[q] super noob wants to root his phone

HI THERE,
i AM SUPER NOOB. DO NOT USE ANY TERM WITHOUT EXPLAINING PLEASE.
i have the rogers play with 2.3.3. i did root it before using that app that would root your phon with just installing it. now after i updated to 2.3.3. that didnt work.
im wondering if now there is a new version of it?! if not please tell me what is the easiest wy to root the phone. and if u are going to help me please speak noob language. dont just say stuff cuz u assume i know it. im new to all this. never flashed any phone or anything like that. lol

You are so noob that you did not read the rules posted in this section. You are supposed to ask all questions in the general area.

You need to be saved from yourself so im not answering you question until you read until your eyes bleed.

Some proper English would help. If you don't know what your doing, and need step by step instructions, you shouldn't be rooting your Play anyway.

i ahve galaxy nexus 14 days . today i did antuto test and i got 6000 points i saw ather results and its like 14000. is there en problem with my phone or its becouse ihave some apps ?
and sorry if i wrong with section

yup, very wrong section as stated above.
do a bit more modifying to your device and you could get better scores too. 6000 is normal, doesnt matter how many apps you have. scores also depend on your cpu speed/overclocking.

Do you already have a unlocked / rooted device? If not, there are many tutorials over here. If yes, flash another ROM and another kernel (Trinity or something) and OverClock your CPU (with Trinity Kernel Toolbox or another app). Good luck.

Learn what is XDA for. Try to also turn your swag off, your text will look better.

You seem to know what you are talking about but please, stop encouraging this kind of stupid post. This person did not even took the time to look where to post. Not even that, but he asked how to have more benchmark score, which is pretty stupid. If he said : "It's lagging when i use my phone, what can i do ?" It would not be that bad, but how to get more benchmark, come on.

Yes, I do. But I am giving a short explanation. The rest he can do himself. I know he posted in the wrong section but that doesn't say we can't give him some help. People already said this is the wrong section, so he probably knows it already. We are here to help people on XDA, not to blame them 100 times that they posted wrong. Greets.

It's not only that he posted on wrong section. It's mostly because what he posted is completely stupid and goes pretty against the xda spirit.

Think I may have unlocked a locked bootloader ;)

After having a chat with o2 who provided my sxs,and asking them to unlock my bootloader the assistant apparently filled out a form to have this done,I shall have to wait 7days to get a email from them with a code then get in touch with Sony-so fingers crossed it works.
I triple checked that they wasn't doing a SIM unlock and got a copy of the chat if it doesn't turn out to be the boot loader unlock.

Actually there were countless threads regarding "Unlocking a locked bootloader Allowed= NO"
This is why I said, it would have been great if you posted, once you get a confirmation from the carrier that the bootloader is unlocked.
And as a fellow member i don't think it is wise to say like this -

And who said I didn't know what I was doing?
Its a open forum,and people can post what they feel is relevant to the community-I feel it is relevant.

Actually that's not how it works. There are rules in this forum. You have to search -> read -> then post. As auni said there are plenty of thread regarding bootloader. And there are moderators, contributors in this forum. There duty is to keep the forum clean. So they can tell about what is allowed and not allowed for noobs like you.

And like I said-go find me another post where a network has agreed and started the process of unlocking the bootloader.
I must have small man syndrome because my post count isn't as big as other hey!

Now you're trolling . You might argue that you searched for other threads where the BL gets unlocked by the carrier (it isn't yet though so let's wait and see, might be they misunderstood your question and they're just SIM unlocking your phone), but trolling is definitely against the rules .

You should give more information. I doubt anybody wants to test anything on their new $700 Note 4 without knowing what you are working on and who developed it. Not to sound rude but you must give people more information as well as remember to type in you Hangouts username/email. I hope you have something nice in the works. thanks for the heads up on upcoming rom.

I think he meant to say dynamic kat and it is a rom on the note 4 for t-mobile i think. I tried porting it over also. How about some details on what you think is working and what isn't. Did you also get the developers permission? I am not on hangouts but you can send me a pm. I'll have 2 note 4's till the end of the week when i have to return 1, so i don't mind throwing something on it.

Everywhere you post your typos are painful. Slow down and take the time to correct your crap, especially starting a new thread. If you just asked Brian from dynamic he would more than likely help instead of you just doing your thing. How's that aosp you supposedly have going on.?

There was no permission given for a port.
As @jdidtht mentioned, I would have helped anyone that was serious about trying to bring this over.
Being as how you cannot spell the name correctly, I cannot take what you doing here as being serious. If you are porting for your own personal use, great! If you are porting with the intent of distribution here in the Sprint forums, Contacting me first would had been the proper thing to do.
