Hi, I've checked around the forum a bit and also around the net, and I don't quite manage to find any information about the state of development of CM9 for Desire HD.Any news about it? They don't seem to have updated anything from their official page since des 2nd.

That is not fully CM9...only few parts have been used...It will take a while to see a fully functional CM9 for Desire HD

as i said they are porting the latest from CM9, not the full

Progress is ongoing but I believe the issues that are stopping the camera in current porting attempts (lack of the required proprietary files) are holding things up.

Helped to me. I give you a Thanks cos you havn't got any

Alot of people are waiting for CM9, but you just gotta be patient and wait for any official releases. Asking for ETAs is pointless as you won't get an answer. It'll be ready when it's ready.

Yes it's in development, but is there any newer statements about the progress or something else? I'm interested, too.
The newest I've read is that dhd becomes cm9 support but without any comment about how long they will need for a stable build.

My point exactly, though I don't really mind when they finish with it. I bet they will release it when it's perfectly ready, though it would be nice to have some official news about the specific version for our DHD.

i think february should be the release date

fixed the broken link
Cm7 won't be hard at all after kernel source and root. We need the kernel source first. Also a port won't work, you will have to port it everytime with new releases. We will need cm compiled from source and then submit it so it gets the nightlies. I can do the porting just fine for you guys but it won't be stable or supported. Good things comes to those who wait man

Official CM7/CM9

Hey, guys. I want all of us to combine and to write to the CM developers and to want official CM7 or CM9 support for our device. How do you think?
I agree with your initiative but, are they not already working on this?
If you read through this forum, you will know what is going on with developments.
Do not contact Cyanogenmod, as CM 7 is not supported by them yet for this phone, and CM 9 is being worked on again unofficially.
Read the post in CM 7 thread by Alquez the Dev, he does not want Cyanogen to be contacted.
Sent via Tapatalk
Yes, I know.. But I think that official is better than unofficial
Yes, but our Dev has specifically requested that nobody contacts Cyanogen other than himself, this way he gets to offer them a full working ROM that he is happy with.

Agreed! Read the cm7 thread.
Don't spam the cyanogen mod team it will just annoy them.
Imagine how many requests they get from people that want official support.
Just be patient and let alquez continue his good work.

I like that... how can I agree to that?
Alquez will get official support when he is happy with his rom, as said above... He also asked that noone contacts them, so just sit and wait, just like untill now, as you see he is releasing nightly builds, and about cm9 it is being worked on, and it's not even unofficial so don't expect official soon ...
Very misleading topic line. You might want to change it as it looks like an announcement of an official release.
I don't support this. Wait for Alquez is my opinion.

It is in development, you obviously need to wait.
Its not going to pop out from your phone will it?
Just have little patience, we're close. CM9 (ICS) should be released soon.
ICS/CM9 is developing by only one person - gladiac/modpunk. The problem is that he is probably the only of several peoples on WFS thread, who really knows much about porting and stuff. But he is having problems with enabling hardware acceleration. I think people can help by asking developers form other threads how they "hacked" HA and posting answeres in development thread.
The whole WFSDEV team is trying to port CM9 to our phone. Check out the official site.

SO FEW people are working on it, because we are a small community!! Jheesus man, stop demanding and learn the means to port it yourself if you have the time.
We need more devs, so ask for more devs instead of changelogs. THAT's the way forward.

Team,
Still how many days I should wait for ICS ROM, please build it very fast..
Build a rom is not so easy.
Built a rom from basics is kore difficult.
Build a rom in another, not tested android version is most difficult.
We, wfsdev team, work very fast at the rom, but please be patient.

Lets give a big thanks to Sandvold for the HTC desire ICS rom

Just a big thanks you to Sandvold for all the hard work in developing the ICS Rom for the HTC desire.
Have been following and updating roms for this since it started and now say that it has almost moved for becoming a beta to and alpha mod.
In my opinion anyway lol as I am very happy with my phone now.
Cheers Sandvold

Only sandvold?
You can't only thank Sandvold... he's not the only one responsible for ICS on the Desire... There are also other developers with their own ROMs, and other's who contributed (not just speaking about his ROM).. off the top of my head:
Sandvold
Texasice
Evervolv
K900
dk_zero-cool
samuaz
drewis
and I'm sure there's more. He even lists names on his thread,,
Nothing can piss off someone more than not giving them credit for their work. Sure - Sandvold deserves it, but so do the others, so make sure to share the fun around.

I have to side with Flinny on this one. He and his team are the ones that ported the 3.x kernel to vision (which is AMAZING stuff, seriously porting this kernel is crazy mayan stuff), and pretty much did all the porting work. And on top of that, they're doing everything in the open at github! I wouldn't have a problem if you just build their repo and post a rom, but the final part of the OP is specifically geared towards donations, which is a big no-go in this case since the real credit and respect should go to the Andromadus team.
* just saw it's removed, so problem solved I guess?
Anyway, just my 2¢

It's a real shame about what's happened.. I guess you could just remove the download link for now?
Cmon guys, don't be so jealous and childish from eachother.
I mean, Android is all about Open Source (sort of) and xda-developers is meant to push that open sourcyness even further to a whole new level. It doesn't matter who created the first bootable rom or stuff like that, you should all be working together and use eachothers knowledge to make a stable rom where everytrhing works. You guys forget that no one own the sourcecode but Google, so unless he literally steal the ROM from you, you don't have to complain that much.
The OP says clearly that he built it from SOURCE. So he did his work and did his best to pleas us.
This reminds me of the Apple vs Samsung thing, where samsung isn't the owner of Android but they get sued because Samsung has the best selling Android based smartphones while this future is present on all other android devices.
