Hi all,
I really like the stock lock screen, mostly because of the clock but I dont like the way I have to drag shortcuts to unlock the phone to that app. It's there a way to mod the stock lock screen so I can slide the lock icon in a specific direction to unlock a specific app, like AOSP? Thanks

I like how with the Touchwiz lock screen you can slide the button to open a new text message, but it seems kind of limited. What if instead of just sliding down for a text and up for unlock, you could also slide right for a new GMail message and left to toggle sound on and off like the vanilla lock screen? Is anyone else interested in something like this?
I am but I would want it to look more like the vanilla lock screen then touchwiz

If you're looking to make one, I'd absolutely give it a try. I currently use widget locker but I'm guessing something that's more native (aka not an app) would work much better.
Yea it would

I actually like this ideal. But I'd like if you could make the text notification on the lock screen word with Handcent because I don't use the stock messaging app

i wholly agreed
I've been thinking about this for a while. It would be great if it could be done. Vanilla lock screen would be great, but touchwiz would be acceptable as well. Props to anyone who figures it out!
I want to be able to put widgets on the "locked" screen, so I just have to press the "home" button for a quick look at all my info display on my widgets and don't have to unlock and scroll to my widget screen. Anyone have info on how to do that?
there are apps for that like : http://www.appbrain.com/app/widgetlocker-lockscreen/com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker and there is a free one but I don't remember the name
+1 for widget locker works great for me.

Don't quite get what you're asking.
You can extend any lock screen widget by holding and dragging it down, is this what you mean?

Sounds like you need a custom rom.
Pretty sure you need a ROM like AOSPA (Paranoid Android) where you can change the lockscreen and/or DashClock widget DPI.
For example on my lockscreen I have my DashClock widget set to 200dpi which is easy enough to read and have in fullscreen mode without overlapping or disappearing due to the pin lock which is set at 250dpi
I'm currently using Nova on my Galaxy, and I'd like to know how I could remove the alarm clock info, the taskbar(if could make it transparent that would be fine also), the T-Mobile text (it doesn't show in the picture, but it's there), and the way when I pull down it shows that useless box/outline. I'd prefer to keep Nova as well. I don't want anything on my lock screen.

Are you rooted?

Nova doesn't control the lockscreen at all, look in the system settings for lockscreen options. And if your ROM supports transparent notification's bar then under Nova settings (May be a Nova Prime only feature) there should be an option for transparent notification bar support.
Yes, I'm rooted.

There's no in system lock screen option to make it transparent, or at least I can't find it. In nova there is, but it only makes it transparent in the home screen, not lock screen.

PLEASE tell me how did you delete that clock widget? What happened after you deleted that widget? Were you forced to use another widget or do you just have the 5 shortcuts at the bottom of the Lock screen? I really want to have just the 5 shortcuts at the bottom of the Lock screen

When on the lock screen if you slide your finger down like you were going to pull the status bar down the clock widget should spin the whole screen...then is you hold down on it you should be able to remove it like you would an app of your home screen

I've just tried that mate..I moved the widget into the waste basket but it forces me to use another widget..
Could I have a look at your lock screen?
Remove every single widget on your lockscreen, until you see the screen + ONLY. Do not add anything, just press the back button and lock the screen then turn it back on again and you should see your circle widget!
Does anyone know how to get the stock lock screen clock back?!
