Don't create another thread for an existing issue . This is get you nowhere. Wait for the developers to comeback.

I guess for now its the only thing that could be done out of simplicity,
when I sent my phone in I flashed back to the Rogers 2.3.3 / .145 firmware. I get my phone back on OCT 17th, so I'll let you guys know what's up by then

Not even needed, and again, have a read of the numerous threads on the issue and you'll find methods to resolve it.

exactlyy that is the main reason im not giving my cell to the warranty service they just take to much time to resolve it :S.....

mine too i can't fit it im lucky i have warranty im waiting for 1 week for my ARC..

Hi.
I thought there is no solvation of the problem until now. Only thing is to use an old firmware with a patch, which makes the battery show only 1 percent all the time and the phone stays on without charging.
Or is there something i am missing?

According to all the threads I've read sending the phone to SE for repairs is the only viable solution, at least if you're still on warranty. That includes the thread linked to in this thread.

I've read the threads both here and in the Neo forum, and have found no good solution. What search parameters should I use to find this secret thread with all the answers?

I put my Arc to SE as this happened to me and i am getting a straight replacement as my handset is less than 28 days old, though when speaking to SE on the phone they said they are aware of the problem and working towards a solution aswell, and i told him of all the users on xda with same problem and they know about it and acknowledged the work of the developers on here trying to solve it also
Seems like SE is watching the forum to some degree, nice to know that they not only support devs but watch what were all upto

No need to get aggresive, but yes, if that thread was a rattlesnake, it would have bitten him like a dozen times, and yet he wouldn't have noticed.

In case I really am a dumbass and you're NOT talking about the thread pecholino linked to further upthread, could you please link to it? I'm not trying to be difficult, but the temporary fix is not better than having the phone repaired if you're on warranty. If there is another fix I seriously can't find it, and may die of rattlesnake poisoning.

ICS rollout stopped??

hi there, hope im in the right place but looking for some info but i cant seem to find any from the horses mouth so thought id ask someone in the know here.
i currently have a 2011 xperia arc and have been eagerly awaiting the ics update, my numbers not in their klist yet but whats doing my head in is the fact the keep updating their blog but no releases have been issued since 31/05/2012?
has android/sony stopped rolling out does anyone know? because they cannot seem to give any answers?

on Sony Mobile site they are saying it will be released soon.
I'm just using JJRom anyway, working fine, based on Sony ICS 4.04

Have a bit of patience. It's only rolled out to a few places as of yet. We've waited for many months for the ICS update. Surely a few weeks ain't that big a deal.

I was looking on google and saw that some people said that update is good, in other hand some said that it's bad because of lagg ?

Oh, no. I didn't saw that "O" in arcO :S What should i do now? Should i post in right forum, or wait to moderators to move this thread ?

My mother has a Arc S and it is on the latest ics 4.0.4. and it works good. Yes sometimes it lags but my xperia S does that also sometimes. I dont mind.
My advice is: just update, and if it is to laggy for you then you can always flash GB back (search arc s forum how to.)

Well, what I can tell, on my Xperia Pro, when I updated to ICS, it was running great until I installed many apps (which were running great on GB), because of ICS using more RAM, then I had to use some auto task killers, and so on.. But as power323f said, you can always flash back.

I had 4.0.4 before i changed it for a custom rom. Still, for arc s, it doesnt lag very much and for the extra features on the ICS I would probably update it

If I remember correctly, that is a bug in turbo kernel, probably (not sure) related to the fact that kernel isn't based on a gb kernel
Probably we can't fix that

I was out in Xperia Play development for long time some months ago, so missed many relases like ROMs, firmwares or Kernels. Didn't look into TurboKernel too, but if friend CriGiu is right, then in my personal knowledge - if something like Custom Kernel is not based on official sources like Stock Kernel, and there is difference between OS (one official for GB, one, compiled from scratch for other (?)) then only implementing support could help I think. Don't bother my words, as it's only ttheoretically as like I said - I don't know much about this bug .

some developer so if you like the idea and have time ... it would be great to keep up the development of the kernel multiboot
PS: maybe they think that few users would like a kernel well, if so, then help me to collect signatures supporting a kernel multiboot passes (GB / ICS / JB). leaving a comment on the link in my signature ..

I can help if needed and ask my best friends here like Justin extremetempz, Diamond Pizza_Dox and Gareth wedgess. Of course any work will come after I end all my projects I announced so only time knows when it comes, but I will be happy to help and support XPlay longer ^^.

okay @DiKeJ, thanks for your attention ..
oh and on the Turbo Kernel 3.1, the only important thing to solve you would be the touchpad (GB), because the camera on (ICS) & (JB) works, but in GB you get the best gaming performance, so the touchpad are indispensable ...

No problem, BTW imo I think it's nice idea, having few ROMs, one for dialy use and one for gaming. Maybe some new DiXperia project appear with that great option, who knows . But the most important - time n' patience .

i am in bro,we will get the update android 4.4 or atleast 4.3 if Qualcomm works on it

Good luck with this. Seeing as all the devices are reaching their life cycle it will be very difficult to get anyone to pay attention at this point. I guess the real question is do they plan to create drivers for 4.3 or 4.4?? Kinda doubt it though.

thats true but for me this is a new phone and the hardware has the potential so why not allow to use it.this will increase QUALCOMM's marketing and even the users will be happy who paid their hard earned money on all of these expensive phones :laugh:
