Wow best laugh all day ummmm Win Mo with an apk editor
I seem to be unable to get the kitchen mods to change the footer and replace the carrier with a custom message on the notification pulldown screen. Font color also remains black. Is there some setting I'm missing? Yes, I verify it's checked.
edit: rooted running rmk's gingersense
So i was trying to hide the update notification till a zip got put up for MB1 (thanks freeza) so when i pulled down the status bar to view the update i pressed and held it till it popped up with "app info" i then clicked that and it gave me "google framework " i unchecked "show notifications " and the update went away from my status bar.. my question is will this effect anything important from happening besides sys updates? Im hoping this method is safer then trying to do it with root explorer or titanium ..
Hello,
First off, I know there's an app. Second, I already tried the framework.apk modification, that doesn't work.
PHONE SPECS:
Galaxy Nexus (toro)
Running Shiny 4.4.1 KOT49E
Tiny Kernel 5.3.1
WHAT'S WRONG:
I'm trying to change the carrier name on my notification tray and on the lockscreen. I'm currently experimenting with the "eri.xml" way of doing it. Place the eri.xml file in /data and reboot and it should be what you want it to be (check end of post for DL). Instead it comes up "Roaming Indicator On." I don't know how to change it. But my Data While Roaming setting is off and in Settings>About Phone>Status it say's I'm still in service (not roaming).
Any help is appreciated!

Paste the file in /data and reboot. It should say "Galaxy Nexus" To change that, open Root Browser and edit all the code that says "Galaxy Nexus" in the last paragraph.
As already written above, I would have three questions about my rooted 10+ and get started right away:
1. Is it normal that the TWRP mode only has a charging cable on the PC
can be called?
2. I would like to save my PhilipsHue settings with TB. No error message is displayed, but nothing changes when I restore the
data. Can someone of you help me there?
3. First of all, many thanks to Dt. Ketan for the great image.
How do you get the original percentage display back in the status bar? That's the only thing that bothers me a little.

Just my 2 cents:
Unfortunately yes. Samsung changed something about how to enter into download and recovery mode.
This should be an option/feature in the Philips Hue app, but AFAIK, Philips has not made it available yet. So it is not that easy (with TB) ... have a look here: https://www.npmjs.com/package/hue-bridge-backup (But this project is also deprecated / no longer maintained.)
What percentage display in which status bar? Do you mean the battery level in the system's status bar? If yes, go to Settings > Battery and device care > Battery > More battery settings > and enable "Show battery percentage".
Thanks for your answers:
Regarding point 3:
Yes, I know how to activate and deactivate the percentage display.
The problem is that with Dr. Ketan Image the percentage display cannot be deactivated. So if I activate the original percentage display then I have both in the status bar. I don't want that either.
