Switched to a 4G Touch from a Photon...Signal Sucks!!! - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

So I was coming close to the end of my 30 day chance to swap my Photon for the 4G Touch, so I did it today...The Photon totally blows this Samsung out the water as far signal strength !
Sure the 4G Touch looks better and has more eye candy, but the WiFi signal and regular signal is very subpar to the Motorola.
Anything I can do to try the 4G Touch to «fix« the radio and get a better signal?

Really? I'm getting great signal 3G .77-1.30mbps down and on wifi 25 mbps+
you always have craigslist..

Photon was always known to have great radio performance. Don't know if they fixed it but the evo 3d was supposedly horrible.

Well, I do know that the wifi antenna in the ET is on the left near the top, if you have your hand around the phone it will dampen the signal, inconvenient but if you hold it near the bottom it should help

Welcome to the wonderful world of the SGE4GT... I have had this phone for about 3 months, and have always suffered from poor radio performance. I have flashed almost all the modem updates (ek02, el13, el26, and now el29) have noticed slight improvements, but nothing drastic. Just one of the trade offs with this phone. Bad ass celly but bad bad signal.

This is just my take on the issue. My test was done with my epic touch and my cousins iPhone 4 both on the same wifi signal. IPhone 4 had full bars meanwhile my epic had 2 and only way I could get three was putting it right next to the router. My og epic same problem with signal strength as e4gt.. Running speedtest my epic touch had the higher score even with it being a bar less. My final test was walking out the house as far as I can till signal cuts off. Both phones lost connection about the same time. I honestly think Samsung just doesn't read the signal correctly being that both phones disconnected about the same time. And the epic also outperformed in the speedtest for the most part.. That's just my take based on my test with an iPhone. Maybe someone could do a similar one see if they experience the same...

Thanks for the responses guys!
I thought try y'all were going to think I wss trolling being I have a low post count
Coming from the Photon having full signal bars in my house last night to the 4G Epic only having 2 is werid.
The Epic also lost all signal in my local Walmart tonight as well. I was using the Photon just fine in there 2 nights ago?
As far as the Wi-Fi, same router, settings & distance..the Epic gets 1 bar where my Photon was always maxed out. Max Speed Test results via Wi-Fi were:
Epic 4G = 3.8mb
Photon = 20.0mb+...never under
Is there some setting(s) thats easily overlooked with this phone?
I will admit the screen & overall speed is awesome...

How does your phone behave? Is it giving you trouble?
My bars are also not the best, but I stopped caring about how many bars I have and more about how my phone behaves. I don't really have calls dropping or signal issues on 3g/wifi, so I decided to stop complaining about it.
Might be a bit naive on my part, but whatever.. It's going to get fixed and it doesn't seem to be affecting me so I stopped worrying about the bars.

My wife has the photon and I have epic touch, her phone always shows more bars but bars can be deceiving so I have run speed test on both phones in same locations and there is never any significant variances. Additionally in the few places where I have lost signal and or have roamed so has she, I think that the Motorola bars might just be a little optimistic, definitely using a different algorithm.

I had to go to the Sprint store this morning to get a case for the phone and while I was there i asked about the reception. They took a look at the phone and did some kind of test. The guy give it back and says here its good to go, so as Im walking out I called my girl and it dropped the call ! Called back and it did the same thing..lol
So I took it back in, told them keep peice of **** and got a Photon again and my $80 back...
Good luck with your Epic G4 Touches guys !

BOOOOOOOOO! Quitter!

Some people that know rf and such can tell you the meter really is useless. There is no standard for how many bars are shown at whatever -DB signal level. Someone with the tools and knowledge to manipulate it, could go into the radio receiver and adjust the meter to whatever they want. Yes a meter is handy but it isn't the gospel truth. The motorola possibly has better signal to noise ratio and adjacent channel rejection than the Samsung. Motorola has lots of experience with rf in two way radios, pagers, phones and repeaters. If you are in fringe areas often, then maybe the photon is for you. It may have a great radio in it but some of the other areas, it might be lacking. Motorola also has an attitude reputation that some don't like, including myself. They aren't the kind of company that likes it if a user goes inside and tunes and tinkers with things. They like to weld the hood shut and not tell anyone how to work on their stuff.

