[Q] Add apps to lockscreen - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I have an unlocked, rooted CDMA nexus (no custom rom, it is stock.)
On the unlock screen, one can reach the Camera App and the Unlock app. Is there a way to add additional apps (e.g. SMS) to this unlock screen with the stock ROM?
I searched the forum and saw info for WidgetLocker and Ripplelock but neither of those are what I'm looking for.
Can someone tell me whether this is possible with the stock ROM? If so, how. If not, are there other app solutions I can review?
Thanks in advance.

No, it is not possible. Widgetlocker will give you the exact same ICS lockscreen but allow you to do it.. I'm not sure why you ruled it out

You cab access the drop down menu from the lock screen and respond to SMS via that way

[Q] custom lockscreen wallpapers/pics for MYN's WARM 2.2 rom for evo?

Hello. I'm sorry if this has been covered but I couldnt find anything. I've found boot animations but nothing for a custom lockscreen wallpaper. So is there a way to customize the lockscreen wallpaper when the screen is locked? Like the MIUI ROM?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
As for built in on sense, not that I know of. If you want that feature, look into the widget locker app.
Doesn't it give you the option to apply a picture as a lockscreen wallpaper or normal wallpaper? I could be confusing this with MIUI, but I thought Sense 3.0 did it as well.
You both right.

I don't see this option in my menus. But thank you for the input.

Can a set a separate wallpaper on the lock screen?

Hello
The title says it all. Rooted phone running stock 4.2.1 ... Without switching to CM10 or another Rom, is there any way to set a separate wallpaper to the lock screen then the actual phone wallpaper?
Thanks

Not that I'm aware of...
You can if you use an app like widgetlocker (and probably other lockscreen apps).
I think the only way you get two different wallpapers is to flash a custom rom :/

Hide initial page hints lockscreen?

Hey so another question from me
I'm running a close to stock rom (Purity) and I remember when I was on xylon, there was a feature to turn off those initial page hints when you wake up the device.
In purity, there is no option like that. I was wondering, is there any manual way of modding this? Editing some file?
Like how we can manually change carrier label: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1570956
Is there a way we can manually turn off page hints so that I don't need to change my rom just for that feature?
Thank you xda

Change stock LG lockscreen?

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to somehow change the stock lockscreen? I really want the lockscreen from cm, but as I understand it it only possible to change actual lockscreens from Android 4.2 and up.... Is there some way to replace it on stock rom anyway though?

Of course it is. Even without root, there are some apps like Widgetlocker or GO Locker, and also when You install some custom launcher like MIUI You get their lockscreen.

For me widgetlocker works best of all.

Thanks for that, ive tried those kind of apps. But they dont actually replace the lg lock screen, but seem to override it instead. I specifically want to change to the cm lockscreen, since it is my absolute favorite:

Something like this, but it is not possible to change unless your on android 4.2 or higher....
If i'm not mistaken, ROM prior to 4.2 can't have widget in the lock screen.
unless you flash it to 4.2, you won't get the same feature.
Try this new app, i am sure you will love it

AOSP style lockscreen shortcuts

Hi all,
I really like the stock lock screen, mostly because of the clock but I dont like the way I have to drag shortcuts to unlock the phone to that app. It's there a way to mod the stock lock screen so I can slide the lock icon in a specific direction to unlock a specific app, like AOSP? Thanks
