Personally i think is decent but not as good as Launcher Pro. It has some nice 3D effects but after a while that the only thing. I try it but i when back to launcher pro shortly.
That is my opinion
More of a novelty then anything. Functionality is given up for looks

i think it's great. I really like it. As much as I like it I don't think it's worth $15 bucks. You can purchase it, try it out, and if you don't like it refund it.
My previous launcher was ics launcher in case you'd like a free alternative.
Personally the launcher great as it is but the idea of SPB shell was functionality but that after the tons of updates the app gets. As it is on the WinMo its the most feature rich launcher and it will take time for our android version to reach the functionality the WinMo version had. I recommend to keep a eye on it for when it reaches it full potential $15 would be a steal, at the moment its just its beginning stage with SPB using the money to support the launcher.
I used it for a while. It was okay, but not worth the price. I now use go launcher instead.
I have it and dont use it. I just wont give any launcher a chance until it has the ability to hide apps in the drawer. I dont need to see adobe flash/reader and adfree etc in there non stop. It also eats battery relentlessly.
The app drawer is just a list of all installed applications, why would you want to hide some? Are you using the app drawer to run your apps then? If so, why not make some folders instead on your homescreens? You can group the apps you want to use into folders (games, apps, system, etc), only putting in the ones you want. Spb shell has nice folders, or you could use simi folder widget, etc instead.
I use it with cm7 rom and its great....I tryed all the launchers..and this one is really awesome

Saw that a few weeks ago and i cant wait!
I discovered a launcher called Claystone thats 3d, and has some good customization, as well as themes!
I use it. In fact i have been using them since win 6.5 days. Which is where most people that use it come from i would bet.
Its freaking awesome , and i no know of no other launcher that gives you the ability to add screens more than the reg 5. i have 16 lol. i also use it with go-launcher ,go-sms go-contacts etc. Which makes it kind of a hybrid but none the less its worth the 15 bucks to me. i also can ti my settings and move them from one device to another. I even have the same stuff on my flyer. So all my crap is there in the same place no matter what device i pick up for the day. Its hard really to beat that.
And yes i have played with every launcher out there. I like a few of them i just like this one more. As far as battery drain i haven't seen any difference between this one and others.

For those who did not noticed, SPB shell 3d is released.
See https://market.android.com/details?id=com.spb.shell3d
Did not tested it myself as I was to late to enter the beta testing. Who did and thinks it's an improvement and worth the amount of money (USD$ 14,95 or €10,53) you have to pay for it?
It's a cool home replacement, but is really lacking in features at the moment, simple things even like landscape mode. Also the app drawer is a bit buggy. I don't know what everyone complains about, 15 bucks is nothing, its dinner for a night, or a pack of cigarettes somewhere. So 15 bucks still isn't a huge amount to really drop on an app. Visually tho it looks really nice and smooth.
I love the way you think. My mom wont even buy us dinner for fifteen bucks when its not even that much money.

15 bucks iz way too much for a home replacement,....yes $15 might be dinner for a nite, but thats dinner, its an app....... i tried it, it looks cool, just not customizable enough for me....with that price tag it has to be PERFECT!!!
I have managed to obtain this app. I will try it and get back to you guys.
EDIT: App drawer lags. Honestly I think it's not for me because I'm more of a minimalist guy, and this launcher has like 3-8 homescreens full of random stuff like Travel and Time and Tools and Pictures and Calendar. For those who likes tonnes of **** on their homescreens this would work fine. The novelty of the 3d effect quickly wears off. You have to press a button to make it go into "3d" mode, and then you can navigate around ur homescreens in a 3d way. Normally when you swipe left or right there is no 3D effect. Well, there is, but it is minimal compared to when you press the button that launches the 3D navigation.
All in all, I'm still sticking with ADW EX.
TL;DR version. It is definately not worth $15. Even if it was priced the same as ADW EX or Launcher Pro Plus, I'd get ADW EX.
I tried it, I love it but I refuse to actually pay 15 bucks for it

