Dear Devs (and other who can help),
usually I can see photos of my Desire HD through DLNA on my Tv set (only photos without transitions effect and music) but I can't find the way to see Album (sequence of slide show with music) through DLNA.
Is there already this possibility (that I don't know how to) or do you know it will be possible to play the sequences as on my smartphone options (transition effects and music) through DLNA?
Thanks

I'm running a Desire build on my HTC HD2 (and loving it so far), but I'm looking for some apps that may not exist... or at least I can't find them via the Market or Google.
I'm looking for equivalent apps to programs I use for Windows Mobile:
- Conduits Pocket Player (specifically being able to load a folder of podcasts directly w/o a library, and auto keep bookmarks where I left off. Pocket Player also has a ton of options - basically looking for a loaded Droid player. Oh, also select my location for music library & don't look in any other folder)
- Resco Photo Viewer (ditto on specifying what folder to look into, and the smoothness of having thumbnails of pix)
- Phatnotes for Outlook (haven't yet found out how to synch Notes off Outlook server)
- Phoneweaver (auto audio profile switching - saw a couple freebies on Droid, but have not tested. preferably one that shows current state (day/night/vibrate) on the bar at the top. I'm using HTC profiles, but it only has silent/off/normal, I need at least 1 more for 'night' and the automatic switching part)
- Pocketshield (more powerful lock screen replacement where I can control what is showing and different ways to unlock). I'm not impressed with the lock screen at all & haven't found any place for settings yet.
- TCPMP (play divx movies, flash movies from youtube, etc)
Pretty new to Android and I have a lot of reading to do, but am pretty suprised I didn't find say a real good music player off the bat... and no powerful picture viewer with thumbnails & the like.
I got to download some music & picture players today. None quite what I wanted, but so far:
MortPlayer - allows me to manually load up a directory of music.
Yebisu player - seems ok, need to play more.
JustPictures - I was able to scan my SD card, then manually exclude all the funky stuff it found.
rock player - plays about every single video file ( dont know if it will work on your htc hd2 though, defo worth a shot )

Just read about it in another thread. Let's see what I can throw at it:
Home Movies (converted from digital camera) .wmv format (early ones for me) - nope.
Newer Home Movies (DivX avi) - looks good
Flv looks good (I think from youtube)
619 meg rip of movie (DivX) - perfect
Looks like I just need to convert some older wmv formatted stuff. Excellent, one to cross off the list!
Funny I just saw a tweet from SBSH - Weaver is coming out on Android tonight!
Getting confused in some of the threads I asked for help on, but am using WidgetLocker for my lockscreen, and Folder Organizer to keep my shortcuts clean.
To elaborate, I'm looking for a media/video player for my SGS that allows Fastforwarding (FF) or Rewinding (RW) by a swiping across gesture on the video/screen.
For example, my old symbian phone's stock Video player allowed me to set the amount of time
that a Fastforward/Rewind gesture will pass in options.
If I set it at 10 seconds, all I had to do during the video was to touch the screen and swipe across
towards the right with my finger (like I would while browsing the gallery, contacts or websites on the phone)
to fastforward the video by 10 seconds; swiping to the left would rewind the video by 10 seconds.
Anyone know of such a media/video player?
Try mVideoPlayer.
It uses the Galaxy S's own video playback so you're not losing any format support (you're gaining proper subtitle support though).

Thanks for the suggestion.
Tried various video players including mVideoPlayer and found Act 1 Video player to have the closest
functions to what I'm looking for.
Threw h.264, xvid, divx, vc-1, etc. (in mkv, avi and wmv containers) at it and all of them played well enough.

According to the website, Meridian DOESN'T play .mpg video files....can this be confirmed please?
I thought we could compile a list of apps that integrate themselves in various hubs so they're not needed to be pinned to the homescreen. I really love the idea of the hubs, they're much better than than boring old folders!
MUSIC + VIDEO (ZUNE) HUB
PODCASTS! - A great app to stream podcasts without having to sync them via the desktop Zune
Radio Plays - A companion app to the built in FM tuner that shows you lists of Radio stations in your area and the last songs played on the station as well as most popular songs charting.
Last.fm - Radio streaming app that remains free for us WP7 users!
Slacker Radio - Radio streaming app that actually support landscape view (neat with the HD7 kickstand)
Lyrics - shows the lyrics of the song currently playing
Bitbop - app like HULU is currently offereing 3 months free trial to watch tv shows
Daily Motion - Youtube nearest competitior. The app is what Youtube should have been on wp7
Youtube - this is Microsft sucky plugin
SongTweeter - Probably my most used. Twet the song you're listening to!
PICTURES HUB
Share menu
Pic - o - Twit - tap a picture, select share and then upload to pic o twit.
Extras menu
Photo Enhancer (HTC phones only) simple photo effects app
Phone Collage - Make a collage against various backgrounds of your pictures
TwitPic - share photos via twitter
Pictures Lab - nicely full featured photo manipulation app that also have sharing features built in
Flickr Manager - Serioulsy why isn't the official Flickr app here? Plus this app remains faster and smoother though less "pretty". You can also directly save photos to the phone unlike the official app.
GAMES HUB
All Games automatically go here
I'm sure I might have missed some since the market place now has 8000 apps! Feel free to share some of the unique integrations you've come across
I just watched the review of HD Dock connected to HDTV - it's amazing party tool. So I have a question about it: can it play music and video stored on the phone itself only ? or Can it also play media shared over local network (like shared iTunes library)?
The HD videos in my arc are directly downloaded from youtube, meaning it had a profile of [email protected]
The thumbnails in Gallery are generated when I was still on rom X-Gamer+GB lupusv2
I switched to UHD+Lupusv16, movie thumbnails wont generate in both Album and Movies app, neither in Gallery2
Tried rush kernel, not working.
My workaround is to change video profile to Baseline for thumbnails to generate, but it doesnt copy the original stream size(e.g. 95% but output is 90)
Some users here might want to use Movies app but thumbnails doesnt work, try using a media encoder and change profile to baseline VBR 2-pass.
Is thumbnail generation a kernel or a rom problem?
Other workarounds other than changing roms?
TIA
