I have looked and searched but cannot find anything like this. I have Seb's Runnymede AIO v 3.0.4 cmr7 installed with AD2SDX. I am trying to go back to stock, but when I do a full wipe of everything and then try to install the original rom for my phone RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.5_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_159811_signed, it brings up the following error. Does anybody have any suggestions for me please? I really need to get back to stock as soon as possible. Any help would be appreciated.
16GB SD card
1GB ext-4 partition
Runnymede AIO v 3.0.4 cmr7 Rom
Edit: When I have installed the cmr7 Ice Cream sandwich beta rom all as been fine. It seems that this is related to either cmr7 or AD2SDX. Is there any way to remove either?
use alpharev.nl
flash stock , after it flash ruu
Thanks a million. Will do.
I have tried downloading the zip files for the stock HBoot, but the MD5 is always different for the zip file compared to what it should be. If I extract the file, the Hboot.img MD5 is correct when I check it, however when I zip it again it gives me a different MD5 again. Can anybody please help?

No, you must change the "partitions" before you flash ruu.
Thanks for the responses. I have also put in a card with no ext in at all and tried that way too as I actually want the ad card in the phone for something else.. I just cannot seem to get the md5 to match the one posted on the alphrev website. I have tried just flashing the Ruu Rom but no luck. Really need to get it stock. Anyone with any other ideas?

Hi,
from the error pic in your first post it seems that your recovery doesnt support the script. You could try to use CWM 2.5.0.7 which should support this scripting method. I always keep a copy of CWM 2.5.0.7 on my sd so that I can fake flash it when I need to flash old scripts.
Are you trying to install an extracted ROM image from the RUU? This should be unecessary.
Which Hboot do you have installed?
hi,
as above you need to get a old recovery...
about stock hboot: flash downgrade first then stock hboot via fastboot
1) Verify the MD5SUM of the file you downloaded against the one in the table.
2) Flash HBOOT with your phone in fastboot mode (Back+POWER)
3) 'fastboot flash hboot bravo_downgrade.img
4) 'fastboot reboot-bootloader'
5) 'fastboot erase cache'
6) 'fastboot flash hboot bravo_alphaspl.img'
7) Boot recovery, wipe everything
you can use rom.zip from ruu as pg99img.zip method to boot to bootloader
See more info from Mr. Bortak Guide STEP 7...
A quick update. Thanks very much for all the help getting me back to stock. It was such a mission to get it right. Although now after playing around for hours trying different things, and then doing all of the above too, I feel more confident that I would be able to repeat the process in minutes, not the WEEK it took me. If it wasn't for all your help I would have eventually had to send it back to HTC to be repaired, and considering it was out of warranty(and would not be covered anyway) I would have had to pay. Thanks a million once again.

Is there any way to get back to the official froyo? cz after i did the alpharevx i fell my wf lost the htc sense. i feel somtehing different on the map. But the "flip to silent" geature still works.
Thanks for your answer
You need the Sense Fix, it is available here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1156713
And if you still want to go back to the state before AlphaRev X, the procedure is stated here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1160251
So you are on the htc sense rom and not installed any custom rom then follow this procedure.
1.Apply the HTC Sense fix ,procedure could be found on XDA
2.Do S-ON,procedure could be founded on XDA
3.Now you must also remove the clockworkmod recovery in order to recieve future HTC OTA Updates .For this email me([email protected]) and i will send you firmware.zip, download and rename it to PC49IMG.Place it on the sd card but before placing format the sd card to fat 32.Reboot the phone to HBOOT by pressing vol. down and power key.wait for the sd card to be checked and it will ask to update ,follow the instructions given on the screen and reboot the phone.
(cant post firmware.zip here due to the size limit)
AND YOU'RE DONE!!!!!
You have a completely unrooted device with stock recovery and no one can say that this device was once rooted.
P.S. If you have installed a custom rom the restore the HTC Froyo Rom backup to bring it to company state.
Make sure you restore the backup which you had made before flashing superuser, if not then restore the backup which you made and try to uninstall it from applications menu,if it does not uninstall then will remain there and i dont know how to remove it.
I had made a backup before flashing the superuser so there was no superuser installed for my case on restoring the backup
I also did this and was sucessfull in unrooting my device
Thanks for you both !!!
*Clicked thanks button*
But, my ROM is still DK Custom. How can i change it to be the Official Froyo ?
Flash an RUU.

You don't have to recover someones backup. Why not flash the "safe flash zip" roms which are equal to stock roms. You can find their links in index thread.
And if you want complete stock including stock recovery then follow this. This eliminates connection errors of ruu.
In your windows PC click on start and type %temp% and enter. That opens the PC user temporary folder. Just minimize the folder. Now open your ruu (donot connect phone to PC). Donot go with the process, just keep the ruu window aside open. Now search for the file "rom.zip" in the temporary folder (use search function). The rom.zip will be present in a folder (with random name, which the folder name enclosed with {} brackets) . Now copy the rom.zip to a safe location and rename it to PC49IMG.ZIP. Now format your sdcard to fat32 and place the pc49img.zip at the root of sdcard. Now reboot to hboot menu . Then you will be prompted to do the update.
Make sure you have enough battery and do not interrupt the process by pulling battery.

