Hey evryone,
After testing enough its time to release.
Lets keep it simple.

1>The crystal edition aims at making ur screen transparent.More transparency means the more you can see ur panoramic background!!
2>You get completely transparent sliders.Top and down.
3>The slider is a unique creation and is ahead of all other transparent slider.I have not given up where other people have failed.The uniqueness is that when u slide on ur icons there is no pop up icon on the icon bar.So the slider gives the effect of being completely tranparent.But at the same time.Ur big icons in the centre do appear.So u dont loose out on ur icons!
4>All icons are transparent.I have used my favourite icon pack.
5>It works in all menues like contacts,music..
6>Clock is completely tranparent
7>And of course the good old panoramic background!!

if u tried to uninstall it and it said "cannot be completely removed"then its ok..caus it removes it,.u must have installed some other mod of mine..dont worry its uninstalled..

Yes it can be changed.You will find a number of backgrounds already posted for it in this thread through the pages by a number of member.All of them are my favourite.

If you want to make your own image.Heres a short tute:
There are three files.Each file is 512 X 512 pixels.
The first file contains the first 512 X512 of your picture.
The next file contains the next 512X 512 and the last the third part of your picture.
.I have uploaded a picture underneath to explain what i am trying to say along with the file names
.Open the files in manila editor and replace the pic with your own.

i forgot to put those files in the cab..il put it soon..

rotastrain, after I did that it still remained on my touchflo3D when I turned it on.
Not saying that I want it removed, it's really good and i'm loving the red car!!

i have installed it and works nice, but have two problems:
1.) home screen stays the way as it was before with the exception of glass clock. I have default smabergs wallpaper instead of the panoramic one. As soon as I click the home icon to slide it to the right the panoramic wallpapers shows up as it is supposed to
2.) Is there a way to make the background high quality. I made a picture from the wallpaper which is 1800x1440 but I somehow managed to make it pixelated
EDIT:
I am using Smabergs Touch X 6.1 ROM if that could be the reason.

Ok..the roms the reason for sure..il need to work on it..il tell u which files i need k..have you made ur wallpaper default?if not make it and see if it solves the problem..

One question..
1>When you move to another tab can you see th panoramic image?

OK, I have uninstalled everything and here is the file that was left behind.
I can see the panoramic picture as soon as I touch the slider (which is transparent as it should be) even if I am still on thehome screen. When I let go I get the usual home screen. all other tabs display the panoramic wallpaper correctly.
EDIT:
I have looked in your other thread and installed the nontransperent version. I like it better than crystal variant. The problem persist but I have found a temporary solution that works quite well - I set my home wallpaper to the first .png used in panoramic wallpaper.

hey Rotastrain,
I tried the cab to change the clock color but it was still black after I install it.... then I tried placing the files from the zip to windows but still nothing changes?? am I doing something wrong?

[CAB] launch android from yer start menu

this is my first working cab and im so proud of it. this puts an icon in your start menu so you can easily boot to android without having to navigate file explorer. this is also uninstallable, if you decide you dont like it go to settings > system > remove programs.
i did check with google and you are allowed to use the android robot so this is legal. all i have to do is write this:

Nice icon, my .cabs do this automatically as well. This would be useful for people installing a .rar tho that still want an icon.
Edit: I linked your post for people who still want to use the .rar and have a start icon. I also made a XDAndroid icon for the start menu if you want to use it, although the original icon isn't bad either.

Actually I was gonna break out the Adobe CS4 and see what I could come up with. LOL I just didnt want to do it today, so I made the start menu link, and not the icon.

i didnt know that. i installed from your cab and it never gave me the icon so i figured i had to make my own. this does also install on any device. i got it on my fuze.

I've added this to the wiki.

By the way mine only shows the HaRET icon ... but it is in the start menu. I am using a 6.5 ROM if that helps

I've added a link on my page to this cab where the .rar package instructions are. Just in case someone doesn't want to use the .cab, but still wants the shortcut. I also made a new icon for my XDAndroid cabs if you would like to use it also I can send it to you.

i finally installed the newest version of android and haret is in a different place now. if you have something like total commander you can fix the shortcut under its properties. ill upgrade the cab soon for people who want this more stock icon.