Good response !
I see what your saying about there is no definite scale of bars vs signal across all phones, but the 4G Touch dropped 2 calls in the Sprint parking lot
After using the Photon for almost a month, I never had any complaints on the service, signal, 3G or WiFi. It was way better then the EVO 4G I was coming from. It really lacked in the screen dept, but the higher res sorta made up for it.
In the end, the latest and greatest Touch 4G just didn't work in a way I could deal with for what I want. I didn't really wanna deal with flashing this and upgrading this to make it work.
Good luck guys !

Even in two way radios, there's no "standard" of how much signal should equal however many bars or s-units on a receive meter.
I've never owned a motorola. Are they still doing that BS of locking the boot loaders or whatever? Between Samsung/HTC/LG, Samsung phones seem the easiest to root and mess around with.

Its a well known fact that some manf. Inflate the signal coverage on there phones...when in actuality its no where near that.

Motorola has always had the best radios. On avg moto will have better signal all the time.
I still get the call, no dropped calls here. I prefer HTC and Samsung due to unlocked bootloaders.

To each their own..I just tested my speed on 3 bars wifi and I got 17.4 down and 5.3 upload...my internet speed is 15/5 so that's pretty good..I do agree the signal bars usually mean diddly for accurate comparison...also DB scale is logarithmic so a 20 db increase means 100 times more in linear scale..fyi

I can tell you that at work, my Epic Touch has a noticeably worse WiFI range than any other device I tested.
I know its a bit unfair because of antenna size, but a three year old laptop can pull down 9Mb from anywhere in our building via WiFi. My Epic Touch loses any ability to access the network in about 25% of the building.
Side by side on the same WiFi network, using the same test server, my Samsung Moment consistently (5 out of 5) performs better on the Speedtest.net app. Performed about 5 feet from the nearest router. I also get an extra 20 feet or so from the router before the Moment loses all connectivity.

Epic Touch and EVO 3D - signal and call quality?

Hello,
I have the EVO 3D currently and I have real issues with signal and call quality even though all my previous sprint phones have been HTC phones - going back to their first WM phone and none had this problem.
I would really like feedback from someone who had the EVO 3D and DID notice call quality issues and signal quality issues - is the Epic Touch 4G better?
Any other things you notice - battery life, download speeds?

Thanks - that is the sort of info I'm looking for. Not everyone said they had an issue with signal - I've had 3 3Ds - all have signal and voice quality issues - same with people I know but for some reason some don't believe their 3D phones have an issue so I'd like to get feedback from people who are familiar with the issue.
If I get a few more confirmations that it is better, I'll give it a try myself. I'm past my 30 days so I'll spend a wad o' cash to upgrade from the 3D but if it solves the crappy reception issues and call quality it will be worth the investment.

Thanks - this may sound strange but did you get people asking you to repeat yourself on the 3D? I'm not sure if the choppy call quality was due to the signal or something else but I had to repeat myself for callers on a regular basis. I didn't notice it much on my end but I got a lot of that when I switched to the 3D from my old phone.
some calls were fine.. but then other times it pissed me off cuz i really had to tune in my ears because i had a damm hard time understanding what the hell they were saying.. like the garbleling crap or what eva u call it.. and i travel on train bout an hour each way to work and always surfing on the phone and i notice that theres a few spots commuting that i have very weak signal to practically nothing whereas the Evo 4g neva had that issues at all in those spots... really unfortunate to have this when i was a loyal htc and evo fan

Thanks for the feedback - if you do get the Epic, please post your opinion on call/signal quality. I don't want to be a sissy boy but I also don't want to jump in like I did with the 3D and get burned on another bum phone. I was travelling when my 30 days was up and missed out on returning it even though I did trade it in twice thinking I might have gotten a defective one.
So far my first phone call was real Crisp sounding compared to my Dads EVO 4G. The Speakerphone sounds clear with no speaker abrasive vibrations coming from it like the EVO does. then I tried in my Car speakerphone freeway driving and that wasnt as good as other people claimed it to be for my experience. the Floor Ceiling Volume is not that much better than a Touch Pro 2. I could barely hear it in my 93 Civic from the tire noise (I guess my cars road feedback ground noise is LOUD). My dad said he could hear alot of background noise that was not so cool to hear to him. So with out the noise cancelling mic on this device that might not be up to par.
I dont have an EVO 3D or a Photon to compare it too, but I can tell you the Corporate Sprint Store Reps were all obligining to trade in their Photons and EVO 3D's for this BEAST. That really tells you something when the employees are changing their minds.
---------- Post added at 02:56 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:51 AM ----------
The only Phones I could ever claim that have the Best Speaker phones with highest volumes were the NEXTELS especially my i880. all my Motorola Nextels. Since I dont have a Photon to see if Motorola is still living to their name for having the best Speaker Phones of the whole Market. Even my friends Motorola Blackberry wannabe, I forget the model name of it? his had the same HIGH floor ceiling level volume CRISP sounding Speaker phone in his phone from 1. years ago.
I know why Motorola has the best speaker phones is they own the Patents on the speaker phones and the CDMA radio technology.
My call quality seems okay, but I'm having data issues that get on my nerves. My ET won't work in places where my EVO 4G did, and it
s annoying. I'm talking about standing in line at the grocery store, downloading an app taking forever with 1 bar. Not cool.
But voice though, voice sounds pretty good, no one has complained to me....yet.