Have you flashed stock hboot from alpharevx hboot. If yes, which hboot have you flashed. Is it 1.01.001. If this is the case then you need to use froyo wwe ruu.
If you are still on apharevx hboot then you need to flash stock hboot. This process was there in the Dev section. I suggest you to flash stock hboot 0.80 from the "ruu-buzz-htc-wwe-1.37" you mentioned. If you do this you can go with my previous post.
Let me know your hboot version.

my hboot is like what alpharevx allow. not xxxxxxx2 but xxxxxxxx1
mine is already s-on but still have recovery and root.
i tried to flash the safe buzz but it says error
So what I got from your posts is --- you have used alpharevx to make the phone s-off. Then flashed aosp rom. Then as you are missing sense, you want stock rom with stock hboot and recovery. So, I think you followed the process to revert back to s-on. During that you have first flashed "Ruu_buzz_froyo_HTC_wwe_2.22.405.1". Then flashed fastboot command and stock hboot 1.01.0001 from that thread. If this is all what you have done, then just flash the "Ruu_buzz_froyo_HTC_wwe_2.22.405.1" again. And if you face USB connection errors, just make pc49img.zip with this ruu (the process that I previously mentioned).
Edit: And "safe buzz" zips should be flashed from cwm 2.x recovery. If you use cwm 3.x or above recovery then you need to flash 2.x recovery to use them. Again refer the index thread on how to.
And if you have previously flashed wwe 2.22.405.1 ruu during revert back to s-on, then flashing safe buzz is useless. Because safe buzz will not overwrite the custom recovery with stock recovery.

Hi all,
its bad, that i must ask you, but idk what i can do know
I have unlocked my bootloader via HTCDev.com. All is fine. I have installed CustomRom and CustomRecovery and so on.
Then i read this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457992
and flashed the radio.img extracted from rom_01.zip.
After this i was unlocked, but still s-on. Then i had the problem: my phone wants start. All its easy i thought, i had an nandroid-backup. So i boot into HBOOT and select recovery. Then i was shocked. The same comes like the boot into normal rom.
The phone was in a bootloop in splash screen.
No recovery possible. So i thought, i can flash the recovery new. I download the unofficial clockworkmod. Then i try to boot into recovery, but the same bootloop.
Then i tried to flash the RZR recovery. The recovery starts, but after seconds it comes the splashbootloop.
Now i extracted rom_02.zip and flash via HBOOT. Now i try again to boot into recovery: same bootloop.
Then i flash the boot.img of the official RUU (2.13.x) and the recovery. After this i see the red !. I restart phone and try to go in recovery, but same bootloop.
Then i install the cwm recovery again. I can start once into recovery, but i can't mount the sdcard.
So, i have all did, what i know. Has anyone an idea?
Download this
http://www.mediafire.com/?t28abu6pd5835e3
Extract the ROM.zip file
Rename to PG76IMG.zip
Put it at the root of the SD card
Boot into recovery
What is that, the name is gingerbread, but idk if it is working for that.
And i can't reboot into recovery
But i will try!
You are very funny, thats are only the extracted files of the ruu and not the best help, bc i have used the ruu, not better
I have no better idea sorry.
Well, what I would try in that situation is:
extract rom01 and rom02, rename it to PG76IMG.zip and flash them both together. use a card reader to access sd card.
then, go to fastboot and flash boot, system and recovery from the latest official EU ruu.
then flash custom recovery.
unfortunately there's no way to fastboot-flash the radio images, although they are signed.

I would say download this... and flash from SD card (Gold card)
It's RUU 2.13 2.3.5 EU
Hope it works and you'll also be the 1000'th downloader so that makes you a winner already!
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
DS
How i flash this. If i use PG76IMG.zip in SD-Card it says:
Main version is older
And if i try to flash via fastboot update PG76IMG.zip
if says error while openening package.
Maybe i can unpack this package and edit android-info to edit the mainversion and repack, but then the radio wont flash
I sent the phone to amazon, they sent it to arvarto in germany, and i hope, that nobody found that it is unlocked.

