How come some apps are not compatible with the GN?
Take some NFC apps as an example, and this for instant: https://market.android.com/details?id=org.chatchatmeow.gnl
EDIT: Is it because I have set lower density?

Changing density does that to some apps, I don't have any trouble installing the app you linked.

The problem was the screen density. Fixed it with LCD Density Pro app

It's the lcd. Change it back to 240, or downgrade to a 2.x.x market.

Yup, that's the problem. One of the few negative effects of changing lcd density along with the offset dialer

I downloaded an app that changes the screen dpi. I have it set to 180 dpi now. Can anything bad come out of doing this?
Is this a good dpi, or is there something better?

It can cause issues with Google play, some apps might give you an error saying the device isn't compatible.

But it wont cause any physical damage?
If you want to change DPI I recommend you try Paranoid Android. It's a pretty solid ICS rom and you change between phone, tablet, or a hybrid UI and change the DPI accordingly.

Have you rooted the device? Then use an app to change your colors, for example the kernel apps by Trinity or Franco. There is also a free app but I forgot the name..

When I bumped my density down to 240 the Samsung keyboard keeps crashing. Anyway of getting it to work? I use the pen writing option a lot and won't get that with a third party keyboard. But 320 density is a bit too big for me

Worked for me to, ,but when you get away from a stock density (180, 240 and 320) it trends to break the compatibility of market apps. I'll have to see what happens

YouTube was flawless on the nexus 10...but on the nexus 7 it is just silly
Any ideas?

have you tried paranoid android? it lets you choose what layout you want
You need to set the DPI to 160 tablet format.
Anyway to do it but keep the normal layout? As in just YouTube lol

As far as I know PA offer the possibility to change per app DPI so you can change the YouTube DPI without affecting other things.
