Just wanna say did a nandroid, superwipe, installed and waited 15 mins. No problems outside of the known (Orientation Switch ftw).
Its super smooth, battery life is similar to TDJs ROMs and i love chrome beta. Raver did a great job.

You know what? I did that, and it's actually what led me to ask the question. I tried IgCamera and QuickSnap, but neither worked. I believe you're right about there likely not being one. Not only is the current camera normally functional, but the issue we're having with our "beta" ICS is certainly not anticipated by developers of this kind of app.
I am not omniscient, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask in Q&A.

You are the man (or woman...)! That pretty much makes this ROM complete for me (at least until the final community releases)
I wonder if there's any chance of one of the first posts being modified to include a list of known bugs and workarounds/fixes?
Edit: Video still won't record, but I'll at least have the still camera. If no one else has, I'll see if I can get some logcats linked on the Dev thread.

As you all know, the gallery is a little screwed up. I found a nice replacement for free in the Google Play Store. It's called QuickPic.

This rom is pretty freaking great. can't really judge battery since I've only had it since about 6 this morning but super smooth and no big issues.
Thanks for camera zoom that works perfect. dont have the gallery problem so far. so you rock.

I've have the issue, tried clearing all cache and fixing permission to no avail. I'm sure it's happening for the same reason the camera is having the issues. It's due to the kernel. I'm sure there us a 3rd party app we can get, so no biggie.

turns crap earbuds into sex.
although, I can't seem to find the DSP effects.
What would be the best way to flash this rom? Should I use superwipe? How many times? I've heard some people have to flash several times. And I also saw somewhere that it wipes all the data on your internal and external storage. This can't be true.

i hacked in the eq effects from the htc resound how is this diffrent from the htc resound crap hack that was posted earlier?
Because i did it from there Ics and the htc source

[1] Made TB of all apps
[2] Rebooted in CWR
[3] Nandroid backup
[4] Wipe Data Factory reset
[5] Wipe Dalvik Cache
[6] Flashed samsung_ultimate_kernel_cleaning_script_by_lippol9 4

yeah im a bit confused about this also.
where is the dsp Eq? is it not an app anymore?
is it built into a specific player, or do they work with any app's built in eq?
Hey all,
I've been running the "oid" emulators for years with no issue. Here I am with my awsome new Note 2, the baddest machine in the land, and I'm having issues when running those emulators which worked fine on my G Nexus, and even on my old droid X.
Snesoid comes up and starts working fine, but then (in Super Mario World, for example) all the colors will go wonky, like looking at photo negatives. Or the controls stop working. I've tried tweaking all the video settings, but nothing makes a difference.
Anybody have any ideas? Could it be related to the ROM I'm running?

Thanks for checking. I too am running mack's rom (no mods). I am running on US Cellular though, but that shouldn't be making a difference. I saw elseware that clearing data may help, have done that but not tested yet (pesky work). It could be the game Rom, but as mentioned I've had it for years without issue on other phones, so I don't see how that could be a problem. Would you mind sharing where you source your game roms from?

Must be karma... I re-flashed my rom before leaving the house and I still had the snesoid and that rom on my external card. I went to play them... and same problem as you I wonder what's causing that to happen?
Is working on my Note. I'm running an older version of Snesoid. Can't find the new version. If some wants to PM me the new version I'll be happy to test it

It's weird that it was working one play and then not the next. I just did the upgrade to his 4.0 last night, I'll try messing with it today.

It takes a few minutes of play before it happens. Did you run through an entire stage when you first tested it?
(edit) I installed one of the other emulators, and am not seeing the issue yet....looks like it might be snesoid itself, which makes me sad.
So just on the next morning to the exciting night, Google released N5 with KitKat,
we have nearly every app available to use on our GNex..

Am I the only one that can't add more pages to the homescreen? I've tried dragging icons and widgets to the right, but seems like I'm limited to the one main page and the google now section to the left.

i totally agree with you, every feature google is giving out with 4.4 is way before developed by devs here , and yes they will continue the development even further 4.4 , so we do not at all need to mind about googles decision...

Strange, on my phone, after installer a couple of kitkat apps (google services, hangout, camera, keep, search, clock) there is no more "contacts" nor "phone calls" (the dialler) to be seen in my apps panel. Can't call anybody anymore :/
and hangout is always slow as hell to launch and work with (tends to kind of "freeze" on an empty screen page while loading / waiting for god knows what). Was used to this lagggggy UI with hangout, but it can't be so sluggish for SMS.

Try greenify from the play store. Your phone might be running out of memory or over loading the CPU. I don't have a single problem. The hangout app actually works faster than the SMS app for me!
Really weird that the phone and contacts apps disappeared though. Something went wrong somewhere. If you don't want to wipe then you can probably dirty flash your ROM to get them back.

No. It doesn't work yet. It FC's. Something is required somewhere. If we figure out what it is then I or someone will post it for you.
I've gotten all the Kitkat apps on my phone and I have no problems at all. I'm glad to see they finally updated their ugly email app. And the camera rotates a lot faster than before. Google Now is awesome. I had mixed feelings about the new launcher at first but its growing on me. The keyboard seems more responsive too. Also, the hangouts app isnt all that laggy for me. It does take a second to load everything when forst opened but after that, its fine. SMS works great with it in my case. Overall, they are great updates. I can't wait to try out the Kitkat OS.

First of all, I downloaded apps from here:

After you get them on your sdcard, most of them can just be installed like normal apk files.