THanks - I definitely want to hear both the positive and the negative. That sucks about the data which is important to me but I have to say the voice is by far the most important part of the phone. I had problems today with my data as well on my EVO 3D. Data was never impressive to me on the 3D but today is worse, I'm wondering if they are doing that evdo rev b upgrade on the towers in my area they mentioned.
I know people with the EVO 4G and they never had issues with voice quality that I know of so I'm really trying to focus on a comparison of voice between the 3D and the ET.
Anyone else jumped from the 3D to the ET4G because of signal/call quality? If so, is the ET4G any better?

When I played with the phone in a sprint store, the signal strength was roughly the same - it fluctuated between -83-91 dB on both phones side by side.
ET hold call and has better voice quality than EVO 3D but data speed where they have full bar, EVO 3D is way ahead ET, at Sprint store I ran couple speed tests, ET dl around 1.1 where EVO 3D round 1.8
Bottom line, if you like me, live where Sprint has sh!tty signal, ET is better..
I will test this tonight at work. In my office i got 3g with 1 to 2 bars with my og Evo. My 3d was 1 bar but would switch to 1x 95 percent of the time. Tonight i go back from my weekend and will give my results with the GS2. I love this phone either way though lol. Calls from home have been on par with the 3d. Maybe slightly better reception.

The Photon and back, my personal experience.

I bought into the whole "Samsung radios suck" thing. I have a Photon in hand, and the bottom line is that its performing in nearly the exact same manner as the E4GT as far as reception. Im looking at the numbers, and Im not really impressed. Consider some dead areas which I attributed to the E4GT's "bad radio"....I still cannot pull data with the Photon. The Photon may have slightly better reception - but in real world applications, I dont think it warrents switching units.
So if Im not getting better reception, what am I getting? A smaller screen, terrible ergonomics (button placement, usb input placement), locked boot loader (broken 4G if unlock), quiet dev forum, some lag here and there in the menus, oh and yes the sleep of death! Not to mention the latest OTA is perpetually failing to install. The camera isnt close to as good as the touch either.
What I do like: I wish the E4GT had a kickstand. I also like the high res of the Photon's screen, looks very crisp. The BLUR SMS is also better than Touchwiz too, if you ask me.
I dont know....The Photon isnt really a terrible phone. But, consider my statements before you jump ship. I am going to have Sprint switch my service back to my E4GT. I understand that the E4GT has issues, and Samsung does too....but using both of these phones back to back I just cant let go of the touch.
Thoughts?
I agree with you more or less, and yea the higher res on the photon would have been great on the touch. The screen on the touch is nicer for scrolling, but the whites are not white, they are an off white as to the photon's white was a bright clear white.
reception, I feel both are about the same with the photon tending to "hold" the signal a bit better. The touches signal bar is misleading but so far my call ability has been decent, but not photon decent.
My main reason for switching was the photon I had would clock up the cell radio and no way to recover till a reboot was performed. It was so bad that it happened several times a day. Missed tons of calls and txt and decided enough was enough. So here I am sporting the SGS2 and I must admit the screen res and whiteness is the only thing that I can pick on so far.
The OTA will fail if you've any changes to the system files. That what sucks with the Motor updates.

I will tell you, I had photon for a month, then
E4GT since launch and the radios on everything work better, even bluetooth.
I did a shoot out with my buddies photon same area, I had much better throughput than his. Calls just as clear. Gps works better cause on the photon the market got offtrack while ET4G didn't, plus speed and reception of gps it won.
So I don't give into that 'better radio' hype

after a slight adventure out in to the world of mobile providers before coming back to sprint i think i have to agree with this.
i found at&t and verizon are too expensive and t-mobile seems to be almost non-existent. so you have sprint in that sweet middle spot amassing people exponentially.
i have also learned that almost all prepaid carriers android phones run on sprint towers? crazy right? if you ever wondered why you don't get amazing speeds, this could be a reason. they whore their towers out to pretty much everyone.

