This has been covered for the GSM version, but I have yet to see someone confirm that this battery is legit AND has NFC. From the pics I can BARELY make out the label, but that doesn't mean it actually applies to that listing. Anyone?
Ebay:
Verizon-Samsung-Galaxy-Nexus-i515-Oem-Extended-Battery-Door
And so since i have not enough posts, i cant link directly. Can someone search that exact term above and post the link....I've been lurking forever, they should log your view time too....
Or even better, does the one Verizon sells have NFC working? I actually have no idea...
The Verizon version has working NFC on the extended battery. I use it and it works great. They are still half off too at $24.99.
P.M. me if you want one, I can order it for you from my store...

NO. You need a battery for i9250. Not i515.

hmm im not sure if this is legit or works for i9250 and truly does have the nfc antenna, but anyone willing to try or already has?

That's for the Verizon LTE i515.
true it's marked as such, but doesn't the verizon version have an 1850mah battery?

Yes, and the thing i noticed is that virtually every website that I've been on for Gnexus accessories don't clearly differentiate the GSM and the LTE version. I ordered that thing from thecellguru but it says it's for the LTE version but it has 1750mah battery... But I got it just because the battery seems right
Yea that's why I was asking, cuz it says +515 but it also said 1750.... Did anyone read the article that talked about the NFC needing to register a token, thus making swapping batteries complicated. It was on android central. They also said that the NFC chip is indeed on the battery... I still don't buy that, just can't see how that's possible

you should most definitely post on here some feedback about it please, also, see if you can somehow try testing the NFC by switching between the batteries and see if it works or not... thank you

The 1750 is a typo. I had ordered from Mobile City's web site directly a week ago and then called to confirm that it works with the GSM i9250 but was told that it is not compatible. The charger/battery kit they have is for the LTE i515.

It could be a typo, but i don't think it should be a typo on most of the reseller website :/
Anyways, I checked the part number and i'm almost positive that the one I got is 1750 mah, but we shall see

No goooo the battery is actually 1850mah, it's actually for the Galaxy S, but they just added a sticker that says it's compatible with Galaxy nexus i515 Returning this :/
I went to verizon today as the Phone date been pushed back again. But I saw the assesories. They had the battery and cradle for 40. And the extended batt and back cover for 50. Good news is the battery cover fits. The bad news is the battery normal or extended doesn't. Its the same battery that the tmobile galaxy s2 has. I know cause I have both the nexus and tmo g2. And it works for tje tmo g2

That's too bad. I had suspected that would be the case but was holding out hope that it would be the right one for the i9250. Oh well... back to waiting...
SO I suppose that is the incompatible:

Looks like the battery for Verizon/LTE i515. From what I can tell that battery is blue while the i9250's is black.
This looks a bargain (if correct)

anyone tried these badboys?
I see a lot of talk regarding the Verizon version but has anyone seen a legit extended battery for the GSM unlocked nexus? The standard battery is good but I want an extended battery just in case I ever want to use my phone for an extended period of time.

I was hoping to buy a spare battery for an ATT S3 but I have a Tmobile credit. Are all the batteries the same? What about GSM vs CDMA?
Yes they are the same. If you go for an unofficial battery make sure its NFC capable

Think one would only really HAVE to worry about that if they actually use NFC on a pretty regular basis. I've had my S3 for a couple months now, and aside from a single Google Wallet purchase just to test it out, i haven't used it.

Thank You
Thanks for the help. I use NFC on my GNex for tags to change profiles and stuff at night but have never used it for payment. I use it enough that it's worth having on my phone. I hear the Note 2 has the antenna on the battery door? That seems smarter.
Anyways thanks again for the help.
Hey, I seriously need an extended battery for my galaxy s 3 I was wondering if anyone could tell me if any stores sold the battery. I would like to purchase the battery in store not online.
also the store must be located in Canada.
or if anyone could direct me to a website that allows me to ship the battery to a store and then I could pay for the battery in store that would also be appreciated.
I also need the battery to have NFC capability.
Thank you!

Why can't you buy on-line ?
I understand having issues with postal services finding your location, but could you have it shipped to a friend/relative or open a P.O. Box ?
Honestly guys, its because i hate when i pay for something and then have to wait however long for it.
But i guess ill have to but it online
Thanks:good:

Sprint has had this deal for their GN before but it on again.
Quote from DealNews w/Coupon Code:
"Sprint offers the Samsung Extended Battery Bundle for Galaxy Nexus for $49.99. Coupon code "BATTERY1" makes it free. With $6.50 for shipping, that's the lowest total price we could find by $28. It includes a 2,100mAh lithium ion extended battery and battery door."
Sprint link here: http://shop.sprint.com/mysprint/shop/accessory/ao_details.jsp?accSKU=64800058
I tried it through the link and it didnt work but i called sprint telesales and they honored the promotion when i called 888-882-4030, they tried to sell me a bunch of other things but after declining my order total ws 7.14 for the battery

I have an International GSM GN and have used this Sprint battery in my phone without using the new back door. I am not sure about the Verizon version.
For those who are asking if this a US specific deal. The answer is yes, this is only for US. I am not a Sprint customer but I was still able to order online from them.
Thanks for the link. mine comes on Thursday. But I have a bunch of cases will any of then work or an I f*****?

Yes it will, but it will have a sprint logo on the back cover.

Just ordered this, thought I couldn't before but you can in fact just make an account without being a Sprint customer.
Got the battery for $6.50 which was just the shipping price.
In Google Chrome for the Windows, the buy now key link was dead, so I had to do it in Internet Explorer.
I even got an annoying chat window from a sprint representative asking if I needed help ordering or if I wanted to start a Sprint contract. I'll post again once I receive the battery.
Anyone know if this will fit the gsm variants of the nexus?