Lacking in features and a buggy app drawer? That doesn't sound like its worth 15 bucks to me!
I have it and like it, like the SMS widget for sure. It's more eye candy than anything, though.
It's not worth 15 bucks. Unless your not low on money. I have it, I like it, but it uses up a LOT Of ram, i mean like 30-50mb.. and the scrolling has no resistance... and not enough customizing yet
It's a nice launcher. but hope that it will support live wallpaper in the future.
Did a whole second page of flame just get vapourized?
They were pretty good back on Windows Mobile (have alway been pricey as hell) but they have a lot to learn about Android... so not worth the price

Illegally tried it, pretty much hated it. I can't stand not being able to place Widgets and icons where I like, and there's not enough 3d Widgets altogether.

Yall have broke your damn think-sponges if you pay $15 for a home replacement... I can see $3 for ADWex but... $15?!?!? Wow!
It's definitely lacking features right now... $15 is way too much for a home replacement, especially one that isn't clearly superior to all other launchers. I bought it and am deciding on whether I will keep it or not. Not being able to customize every little thing is not a big deal for me, I just want it to look nice and run smooth, which it does very well. I like the messaging and gallery widgets, as well as weather and all the rest. Everything runs smooth. I just think it's more of a gimmick than anything; they're trying to sell the "3D" aspect of it, which is not really all that impressive at all. I mean it's the same thing we saw on Windows Mobile, nothing new here.
I think this post just convinced me to uninstall.
i tried this launcher too, the illegal way, got to work too without it saying you need to buy it from market place, but its just horrible, its absolute rubbish, it aint worth the money
I bought it and I like it, but I agree with the comments that it's not ready for prime time - yet.
I had an HTC Touch (Windows Mobile) before the Android revolution, and back then, you could entertain yourself with the shell itself. Now we have good apps, so the shell just needs to get out of the way...
The thing I like most is how smooth the app launcher is. The thing I like least is the lack of widgets, lack of landscape mode, and especially that the 'special animations' only appear when you put the shell in rotate/demo mode.

I agree 100%.
I came directly from an HTC TouchPro2 with SPB and absolutely loved it. It changed my opinion of WinMo up until the Tmo G2 dropped. ADW and LauncherPro have done amazing jobs as far as replacements go.
However the 'old' SPB 3.5 and the themes, skins, etc. that followed it - excuse me for saying this so feel free to flame away - SPB 3.5 poops-upon what is currently out for android. Until the devs get the hang of the SPB interface in android, and friggin release the darn UI OEM only tool..It will just be a pretty piece of eye-candy.
Yes I paid for it. I have paid a total of 25$ for my apps for my phone..and I got all the shiny toys on my G2. Pimp'd to the maxx.
And how many of you suckers pay $60 habitually for video games that do the same thing...over, and over, and over. Duh...
I'm just say'n.
How do yall feel about SPB Shell 3D? I think It's going to be better then adw and LPP put together. It's priced at $14 tho which is crazy!
I want to know who is using this already and who's not. I want to purchase it but I want some incite on this bad boy first. So tell me (if u use it) what do you like about it.
Thanks....

That's kinda how I felt. I downloaded with 4share and played with it before uninstallin after 5 mins and deleted the apk off of the SD (that's how I do before I make a purchase if they don't have a trial or demo). I feel its early for it but dammit in s few months It's going to take ove'!

Yeah, I downloaded it, backed it up with Titanium and uninstalled it for the refund and restored from Titanium in case I wanted to use it longer than 15min to decide whether or not to purchase.
For $5 it would be a home run. For $15, better make me a sammich.
I didnt like SPB Shell 3D much, seems like a memory hog. I just got Regina Launcher, it seems pretty cool but not for me. Back to Launcher Pro again.
I tried to get on the beta for this back when I had my vibrant. Personally I like it. I guess it's something different. The $15 tag is a bit hard to swallow though.
I checked it out. Looks cool. But no demoware/trial. Fifteen bucks is hard to swallow with what a 15min return period.. I'll stick with GO Launcher for now.