Returning the Epic 4G Touch

Definitely sucks as I really like the phone but the service here sucks. I live in South Beach, Miami, Florida which is supposed to have 4G coverage, I haven't seen it once anywhere, in buildings, walking on the streets, etc. 3G is horribly slow plus I barely get it as soon as I walk into any building, my high rise, my work...anywhere. Voice quality is good but let's be honest, at this point data is used more then voice. My T-Mobile mytouch 4g has HSPA+ almost everywhere including my place and even when it switches to 3g it's still 5 times faster then Sprint. I only like the sprint version of the Galaxy S2 with the led notification and the 4.5 inch screen, not to mention unlimited data. I may have to play around with the tmobile version since I am grandfathered into unlimited data but it not having the same cpu blows. I may just wait for the galaxy nexus and lose my unlimited data but I also will lose my sd card slot, I currently have a 16gb card and its almost 100% full so not sure how that will work out. This phone was the only one that checked all the boxes but sprints service was more then disappointing....
take it back and get the galaxy s 2 from t-mobile. i live in pompano beach and like you I dont see much wimax either. but i switched from t-mobile because of the amount of data i use. i can go through 10 gig a month easy. but 3g is ok here. not the best....but ok. good luck with it.
I feel you. I just sold my Epic Touch and went back to my Nexus S. Battery dead in 7 hrs flat just in standby mode due to loss of service issue and battery drain.
Wanted to love this phone so badly, great screen, so light i didn't even feel it in my pocket at all, so great to type on due to massive screen, speaker and general sounds are loud and crisp but if i have no battery juice after 6-7 hrs of standby, imagine if i actually used it for anything. A few custom roms and kernels helped push it to 10-11 hrs but then those made the loss of service more pronounced or worse in some cases.
Shame really, so close to being the perfect phone too.
It is so crazy the different experiences we all have with this phone. I have been running my phone never rooted for 3 weeks now and have not had an LOS yet. Signal has been fine and no problems picking up 4G in my area. 3G sucks no matter what phone you will use on Sprint right now.
As for battery, yesterday I went 15.5 hours off the charger with 4 hours of on-screen time and plugged in with 5% left. That is insanely good compared to any prior Android device I have used.......
this is one of the best phones i have ever had jus had to say that
While it's been an enjoyable run with the E4GT, I'm joining the seemingly growing group of people who are returning/selling their device.
LoS means missing calls from my daughter, who is just getting old enough to call when she wants to say hi and talk to me. I may not care for my ex, but I adore my little girl and want to talk to her every time she wants her papa.
I'd rather deal with the locked down nature of an iOS device that receives calls 100% of the time over than the hardware that I love in the E4GT.
Ugh iOS.....

, just get a photon, Nexus S or an evo3d, there are other great phones out there.
I don't understand why people are having these problems, I'm not having much of any trouble. I had problems with battery at first, but I rooted it to remove bloat and uneeded running apps, with ROM's such as Starburst and other Kernals that help with some battery tweaks. I also have found, that while i'm at school I can just use a data toggler whenever I'm not using 3g, to turn off 3g. This saves an EXTREME amount of battery, as I lasted 3 days without any 3g because I wouldn't be near a charger.
As for LoS, I can't say much as i've never had problems. But Sprint is adding a 4G tower in my city sometime in early '12 so i'm happy with that.
Add another to the list of people looking to sell the ET4G. Im currently weighing some options from people on Craigslist to see what phone Im going to trade for. Reception is terrible on this phone, GPS isnt much better seeing how the phone needs a reboot to get a lock (I use GPS daily). Im currently sitting in my office and I have zero bars and keep getting kicked into roaming. Next to my phone is a coworkers Nexus s and the secretaries Iphone 4s. Nexus has 2 bars, Iphone has 3 of 4.
I really thought this was gonna be the phone of the year but the bugs that plague it kill those hopes. My biggest issue though is no fix release for another month.

