Spare battery with cradle charger and NFC on ebay - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

hmm im not sure if this is legit or works for i9250 and truly does have the nfc antenna, but anyone willing to try or already has?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Gal...s=63&clkid=4692892145517066973#ht_3417wt_1139

That's for the Verizon LTE i515.

true it's marked as such, but doesn't the verizon version have an 1850mah battery?

Yes, and the thing i noticed is that virtually every website that I've been on for Gnexus accessories don't clearly differentiate the GSM and the LTE version. I ordered that thing from thecellguru but it says it's for the LTE version but it has 1750mah battery... But I got it just because the battery seems right

Yea that's why I was asking, cuz it says +515 but it also said 1750.... Did anyone read the article that talked about the NFC needing to register a token, thus making swapping batteries complicated. It was on android central. They also said that the NFC chip is indeed on the battery... I still don't buy that, just can't see how that's possible

you should most definitely post on here some feedback about it please, also, see if you can somehow try testing the NFC by switching between the batteries and see if it works or not... thank you

The 1750 is a typo. I had ordered from Mobile City's web site directly a week ago and then called to confirm that it works with the GSM i9250 but was told that it is not compatible. The charger/battery kit they have is for the LTE i515.

It could be a typo, but i don't think it should be a typo on most of the reseller website :/
Anyways, I checked the part number and i'm almost positive that the one I got is 1750 mah, but we shall see

No goooo the battery is actually 1850mah, it's actually for the Galaxy S, but they just added a sticker that says it's compatible with Galaxy nexus i515 Returning this :/

I went to verizon today as the Phone date been pushed back again. But I saw the assesories. They had the battery and cradle for 40. And the extended batt and back cover for 50. Good news is the battery cover fits. The bad news is the battery normal or extended doesn't. Its the same battery that the tmobile galaxy s2 has. I know cause I have both the nexus and tmo g2. And it works for tje tmo g2

That's too bad. I had suspected that would be the case but was holding out hope that it would be the right one for the i9250. Oh well... back to waiting...

SO I suppose that is the incompatible:

Looks like the battery for Verizon/LTE i515. From what I can tell that battery is blue while the i9250's is black.

This looks a bargain (if correct)

Definitely not worth $5 lol. It reduces the resell value of the phone.
Not to mention the GSM box looks SO much better than the Verizon box.
Verizon box is just lame, it's pure white then red. Not sure what they were thinking.
I could be mistaken, and I am sorry if I am, but I can't help but think something fishy is going on here...
How would having a GSM box help you play a joke on a friend? Is yours GSM? If so, why not just use your own box? If you have the VZW version, how would having the GSM box benefit you in any way?
Be nice to your friend and don't give him an empty box. At least put a G1 in there.

I have the VZW version of the Gnex and his carrier is T-Mobile and the GSM version would work for his carrier. I'm not going to give him an empty box I have everything planned out I just need the box for the last piece of the puzzle. I you are willing to sell me the box PM with an offer.

I agree. This sounds incredibly suspect. OP what exactly is your "plan". Up to this point, you've been extremely vague about it. So tell us specifically what your plan is because honestly at this point what you're saying doesn't quite sound right. Almost sounds like you're trying to get an IMEI.
Or try to sell his vzw as a gsm... hmm..

My best friend for lack of a better word is envious of the fact that I have the GNex and he doesn't. As of I envious of him because he has Skyrim and I do not, I spent all my money on the phone and a trip to New York for my fathers birthday, so I could not purchase the game. And for Christmas he got an empty Skyrim box... and as return I plan to give him a fake GNex that my grandfather made out of wood. I got his mother to be in on it as well and before he opens the actual box he mom says something along the lines of we already have it activated.
And as for selling a VZW as a GSM well that doesn't even really make sense, because then I wouldn't have my wonderful phone. Plus it would probably end up in a lawsuit with my luck.

Want to confirm that Extended Battery is Legit [CDMA]

This has been covered for the GSM version, but I have yet to see someone confirm that this battery is legit AND has NFC. From the pics I can BARELY make out the label, but that doesn't mean it actually applies to that listing. Anyone?
Ebay:
Verizon-Samsung-Galaxy-Nexus-i515-Oem-Extended-Battery-Door
And so since i have not enough posts, i cant link directly. Can someone search that exact term above and post the link....I've been lurking forever, they should log your view time too....
Or even better, does the one Verizon sells have NFC working? I actually have no idea...
The Verizon version has working NFC on the extended battery. I use it and it works great. They are still half off too at $24.99.
P.M. me if you want one, I can order it for you from my store...

Accidentally bought CDMA instead of GSM...

Yes I'm an idiot, I know. I bought it off eBay and realized too late.Question is, can I pay a lab to mod it for me or something? It's a Verizon. I heard it has a microSIM slot that's almost sealed shut but still existing. So it would probably just require reprogramming the frequencies. And I'll handle unscrewing the slot and inserting my SIM. Is this possible?

Worse case scenario you can sell it. The good thing is it is a very desirable phone. The sim also is completely removable. Your thinking of the sprint version which has the weird sim situation.
