I downloaded an app that changes the screen dpi. I have it set to 180 dpi now. Can anything bad come out of doing this?
Is this a good dpi, or is there something better?

It can cause issues with Google play, some apps might give you an error saying the device isn't compatible.

But it wont cause any physical damage?
If you want to change DPI I recommend you try Paranoid Android. It's a pretty solid ICS rom and you change between phone, tablet, or a hybrid UI and change the DPI accordingly.

It's the lcd. Change it back to 240, or downgrade to a 2.x.x market.

Yup, that's the problem. One of the few negative effects of changing lcd density along with the offset dialer

The initial play store screen shows only apps, magazines, and music.
Everything else seems to be fine.
I think what he means is that certain apps, in the store, will not show up as compatible for your phone based on the density you select. This is true even if your phone is actually compatible with it.
I used texdroider dpi worked good with jmt

I'm currently running skyraider and I was wondering how I would go about changing the font? I'm running a theme on top of it, and I like everything about it except the weight of the font.
Thanks for your help.

I am not on it currently, and never messed with font settings, but there is a bamf forum app included where you can find mods and stuff for it. That's where I found the swipe to dismiss and black dialer.

I may be wrong but I think the Font Installer app only works on AOSP rooms. At least its never worked in Sense for me.

ROM toolbox did the trick. However what didn't change was the weight on some fonts.
In the picture here, all the letters look a little thin.
Edit: it actually looks better in the screenshot than it does in person.

Find a different font through the app. I think there's like 200 or so.

Unfortunately I don't think you have much choice as far as the status bar clock goes. Its probably in an XML somewhere as a bold version of that font.
Also, awesome font, which one is it??

Oddly enough I like the way the clock looks. Its all the other type that annoys me. As for the font in the screenshot; I didn't pay attention to the name and I've since moved on from that ROM (I've got problems).

Any ideas?

have you tried paranoid android? it lets you choose what layout you want
You need to set the DPI to 160 tablet format.
Anyway to do it but keep the normal layout? As in just YouTube lol

As far as I know PA offer the possibility to change per app DPI so you can change the YouTube DPI without affecting other things.

Not sure if anyone has tried it yet, but I am a big fan of split screens in Gmail and settings. I used Xposed with the app settings apk and changed the dpi and dp and was able to get split screens. See screenshots below. Used 300-350 for the dpi and 800x1280 for the dp.

I think you are the first time to use dpi setting apps... It works on any device with any rom for long time ago, not only our G Pro. For "split screens", it depends on apps' resources supporting tablet layouts or not.

It's a great app most definitely. Love the difference from hd to full hd.

No, not my first time using dpi tweaks. But first time for app specific dpi tweaks. I was just posting this in case someone was wondering if the app settings apk in Xposed worked or not.
