu muiu,jj hybrid rom those are the ones i tested and i can verefy that they are working on a phone with locked bootloader.Make sure you follow the instructions or u will screw your phone and u will have to flash the original ICS rom

I'm asking again do you know how to optimize gaming for ICS without unlock bootloader ? I used stock Kernel and stock ROM

Do what the instructions say of the ROM. Install kernel, install ROM, done.

Just flash Blend kernel (for battery), Advanced Stock Kernel Gingerbread version by Doomlord (Battery / performance) or Doomlord kernel v22 (performance) and you're good to go because those auto-roots your phone for custom ROM madness flashing!

[Q] Ultimate HD + Lupus Kernel Locked BL

Hey guys.
i flashed ultimate hd rom and it looks very nice..
the performance is not very good.. so i want to install lupus kernel..
but i have locked bootloader so is there any way to install without unlocking my bootloader?
maybe can anyone tell me some good Terminal tweaks for better performance or somethink ? or good kernels without unlock bootloader..
OR any other good tipps ?

EDIT: Ok i found doomlord kernel locked bootloaders is it recomanded with ultimate hd?

[Q] Performance Issue

Hi guys,
I Rooted My play and installed NXT Rom,but I have a locked bootloader,so I can't flash a new kernel or even unlock the bootloader because my phone is sim locked. So,my question is,Is it better to reflash stock rom,root it an flash some tweaks or stay on the NXT,btw i can't get into recovery from NXT.
And another Q: Can I flash Adreno booster on stock rom?

If you like playing heavy games and having great performances on stock clock, then a stock firmware, rooted, debloated and adreno-boosted (of course you can flash it on stock gb) is for you.
While if you like having a super eye-candy rom with good performances, then I can say that NXT Rom by krisdee is one of the best gb rom available for our play.
