Me too. I think it's normal. No need to worry.
Same here, get the SD Card inserted on start-up from power down.
Guess it's normal

But how do i do that? the screen itself is unresponsive
Can you get to odin mode? Use one of sfhubs GB one clicks?
That way when you plug the usb in, you wont be prompted to change mtp settings. And you'll have access to the internal storage.

i would like a script that would shutdown from a script but not immediately ( like not a battery pull) because i know off an app that does that but i don't want to do that i want a safe shutdown. if you ask why i need this and not just hold the power button then it is because when i hold down the power button i dont get the menu.........
I'll post this here as well.
Hold the power button for 8 seconds and it will turn off. Or so says the stock Task Manager.

I backed up this script a long time ago and just recently found it on my SD. It shuts down the phone
#!/system/bin/sh
reboot -p

Is there a mod like that...where I could use the home button to wake my
Phone because my power button just popped off yesterday...or know any to me that do that...I know Pacman Rom does...thanks in advance...

Thought all ROMs allowed it unless they removed it.

I think the OP meant to have the phone POWER UP using that button, instead of wake up....
If that is the case, I've never seen that, would be interesting. Should not have said "wake" OP, wake insinuates it was sleeping (screen just off) not "dead". You said that it was in the Pac Man rom where did you find it there?
You can try to change key layout. Make nandroid backup for safty and go to system/usr/kaylayout. I don't know which key is which so you would have to look around in there. I can't guarantee that this will work because I never tried that, but it should. Let us know about results.
Good luck

No I just ment wake up...cause to get to my recovery i have to use a paperclip to push in where my power button was...but yeah I ment wake up so I could still wake it up to even use my phone but im gonna check yhose files ill tell you what I find...thanks for the help guys...
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
This thread should answer your questions. Instead of removing wake make sure wake is included.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1836758
Pretty sure only a couple roms removed that, every rom I've tried wakes up with the home button. About all but 4 lol.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
If you ment just wake up I'm going to look which files and keys I have for that and I will give you names of them so you can edit them.
Update: Ok, I've checked that and it seems that key 172 in sec_keys.kl is home button. So if you would just add "WAKE" after it then you should be ok. I think that if you would also add "POWER" then it should power on or off (?) your phone. I don't know how you would be able to get to recovery then but it's interesting. Maybe phone will think that you press both buttons? xD
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
As a workaround to get into recovery without using a paperclip, you can use any of a number of apps that have a reboot to recovery option.

i dont mean to bash or be mean man and i know it can be confusing but wrong thread. ALL questions belong under Q and A
besides the obvious (wrong thread) I have the exact same issue. LGNPST keeps stopping at 67% or 85% and not working. Then my device stopped working all together. taking it to the store tomorrow.
I just unplugged my phone, let it reboot than plugged it back in and lgnpst finished up after that. It kept freezing at 85% for me.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
The 67,85% issue is a bug with the software, but it's not an issue. Your device would reboot then and everything would be peachy.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
Does your phone do anything while not plugged in? Mine when i bricked didn't. You may need to take out the battery.

Ok! Even though this is the wrong forum...again I apologize. I was able to recover lol.
Heres the story: my phone soft bricked. I had zv8 rooted using the AIO tool and unlocked bootloader using freegee app..support the devs! And was lazy lol.
A friend of mine decided it would be a fantastic idea to allow the OTA for ZV9 to install...needless to say the phone went nuts. Into "epileptic mode" as I like to call it.
The phone would not turn on..at all...unless you hooked it up to usb or AC. And even if you connected to such power options...the phone would only flash the the red notification light and the softkeys consistently over and over like a police car lol.
Even after running LGNPST. It would go back to "epileptic mode" after reboot at 67%. I found this to be annoying....since the firmware was flashing without issue.
I hopped on IRC and fiddy and shelnut2 instructed me to do a battery pull. Thank God for them lol.
I got a T5 screwdriver and a small philips, removed both screws from the bottom and then removed the back cover carefully. Once it opened I peeled back the blue clear tape covering the battery connections and removed the two screws under that (used philips). Disconnected the battery for 5 seconds then reconnected and pressed power on button and finally.....PROFIT!!!!!!
Phone booted with stock firmware from LGNPST.

While surfing a bit, suddenly the screen went black.
Pressung buttons, no reaction
Pulled the battery, tried to start, just a short flash of vague green, dead. No reaction to charging.
Pressing vol min - pwr - home makes the vague green permanent until battery is removed
See pic (taken in the dark without flash)
Never rooted. 4.1.2 latest XSE.
Last two official roms flashed with Odin.
Suggestions?

If by "Sudden death syndrome" you mean the well-known eMMC bug, then I'm not so sure, even though it looks a lot like it.
The latest firmware should be safe. The phone may crash but it shouldn't brick.

The last resort:
- remove battery, SIM, SD
- press and hold 'power' button for 30+ seconds
- forget about the phone for on hour
- try to insert the battery only and boot...
Didn't help, thanks for the suggestion....
