Hi got an issue with a fine line under my dock controls on my galaxy Nexus.
Also when I press the home or back button it kinda highlights it.
Running stock software so not sure what it is. Will see if can get screen shot

Since honeycomb came out, I have always liked the way the bottom bar worked. So now that ICS is open source, it should be possible to put that bar onto the GN.
Is anybody else interested in it or would it look good? Is there anyone working on it? I can't find anything in the development section.

Cyanogenmod included that in 7. So I imagine there's a good chance it'll be in 9.
Try booting 7 on a virtual machine to look for yourself.
That just moved the notification bar I thought? It worked the same for me, just that it was at the bottom.
I was hoping to have the pop up notifications and the settings etc., then the soft buttons in the left corner..

Just an update to this, it's kind of like what is in the maguro aokp build, where the long press on the settings button gives those options..
Can this be brought to the bottom of the screen like on a tablet? But not just moving the notification bar.. I mean actually having the action bar like on a tablet screen?

Can I us power button as a camera button I'm running aokp maguro b36

Yes you can.
Open the Camera app and click the settings button twice and turn "Power Shutter" on.
I tried that and the feature is not working on my phone.

Same here, just deal with it.
After changing the setting, exit the app and reopen it.
I also noticed you can't hold the button down for too long or the power menu pops up. Just press it once.
Shut your face you deal with yourself

Lol, I'm not the one complaining about a camera button replacement.

I was just asking why. Why do you come in Q%A to read it then. Get a life go get a iPhone that's were you belong.

Big words from someone that can't differentiate where from were. Stop worrying about a camera button, go read up on what you missed in middle school instead.

re: camera with power button
Got my Lumia 900 today and although the build quality is pretty great, the buttons on the side of the device are a bit loose and cause a little rattle. Anyone else notice this? If you tap the phone, you can hear a little rattle as well because of the buttons.

Hello, I've got my nexus running xenon-hd and I've used the Rom settings to restore the traditional button arrangement I had on my captivate as you can see in the screen shot. My question is, with a menu button and search button now, is there a way to get rid of the three doors that appear on gapps like here in the messaging?
On jelly bean on my galaxy s 1, they weren't there because the phone has physical buttons. Not really a big deal, just curious. Thanks

I don't think it uploaded the picture correctly, trying again.
Nope, no dice, will try from my computer later, but for reference I mean this http://img.tapatalk.com/5224c050-7b59-f27b.jpg
Of course this isn't my phone, I have "menu, home, back, search" as the soft keys. But the three dots beside the attach icon are what I'm asking about removing

there's something wrong with your phone? i see no difference. that's the whole point of having software keys. are you sure you're not complaining about the "highlight" animation, that appears to "lag"?
Idk its just harder to press than normal I had 4 other nexus and it wasn't haveing these problems

Hi I currently own a galaxy nexus and I'm really missing my gs2. I am looking to get a gs3 and when I went to the mobile store I noticed that when pressing the home button from any open app there was a slight lag to get to home screen. Is this just normal for this phone or is the display model borked? I've own the gs2 and SBS and home screen button never was that slow at returning to the home screen. Any input would be nice before I purchase this phone.

Deactivate double pressing to launch svoice and wont be any lag.

It's in S-Voice settings.
Oh SK its how the sgs2 was? Nice. Then I am getting it for sure. Been keeping up with the threads here and not much negative stuff . The gnex is nice but the volume is too low and WiFi and connectivity issues are killing the pure android experience. Updates aren't worth dealing with that. Even with custom Roms there are issues.
