Running headphones - General Accessories

What headphones u use for workouts (swimming, running, gym, etc)
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA Premium App

I've been using the Motorola rocker bluetooth headphone. It works great outdoor and indoor, but not under water. Got one for cheap from Newegg for $39
http://www.motorola.com/Consumers/U...adsets/MOTOROKR-S9-HD-Stereo-Headphones-US-EN

I'd never swim with them, but I use Klipsch S4i for running (I'd have bought S4a if they were out when I got mine). Sound great. When not running, I use Bowers & Wilkins P5's. It really all depends on budget and personal needs.

Is the p5 really that good, they are affordable and seem really nicely designed

I'd never run in them, lol. I run the West Coast warehouse for the company that handles Bowers & Wilkins US distribution, so I'm a huge B&W fan. I've got a Panorama, too. Love it.
The comfort and amazing sound quality make P5's worth $300. Fortunately for me, I didn't pay full price. You won't get deep, loud, thumping bass. It's properly rendered sound, the way the artists intended it.
I listen to multiple genres. They all sound better with P5's. Whether it's classic/alternative/rock or dubstep, I'm hearing things I never heard before in the music.

I use the commons. Phones in-ears get splited out from my ears because of the sweat.
I just need to have those who have a support for the back of the ear, to do not fall when running too fast =P

I use the Skullcandy Ink'd for workouts. They're light and comfortable but the cable does make some noise if you let it rub on things. Just run the cable from the inside of your shirt to avoid this. Plus they sounds decent audio-wise.

Rocketfish BT headphones. Great sound quality, all controls are on the left headphone, fits great and a full change last 10-12 hours. Also works with almost all music players available on android.
Available at Best Buy for $59.

The S4's are really nice, try to get the one with the buttons so you can stop and pause on the go.

I use skull candy phones for running, and Bose makes headphones for underwater. Sony, I believe sells vaccum bags for phones underwater.

i use bose noise cancelling headphones. bass is great.

My votes go to either Skullcandy or Jlab Jbuds.

for running I prefer Sennheiser CX-200 street II and Monster Beats by Dr. Dre solo. Beats are so comfortable, I love them!

Headphones

Just wondering what headphones everybody uses. I have a pair of Klipsch S4's and they sound good but they are kind of broken. I have to bend them in order to get the sound to work. I am in the market for some new ones, so I'm looking for some recommendations.
I have a pair of skull candy's (i don't remember which model but they're in-ear) and I use my Apple headphones most.

Sony professional series over the ear headphones. Most comfortable for mixing long sessions and best drivers I've heard in anything near their price range.

I really like the Shure SE 115's Sound great and block out noise.
I use skully candy headphones lol they get the job done and right now can't afford anything too expensive. Looking to get some Dre Beats soon though
I have a pair of Seinnheiser CX 500-B ear buds. They sound really nice. Good highs and excellent lows. Plus they're dirt cheap.
I have had a couple sets of V-moda headphones and my experience has been really good.

Good in-ear headphones for >$25

As you can tell im not trying to break the bank, but just want the bang for my buck want to get something to go along with the beats audio. Any recommendations?

Well the thread title says you want headphones that cost more than 25 bucks. I'm assuming you meant less than 25. There are very few earbuds that are good for such a low cost. Me, I used the one provided with the phone.
Good ear buds go for more around the 100 price range though. I recommend these http://www.klipsch.com/image-S4A-headphones
I don't own a pair but I tried my friends, man, they are pretty good.

I use smokin buds by skull candy literal every day in the gym, and my main music ranges from meek mills to ffdp and everything in between, they hold up to it all and never have blown on max volume all day. Plus there are tons of colors to choose from. $25 everywhere you go. And even cheaper most places

Although they don't go in the ear canal, the Gumy earbuds by JVC are, by far, the best sounding earbuds I've ever heard for under $25. They are almost as good as my Klipsch s4 earbuds and tend to be more comfortable since they are disc shaped and sit on the outer edge of the ear. They look similar to the Apple earbuds, but produce a much richer sound than the Apple buds.
I would rate the Klipsch s4 buds as the overall best sounding ones I own, followed closely by the JVC Gumy buds. They sound great with the Beats equalizer on my HTC Rezound. Both are better than Skullcandy FMJ earbuds and Skullcandy inkd earbuds, IMHO. Keep in mind that I listen to extreme metal and don't like too much bass in my earbuds.
Gumy earbuds are $9 at Walmart or Target. The Klipsch s4 are $80 at Worst Buy.