I was under the impression Sprint wasnt adding anymore 4g towers anywhere with the switch to LTE. If I were you Id check on that before expecting any new 4G.
well i've been experiencing a few problems nthn major though, yea the data was slow and i would get kicked into roam the first few days i got the phone, but after that it's been super fast. This is a great phone, and with unlimited data makes it even better, this phone will definitely give the galaxy nexus comp(possibly beat it) i love my epic 4g touch(coming from the Motorola Atrix) i really can see myself keeping this phone until my upgrade(2 years from now), my battery life is great and won't have to worry about it dying cause i bought a portable charger(which i highly recommend for heavy users like me that's constantly on the go) but this phone is the best out now and besides ICS, it will beat the galaxy nexus IMO
If it weren't for the price i would def. leave Sprint. Their data speeds suck so bad here in Metro Detroit.

Ive owned since release never rooted getting same positive Battery results as are many which leads me to believe there's lots of device duds or root turns it into one.
Oh and the Troll factor claims
I have been nothing but disappointed with this phone. If I hadn't bought it though wirefly I would have returned it the first week. I'm not really found of the samsung software, my data speed has really crapped out over the last month, the dropped calls and low signal strength are a real disappointment. This will be my last Samsung phone, I am going back to HTC, they seem to know how to make a phone for business not just to be a toy.

hmm what would be Samsung Toy factor ?
The reason I ask is because Ive had no issue with device data/LOS/signal etc.
It runs smoother , faster , Better hardware & construction.
Yeah dude, I'd have to agree with you. I had the original EVO 4G and it was a great phone. But after trying the EVO 3D and Thunderbolt (biggest piece a of **** I've ever owned) I'm extremely happy with the hardware. Now if we only get a Sense port...
It's odd that this is the same Samsung that made the og Epic and the Nexus S 4G. When I had the og Epic, I never had any loss of service issue of any sort and battery life was decent. Nexus S 4G (current device) only issue is a bum radio and low sounds/speaker volume generally, but definitely nothing in the realm of the Epic Touch's loss of service and or Android OS battery draining wifi bug.
What irritated me the other day about the Epic Touch was I left home fully charged at 5am, and by shift end at 3pm I was at 20%, never had a chance to even use phone for calls/SMS, web, nothing, and this is smack in the middle of NYC with bars of service. Come to realize phone had gone into a loss of service whatever and was stuck there (crossed circle). So all day i had missed important calls, SMS, emails e.t.c., cause after a reboot they all came flooding in.
Thank God I wasn't job hunting and expecting a call back or something that important.

It's frustrating, I am almost looking for reasons to keep it, however I am now using my mytouch 4g which is a year old and never was a standout phone and I am getting download speeds of 5mbps....i dont think I ever saw over 500k on the on the epic, most around 150k
I feel like the rest of you. Putting out a great phone like the Galaxy S2 on Sprint is like putting candy sprinkles on a turd.

aaaaaahahahahaha

Just tested the signal on two different phones (CDMA)

Just ran a quick little test: http://bit.ly/vnuWdr
Take a read and tell me what you think!
I'm on the fence. Truth or False Hope? As long as it works. I think they should bump it up some only because I think its TOO low.
Also signal bars may have an influence of several other things. If you have 0 bars and getting good signal... how can you tell if your on fringe signal?
I say bump up the bars. I never see full bars anymore where my blackberry and rezound always were full. Plus its a pain to try to explain to buddies why your phone looked dead.
-Galaxy Nexus
-Asus Transformer
That's my main thing also.. how do you explain to someone that every other Verizon phone is showing the signal differently but yours is the right one?
The bars are kind of depressing but they paint a clearer picture of what is really going on.
Yeah, these snake oil charlatans have been faking the bars all along because of all the frenzy and marketing around more bars. Turns out we've had low bars and crap signal this whole time and shelling out big bucks each month to bankroll this lousy service.
Lovely! Way to expose yourself Verizon.
Maybe I just don't get it. What is the issue?
At work my Thunderbolt had 1-2 bars (of 6) and had -110 to -115. My Galaxy Nexus has a sliver of a triangle with -110 to -115. Are there other 4G phones that misrepresent poor reception? I'm in a terrible area here at work. At home both of my phones are between -80 and -85 on average. Generally carrying full or close to full bars. My house is obviously a much better area. I get far superior performance.
I don't see anything misleading here. Unless people have come from other phones that lie to them, this seems like a waste of time. I would much rather time be spent fixing actual issues and problems. =(

Yes. As I stated, my fiance's phone misrepresents, the RAZR also. Most of their phones do especially the new ones. We are speaking bars, not actual db but some of their phones show that differently as well.
The example in my post is what happens, one will have full bars while our phone has low but we could get better service. If you are already in an area with good service, then it probably isn't an issue, both phones should be accurate.
I didn't get a chance to test 4G since her phone doesn't have that, but there was an article that showed the 4G lied also.