I currently use it and I like it but I really wish I didn't pay 15 bucks for it. It beter smd with a new update or I will be dissapointed. I figured that it's so new it still will advance with future updates because in the couple weeks I've had it, its updated about 3 times. I think for 5 bucks it would be great but I can't help but feel that I wasted 15 bucks on a launcher, till I get a 3d phone that can actually take advantage of the 3d capabilities. In conclusion, I would wait for a price drop or something because it's nice but not worth 15 bucks.

Wouldn't it have to have been designed with autostereoscopy in mind in order for it to be 3D on the upcoming 3D phones? Considering there are no phones with this capability out right now, I doubt that they incorporated the 3D technology needed into the software now. Even with the Evo 3D, it would look exactly as it does on your phone now.
Anyone that knows more about this can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

few other things i noticed:
-only default theme is available (not surprised here)
-very VERY smooth with neat animations
-takes a little to get used to (i keep tying to swipe left and right on the main launcher screen to change screens - that's not the case anymore)
-for the weather it says i'm in a city 20 minutes away
-hitting menu brings up: add, manage apps wallpaper, themes, tsf homepage (brings up browser), and system settings
-cool animations, kinda like what one would expect in golauncher
-after downloading new app, the app shows fire on it like advertised - however, the fire doesn't animate while in the launcher unless you switch screens. not too worried about this lol.
-doesn't look exactly like the one on the video they provided months ago. not a good or bad thing as the changes are only minor.
-giant button at bottom right is cutting off one the bottom-left-most app. can't see the whole thing.
kinda like spb shell (from what i've read), there aren't many settings like other launchers.
Well I couldnt hold back, I bought it for the 15 min refund time and well, I refunded it. It was extremely smooth. Loved the animations, hated the price. Way too much for something that doesnt give you a lite version to get used to before making the leap.

There isn't enough flashy effects or options that would ever have me drop $15+ on a launcher. To each their own. Most free or low priced launchers are plenty smooth with all the options I need or want.

unfortunately this is a terrible launcher.
It's unintuitive
Features that one might look for aren't there.
Memory hog
this are some of the falling points of the launcher, but that doesn't make it bad enough.
There is no free version of this launcher, no way to give it a test drive before you get down and dirty with it.
You MUST drop over 17 dollars on it!
WOAH!
Hold the phone a minute.
Seventeen dollars for a launcher, a homescreen.
What does it do for these 17 dollars of mine?
It launches other apps.
What else?
That's about it.
Well does it at least have some sort of cool effect that shows you're using a powerful phone capable of handling an app that costs seventeen bucks?
No. It has very simple graphics.
Why does it cost so much then?
Eh. Why not?
Bottom line:
Crappy app not worth the money.

Been playing this for last couple of days non stop. I wish there were notifications though. Really annoying that I have to keep opening the app to see if it's my turn yet...

Agreed, though I'm sure they're going to add this given the iphone version has notifications.

Yeah, this game has blown up in the past few weeks. However, it's BUILT LIKE $HIT. No notifications, no chat, a few other bugs as well. Hopefully they'll keep updating. The last update finally added the ability to delete games.
Yeah the Android version is definitely lacking polish. But it's playable

lol my Fiance and I are addicted to this game and she just actually said she want to get a stylus for the Epic touch....
Been using this to kill time at work lol. Anyone have a good stylus recommendation?
Picked up a cheap $10 Siig stylus at Fry's, works great. The tip on it is thinner than most, which is exactly what I was looking for.

Does it work well? I'm looking to buy myself one too, for the same reason lol.
Just that it gets kind of difficult to draw curtain things, and I have a stylus but the tip is kind of thick which isn't much of help.