I'm using Meelectronics M9P, pretty good for something under $25 as well.
IMO the M9P's bass does slightly overpower the mids, and I personally find that vocals are slightly recessed as well. But it's good enough for my commuting needs
I'm using creative ep 630.
They are great, just remember to glue those ear buds to the thing itself our you're going to lose them for sure
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004S7Q8CA/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details I got those, and they are amazing for the price at around 15 pounds.
Look up soundmagic E10, on par with the s4's. Build quality not the best, but sound is brilliant for the price.

If you find it "TL;DR", skim through the your desired price range, and note down those with the highest(>8.0) Sound and Value ratings, then with your options narrowed down, read his comments on their sounds, and details like what's included in the box, build quality etc.
If you're really not in a rush, go one price-range tier higher, as you can often find them under discount such that they actually fit within your budget.

i like the one with good sound quality, good bass, very cheap, decent looking.
Was considering the Shure pro series, but my student loans said otherwise... ended up getting the ZAGG smartbudds from the people that make Invisible Shield screen protectors. The sound quality is fantastic, the buds stay in my ears, the weird 'hanging tight' cord config actually is fantastic. Best part, got them on Amazon for £25. Bargain.

Currently using either my JH Audio JH13 Pros or Westone ES3X. Some of the best IEMs you can get. If you value sound and isolation, I'd recommend even the cheapest of IEMs from westone or JHA over any earbud or earphone. There are some even cheaper IEMs from smaller companies that have gotten very good reviews on head-fi.
When I don't want wires, I use a Motorola SF600 w/Comply tips.
Awesome bluetooth earphones that support Apt-X. With the comply tips they have thundering bass and clear mids/highs that rival some mid tier and more expensive wired earphones I've tried such as my Phonak PFE122, Phiaton MS 400, and V-Moda Crossfade LP. Bass is so strong I actually have to put low freqs into the negatives in the EQ to balance it out, after which they sound incredible considering I've never thought any BT earphone/headphones sounded good.
As far as headphones, the only one I've tried and kept that could compare to the 2 IEMs listed above in terms of sound and isolation is my Beyer Dynamics DT1350, although the new Sennheiser Amperior has gotten my attention lately and costs about the same as the DT. Supposedly slightly better comfort and sound, so may try it later on.
not really a fan of the in ear types, skullcandy hesh 2
I workout a lot and love the Bose in-ears. They stay put and sound great. Not too expensive either.

Headphones!

I need headphones that will blow my ears out.AND NO BEATS.IM ON A BUDGET OF 33$!
Look through VModa, Skullcandy and various other brands. I can personally recommend almost anything from VModa.

Search for these Sony headphones on eBay, Amazon, and other etailers... MDR-EX210B and MDR-EX58V. These are great and I've used them for a couple of years already, they change the model numbers and design every now and then but the audio drivers that they use are the same and they're great. I've had Sennheisers and several of the great SkullCandy ones like the Titan series, so I vouch for these Sony earbuds. These fits your budget too
Heh. Any ol' headphones will do ya good. I got some 5-10 dollar headphones from a store not far from where I live.
If you use HTC Sense, you will have extended music enhancers. In CM, you have DSP Manager.
In all rights, it all doesn't matter, most are loud. Unless you have a low playing song.
I will look into the ideas so far but keep em' coming!
I personally used and recommend the brand Skullcandy.
Skullcandy Metal and Skullcandy 50/50 (currently own).
both with great sounds, bass. it will blow you away!
I think Sennheiser CX-300 II is a good choice for you.
It sounds balanced and its sound quality is a lot better than others of the same price.

depends what kind of music u listen too, if u want treble skull candy is a bad choice, but its base is good, dont go by brand names go by quality and the features,
check the frequency,
i own 2 headphones
skull candy smoking buds(no treble at all)
panasonic sports gear (awesome heaven)
btw if ur wondering
bass= the sound of the instruments
treble= the sound of the vocals
ok.....so i wen and view in a techmarket some headphones and i tried some and ended up buying the pioneer se-mj721 , and i have to say for not being an in-ear but on-ear they have a hell of a bass lvl. Im glad i bought em the only downside is they dont provide noise cancellation as the in-ear type!
never the less im REALY GLAD OF THEM!

No one has mentioned the jvc fx101's yet? Lol they have the most bass compared to every other headphone for under 20$.
Audiophiles highly recommend this headphones and I myself own a pair of jvc fx3x's and they blow me away. Bass is comparable and way more compared to beats. Sometimes if you stay reallt still you can feel the bass in your chest XD
I also recommend using poweramp as your player with these headphones because they bass is so immense and crazy that my volume has to be turned down.
You can find these headphones online or at future shop which is where i got them. Anyways consider the jvc's if you want equivalent and better sounding bass than beats for 1/10 the price

If you are looking at $100 headphone consider the Klipsch X10s. They originally retailed for $350 and are some of the most comfortable and best sounding in ear headphones on the market. http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-Image-X10-Noise-Isolating-Earphone/dp/B000WAHFBK They were doing a sale a while ago for $89.99 but they can still be found on ebay for $100.
If you are not wanting to spend that amount go for the Klipsch Reference S4 not the normal edition make sure it's the reference they are amazing for their cost. http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-Reference-S4i-In-Ear-Headphones/dp/B005ZNHK4Q/ref=pd_cp_e_2 still $49.99 they will destroy all in ear headphones under $100.

This is what I'm currently using and was told by several people it would support multiple phones. It does, sometimes...weird I know. The concept behind these I think is good. I personally hate bluetooth and hate earphones. These if they would work perfect the entire time I would love. I think I'm going to be taking them back to the Sprint store this week and looking in to some other options as well.
I have no problem paying the high dollar for them but only if they do everything I want.
Depends but for price the phillips she3580 or similar is a cracking match.
They share different model names but they're the same driver.

Yeah got mine the other week, great sound from the headphones, nice design to go with the phone and a compatible remote. What more do you want for 30£? :good:
My headphones are Etymotic ER-4P. (This model has been discontinued, but the ER-4PT is very similar).
My requirements for headphones are somewhat unusual. First, I'm partially deaf, which means I need high-end sound quality. There is obviously a point of diminishing returns - when the distortion/noise introduced by the phone itself is significantly greater than that introduced by the headphones; but anything less than high-end sound means I can't understand dialog in a downloaded movie or TV show. (Also, when I do listen to music, it's classical, and that is much more vulnerable to distortion than modern stuff). Second, I do a lot of listening on trains on the London Underground; shutting out as much background noise as possible is therefore a major priority.
I don't usually move around too much while listening - someone who wants to go the gym or go jogging would want a different model. And the ER-4PT is not a headset - there's no microphone, so you can't make calls with it, and there's no track-switching control. (If that's an issue then the next model down does have a headset equivalent called the HF2).
Etymotic aren't as good value now as they were when I bought mine, but sound quality is very good, and exclusion of external noise is truly superb - officially they reduce it by 35-42dB, depending on frequency. (The level of noise isolation is the same on much cheaper Etymotic models, although obviously the sound quality isn't as good).
I've got Bose AE2i and Mie2s
Works really well imo

You should go check the Headfi forum. I'm a regular poster there. One thing to note about the HTC One is that they have excellent driving capabilities thus making the use of an external amp useless unless you're trying to drive something like K701s.
To put things into perspective, they drive my 600ohm DT880s perfectly with a mild spike in volume at about the <500Hz range.
I personally like to use them with my m100s when I'm out and about.
They should drive IEMs no problem. I would even say that they're overkill for a sensitive earphone like the S4. They sound great with se215s.
Tbh the stock IEMs are suprisingly good. Great bass extension but also a considerable amount of mid-bass hump leading to some sound corrruption in the mids. Highs are lacking but for what they are I definitely would not recommend spending 100$ for IEMs like the S4 for what is in my opinion a very mild upgrade.
Just use the stock phones.