with a big fat *** UNLOCKED *** inside the HBOOT screen? Good luck.
Maybe they don't boot into hboot. It is very expensive to pay employee's and better to change the phone
I had to send my wildfire back because of a broken charge port, they rebuilt the phone with new parts. They'll find out. They'll probably still fix it but charge you more.
I have a Verizon Dinc2 given to me by a friend....I'm not a complete noob but not very familiar with this particular device...I know how to use adb and have rooted and modified several other models from the HTC lineup before
Here's the problem, the phone was apparently unlocked with HTCdev method, had clockworkmod recovery installed (v5.0.2.0) but then left with S-ON, no sd card and no ROM installed.
Every method I have found of rooting properly, or getting a new hboot on there, or downgrading or ANYTHING basically requires that you start with the phone booted, which I can't do because there is no ROM installed.
I have tried putting a ROM on an sd card and flashing from recovery, no dice.
I have tried flashing several different RUU (PD32img or whatever) from the bootloader, and I always get a 'bad image' or 'wrong image' message then nothing.
I have tried to perform a couple of downgrade methods thinking the RUU's included might install and help me out, and can't complete through adb because the phone isn't in the proper mode. or it will start a flash and give me an error of some kind.
I know if I could install a ROM, I could enable debugging, use charge only mode, even flash a different recovery, etc... but with no ROM, and no way to boot, I am at a loss.
Anyone know where I can go with this? the phone is pretty nice, and I would love to get it running, even just stock...Maybe somebody has a nand backup I could try running from CWM, or something along those lines?
The info I get from the bootloader is as follows:
***UNLOCKED***
VIVO_W XB SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-0.98.0000
RADIO-1.09.01.0312
If you have an sd card, put a ROM on it and flash it. If you still have clockwork installed, you can do it. Then you have to take the boot.IMG from the ROM and flash via adb

I've tried using factory restore, using all backups, but to no avail.
BACKSTORY TIME!
So after a while of having the bootloader unlocked and rooted, I decided I wanted to try and install a custom kernel. I was told here that I could install JMZ's custom kernel. Well, after following his instructions to the TEE, I was stuck in a boot loop. After a little bit of research and hair tearing, I found this page but I can't seem to find the RUU to download.
I don't know where to start, so that's why I'm asking here! If you could direct me to where I need to go, that'd help me a lot + I'll thank you I'm hoping someone could help me by today, because I have to go to school tomorrow [snow day today ] and really can't live without my phone.
Here are the symptoms that I think why the radio partition is the problem:
I went here, hoping I could find a fix, but can't find the RUU
I've seen on some other posts that people have trouble with the 1.00.00.0928 radio version, and somehow downgraded to .0521, but I don't know how they did this.
Tried factory restore
tried using backups
tried extracting the ROM.zip from RUU, then putting it on the SD card, then booting into HBOOT, renamed the file via TWRP recovery, rebooted into HBOOT again, and let it acknowledge the file "PK75IMG.zip", and install that, but it still reboots.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance!

Hi
I recently tried to update a stock handset from 3 to the Android Revolution HD 18.2 ROM, but have failed and now cant get it to boot at all.
I have CID: H3G__001 and HBOOT 1.12, i think i may have jumped the gun and not updated my hboot but could be wrong.
I am using a mixture of Hasoon2000 v2.3 tools and some adb commands found while searching for solutions, but nothing i try seems to restore it.
When i first rooted / unlocked it, i installed TWRP 2.4.1.0 from Hasoon's tool, and did a backup.
I have tried restoring from this backup but all i get is stuck at the 3 logo, rather than the HTC one.
I tried to re-lock the bootloader and reboot, clear all the cache but still nothing....
I have spent hours now searching for possible solutions before finally calling out for help, as i think i am now likely to do more damage than good.
I even tried to download a full backup from Matt's collection http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140 but this failed to install
HELP !!!! Phone is now dead
Hi.
You need to update your hboot in order to flash ARHD 18.x.
Your backup failed to boot because you didn't flash the boot.img of it. Get the boot.img at /sdcard/TWRP/ and flash it.
TToivanen,
Thanks for such a fast response.
I have tried searching for the correct files to use to update my hboot, but the list from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2153777&highlight=hboot just confuses me as i cant seem to work out the correct one to use (if any).
Do you know where i could get the right hboot for my cid ?
If i update the hboot and re-flash the ARHD 18.x. - if this fails again, will i still be able to recover to stock using TWRP recovery and your method of locating the boot.img from the sdcard/TWRP ?
Many thanks, its just i have been going round in circles for ages and gave my other phone to a friend so now desperate to get back up and running again.
I think you have more succes in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1927048
And yes you can always return to a backup or another rom ....
Oké so download the firmware.zip from the link above and do these fastboot commands. Note that you will need the original Unlock_code.bin because this method involves locking and reunlocking the bootloader. Search for it in your email inbox.
fastboot oem lock
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip (do two or three times if it fails)
fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-xxxx.img
Thanks all, managed to un-brick it, now time to play and see what it can do.
Updated hboot by following the instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1927048
Then went back to install the Android Revolution HD 18.2 ROM and boot.img and all working again.
Not sure if its the best ROM for this device but i thought its a reasonable place to start. Going to install Titanium backup first and also do a full nand backup just in case something goes wrong, or i feel brave enough to try a different ROM.
Thanks again.
You're welcome!