I dont know why people have been having issues. I'm running Kitkat right now. But when I installed all these apps on Jelly Bean, they were running fine for me.

This is just a thought. But when I installed most of these, I was installing them over system apps or I was moving them to system/app to make them system apps. Maybe that makes a difference.
Anyone using the new Google Keyboard? I found out you can type a whole sentence now with the swipe guesture without raising your finger. The space bar is recognized as a swipe input now. I think the developer(s) of the Swype keyboard did that not that long ago but now its in the stock keyboard. Just thought I'd share.
When you were running on jelly bean, did you had any problems receiving or sending any MMS on hangouts?

I just flashed the rom. Its just perfect my xs is faster then ever ;D. Animation are smooths and fluid no lag at all. Everything works perfectly for me. No Fc till now thank you for sharing.

First of all I want to thank xDroidZz for the share and the developer for the great rom.
It is very fluid and stable .
Great battery life (using it for daily rom with gps and data (for deliveries)) and battery last whole day.
I got common problem in all 4.4.x roms with the time and date settings (after reboot they reset) and then i have to manualy set them.
I figured out it may be gapps problem (using latest PA GApss) ; Flashed latest gapps 19.10.14 and problem dissapeared
I was using the previous build , when yesterday I installed swamp atack game , and the I started to get fc's from trebuchet and I couldn't uninstall the game cause package installer fc'ed too.
Two hours ago , I flashed the last build and I got no more fc's.

Dude repeating the same question doesn't help, it only annoys people. Since this ROM is not developed here on XDA it's unlikely that you will find a fix for this ROM. Try the Paranoid android ROM by deedwar or the AOSPX ROM. And be sure to read the First Post and at least the five last pages of a thread, before you ask a question. It would be even better to use the search function for that thread.

Yeah the XDA app version shows links to this thread, made by the bot. Bit weird that it's not on the normal website.
Are you using ART insted of Dalvik? I tried ART but in my case it's completly laggy, not usable.

I don't actually use this rom but deedwars PA, perhaps im trying AOSPX later. Anyway I use dalvik in PA, because ART isn't supposed to be stable yet. It should be stable on Android 5.0 but we'll have to wait if that comes to our device and if it is stable.

i saw a video on youtube ART VS DALVIK. not really a big differences in terms of speed. i only use Dalvik
Ears phone don't work
After install a custom rom, my ears phone don't work on Xperia S ( Apple Earphone ) but it works fine before the custom rom.
Is not the phone problem, is not a hardware problem.

ok, I searched the forums and found the CM11 few posts regarding this bug in Snapchat the front camera and Instagram, and saw that it is something related to the kernel ... unfortunately CM11 has not solved the problem .. I will not install another kkk because this ROM is the best, I apologize for the 10 post with the same question kkk I thought I was not sending ... sorry for my bad english :good:

No..it's a fake..when you try to download the rom from the link in the description, you will find surveys..anywhere, umeaboy was working on a cyano for edge plus..but anything yet.

I can't live without camera, so i'll flash this rom as a secondary rom, with the dual boot app..now i'm not at home...later i'm going to download it and try it..

If we can get a proper kernel working on it with our device it should be a decent tester
Ok..installed as a primary rom..dual boot is not working.
The rom seems to be working, but..there are a lot of bugs..of course.
Not a daily drive, but just this, it's another step.
I forgot that you can't play your music..if you try to riproduce a song with a music player, or simply a file manager, your phone will reboot.
Remember, if you want to try it..you have to flash cm and then, without reboot the system, flash the gapps, wipe cache e dalvik, and reboot.
Keep it in mind, you can't use it as a daily drive.

Ps: buttons aren't working..you have to enable the navigation bar in settings!

I've checked again..you can't riproduce any type of media..also the media on the web, like youtube..

I did enable the navigation bar in settings... Those didn't work for me either...
The back button worked actually, but not the home and recents buttons
Edit: I should mention I'm using n928t the T-Mobile s6 edge plus

Now i'm returning to river rom...happy for tested this first aosp build, i hope that someone will work on a good kernel and fix the various bug.
Anyway...the aosp experience mixed with the dual edge display is very cool!
Really wish there was an identifiable community for any AOSP on our device :/
i wish there was ubuntu or debian, even maemo/meego will do , android is so one sided and borring

I honestly can't grasp why we do not have the availability of Ubuntu Touch on these devices.
The Meizu Pro 5 came with an Ubuntu Touch model on the idenical Soc/Specs.
I agree all too well about one sidedness, especially putting up with samsung >.<
honestly, samsungs are nice devices but they start to be like apple , i mean locked on every aspect, no mods, people give up on these devices of samsng bcuz the stupid xynos cpu or w/e since samsung dont release the codes to make a custom rom like s3 with archidroid/debian , seriously samsungis gonna lose its custommers if they keep this up

But obviously they released enough to Meizu for them to release a slew of AOSP on the Exynos7420 SoC, like literally
Stock decisions of; Ubuntu Touch or FlymeOS,
CM13/14 was available for download, not sure how that's going currently.
But i just can't grasp why we aren't seeing any love on the other side?

most likely because galaxy s8 is already coming ,and so no use in continueing s6 witch is 2 generations lower, samsung release phones to fast to keep up with apple, witch i so dislike apple ****
cm14 already eh , tobad pierdebeer is the only dev arround for this device, everyone gave up already

Agreed, its just so sad to realize if I want anything actually custom on this thing I either have to put in some hrs of work, & have a wicked internet connection.
Or purchase from Asia for the same SoC from a different manufacturer :/