You never once mention dBm in your blog. This information is very important in comparisons, not "bars" which are an arbitrary 1-4 scale designed to merely give you a sense of signal strength.
Who cares about anyone else!? I'd rather tell people that their phones are bs and are designed to lie to them and then show them dBm readings to prove it than to artificially inflate the display as they've apparently been doing all along. Raise the bars just so that people can't make fun of me? How ridiculous to even think that way. Apparently the bullies in your life still have you under thumb.
I think a fundamental problem is so many people who have a lack of understanding of technology are buying this device who need simple 4 bar systems and can't handle more than 3 soft keys. They are dumbing down the Nexus, which was designed to be an open dev device, not an iDiotPhone.
Let's not hamper our device in aims to defend ourselves from ignorants and bullies.

The db were sinlmiliar yet she had full or four bars. Both around 100. Again this was just on 3G.

I don't care about bars or db. When I run the Speedtest.net app, the results are satisfactory. I get better speeds than my Xoom and better speeds than my WiFi.
When my performance is lacking, I'll call Verizon and talk to them about it. Right now, I'm satisfied.

A 0001 PRL story...

For those of you who often wonder about the implications of using the Verizon PRL and struggle with poor Sprint service, here is a little story.
I finally got my warning letter after using 0001 for about 4 or 5 months. What surprised me is that I also got a courteous call in which a Sprint rep reminded me of Sprint's roaming policies.
I kindly pointed out that I barely have any data or voice service at my home, which is essentially true. The rep verified my claim, and actually offered me a contract termination without fees as an OPTION. I took the offer, and I am now an ATT SGSII owner. I have full service at my home, and often see dl speeds of 4-8 mbps in my general area on their HSPA+ network.
And so in the end, if you are a Sprint customer struggling with poor service...I really have to recommend using 0001.

I get about 20-25 Mbps up and down with my wifi. And the ping is something like 30ms.
Can your ATT beat that?
I use 1115 so I'll roam when I need it. I don't think I'd last long on a tiered plan without getting dinged with $500 bill sometime. Especially since ATT likes to encourage you to consume data more than usual. Its not like im downloading ROMs or watching movies when I'm out and about.
They could have sent you a airave, problem solved.

this is a stupid response because 1) he obviously doesn't care about how fast his data speed is INSIDE his house where he is most likely using his computer connected to broadband internet anyways; 2) any idiot could've assumed he cares more about data speeds when he's out and about with friends; 3) even if he didn't have broadband internet at home and was tethering his phone data, then all the MORE reason to use ATT instead of Sprint.

because intelligence is overrated.
How do you like the AT&T SGS2 compared to the E4GT? I switched to AT&T because of their data speeds and am trying out the iPhone 4S right now, still have 2 weeks to decide which phone I want to go with. I might just keep this thing and buy a used SGS2 off craigslist and switch between the two depending on mood.

Its fine, a lateral move really. I miss the notification light though. The slightly smaller screen is a toss up. Word has it that ICS will be hitting the ATT SGSII Q1 2012. How do you like the Iphone right now? I almost thought of getting it, but the SGSII is such an awesome device.
Aside from a couple minor (and one MAJOR) complaints, I like it quite a bit. I really thought I was going to hate it, my original intention was to only keep it for a couple weeks and then swap it out for an SGS2 but it has really grown on me. My only real complaint is about Siri. It sucks. I used to use voice commands all the time on android and I feel like that ability is all but lost. Aside from that, I really like the simplicity of iOS, games on it are bad ass (save for the small screen), and the phone itself is beautifully designed and built.

For some things. While the games on iOS are FAR superior to those on Android, playing them on such a tiny screen sucks, to be frank. I'll play MC3 on this thing and then play it on my E4GT and it does make me question what the hell I'm doing by switching phones. Internet browsing too just isn't the same. That said, it is nice to not have to do any type of finger acrobatics to reach every corner of the screen. And everything else is great. I thought texting was going to be a problem too but it isn't, the iOS keyboard I'm sorry to say is FAR better than any keyboard I've tried on Android. It's fast and accurate and the autocorrect isn't nearly as bad (or as funny) as all the screencaps floating around would lead us to believe.