Not to rain on the parade (because hard work is always appreciated) but, isnt this the same thing as dualboot from yozgatg? You can use the icon created in start menu on his project to boot straight into android also, with out resetting. Although, I think he's going to be updating dualboot since the path has changed for the install, which you've already noticed Nonetheless, thanks for the contribution.

Sometimes that dual boot app is nothing more than a pain in the ass. Seems more streamlined with just its own icon. I have an icon i install from my .cabs as well. Don't use dual boot anymore.

If I wasn't constantly flashing my phone, id probably stick with the dual boot, but for me eventually it just got monotonous. I may even go back to it once android is more complete, but for now I just went back to the simple things in life.

Also, these guys need to change the registry (unless you know how personally) to look for the "andboot" folder, instead of "android". Nothing major really.

You make a good point. Since I don't use it everyday, I don't ever really need to boot straight into it. I just run it to show off or mess around with it for a little bit. I dont know how to change the registry, but I know the shortcut for this app can be manually changed to look for andboot as mentioned above. i think that's what you were talking about right?
Oh, I think you were talking about dualboot. Yozgatg is actually updating it today so you can set where haret.exe is located to boot from.

[How To][HTC] Add Custom Backgrounds and Accents in Mango

Ive been missing Advanced Config and Accent Changer on my hd7 since I upgraded to mango. Over the past two nights I changed around 6 of the default accent colors and added 3 new complete themes.
These will only work with 0409 Lang(US English).
Ive attached some pics but they suck since I cant use any screen capture apps and I had to use my horrible webcam on top of my netbook to get some pics. So if anybody can take some better pics that would be great.
Installation is pretty straightforward. Device needs to be unlocked. Also have to have touchxplorer working in order to move the files to the windows directory.
Its the normal way of editing the mango registry on HTCs. From what I read this would also be possible of Samsungs. Though the provxml's would have to be changed.
These are full themes and even theme some third party apps. Keyboard backgrounds match background color for theme. After switching to a theme a restart is required for some of the theme to take effect like the keyboard background for instance.
Further instructions and files to set device back to all the normal accent colors and backgrounds.
I encourage you to make a backup of your phone before you do this incase anything goes wrong. Since we are editing the registry if it is not written right we wont be able to change it. So make a backup. At least make one using zune 4.8 which will backup everything but what syncs with zune.

Did you do this in nodo the carry it through to mango or are the HTC phones actually allowed to run touchexplorer in mango?

accents are nice. if i install the background colors, the design tab gets broken and apps arent able to start.

on Lg Quantum here. would be great to have Accent Changer or HTC route for this as well on Mango. For now I have to go into the registry via MFG and change accents one at a time..Used a website for RGB and hexcode to get the correct numbers and all set until I get sick of my own colors,

Oh crap... That happened to me when I had an error in one of the provxml files(had a space after one of the numbers). I just double checked the file I uploaded to make sure it has the provxml that I fixed and not the one when the same thing happened to my phone. It was the fixed provxml file.
Forgot to mention and I will edit the first post when Im done these will only work with 0409 lang(US English). Maybe this is why it got jacked up.
Not sure why the accents worked though since those have references to the 0409 lang too.

I did this all in mango. If you have touchxplorer installed in nodo before you upgrade to mango and carry over the custclear to unlock mango when it starts up touchxplorer will work after you unlock.

oh now i see
yeah accents work. so if i change the 409 to 407 in the custclear's it shoudl work for german, too? or are in the several xmlx also 409 references?

should work. Can't remember if there is references in the xaml files. But you can open them in notepad. Its only the themeresourses.xaml files that are changed. Just change the 0409 to 0407 and change the names of accent colors to reflect german.

I see the custclear.provxml, but what or where are you getting the values that correspond to the colors? Thanks.
Also, I just installed the custclear.provxml with your custom accents and mine are now doubled (accent colors)?? Everyone shows twice. And none of the names changed. They still have the old color names when I set them in Nodo using Adv Config.

i have mango unlocked with touchxplorer, but how do you transfer the files to the device???

i have tried it 10 times, and no success. i look at my registry before i have tranfered the files, insted of HKLM.... i have HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE... and the custclear file wont work? or? and i manage to transfer the files, all of the 2.folder, because i will only the gray theme to add beside the dark and light... and start the connectin setup, it says its done. and then i have no access to themes in the settgins, no more advanced config, and 90% of the apps dont work, even the stock ones dont react, just close... i have an restore and i restore every time and try to manage it but i think it dont work on my Htc. i have switch the second time the language and the location to US (409) but in the registry at the point \accentdisplay... is no 409 there is nothing.

There are a few ways. One that I like to use is the SkyDrive sync: on your PC, go to your SkyDrive account using the web browser. Upload the file there (I think the phone uses the My Documents folder, so put it in that one - you can sync a file from the phone to SkyDriver first to be sure). You'll need to change the extension to .TXT unless you're trying to send a MS Office or PDF file. Then, open the Office hub on the phone, and (after a moment to sync) you should see your file. Open it in Word and then save it to the phone (not just back to Skydrive). You can then use TouchXplorer to grab the file from \My Documents\, copy/move it, and rename it.

this is an icon set which I created for Desktop Visualizer, and also my first release here on XDA.
These icons are in "2x1" size and you can dispose them as you wish.
In the next days I'll release more icons, even with different size and style.
To apply:
Of course you need Desktop Visualizer installed on your phone
Long press on the screen
Select "Desktop Visualizer(2x1)"
Tap the icon
Tap "Select Icon"
Tap "Image File" (if you have the DVRImageSlicer addon you can also choose "Add-Ons" > "NoPaddingPicker" which give better quality images with some launchers)
Select the image
Select the action, clear the laber, remove the touch effect color and press OK.

Thanks, the problem is that DVR does not support folders. Also I doubt there are folder applications that allow the use of custom icons... I mean big like these.
Any suggestion will be accepted

I'm using the mod version of GO Launcher EX v2.57 with big icons (you can find it here) but there should be no differences between this mod and the official release.. using DVR I mean. And the grid is standard 4x4.
I'll upload the icons soon, just give me few minutes...

WP7 style icons: ONLINE.
At the moment I have only those 5, but I'll create more in the next days.

I can't seem to align them like you did...
They are more far apart, and the top of the Settings one isnt aligned with the top of the email one...

Because you're using GO Launcher EX and these icons are made to fit the TouchWiz UI screen (which takes a lot of space on the bottom). Change launcher or wait for my next release!

My bad, I thought you used GO too, but even if I swap to TW they still don't align as well as on your printscreen

It's working in combination with Simi Folder.. i already use it that way with other 2x1 icons.. just not that pretty ones so i want yours

Ok so, what you have to do is download the DVR addon "DVRImageSlicer" and then, for the icon selection, instead of clicking on "Image File" click on "Add-Ons" and "NoPaddingPicker". This will basically allign all the images just like shown in my screenshot.

[APP] Themes for Windows Phone

Hey
Ducking out of coursework for a minute to write this post.
I've constructed a little hack using fiinix's custom tile system. It's actually super simple, where it loads generated data in for tiles, pins them, and then upon loading, redirects the user to the app.

Delta Theme
Let me introduce you:
The Windows Phone 7 Delta Theme.
This Theme is based upon the Photographs of ... myself. So basicly I tried to bring several new aspects into the design of Windows Phone without ruining it with odd-looking glass effects etc.

No Large Tiles (eg Calender)

Working on adding some system items and larger icons. Biggest issue here is email, which we can't seem to find a way to link to, as it's on a per-account basis, and we don't know the tokens for them

i have this program on my device but i cannot open any of the applications that i applied this theme to. Is this normal or have you not implemented this?

Not normal. Did you make sure to add /_default to the GUIDs?

Just so I make sure I hear this right your app basiclly just launches itself right away? Also does this mean when I press the start button what is really happening is i am being directed to the homescreen and then the homescreen is directing me to your app?

anyway, can't wait for the next version with fixes. The background image spanning over tiles is Parfait. thank you!

Anyway, new version with fixes is up. Rush job, but it should clean up most of the common issues.

Lmao ok I understand now. On a differnt note if I install this app and then unistall it will it remove all the custom tiles I have. Also is the xap file just the one theme you select.

Cheers for the reply, that's unfortunate regarding the Emails. Perhaps you should focus on linked inboxes. Just say the Themes only support fully linked email boxes.
The commands for linking should make it easier to locate the app (at least in my mind it would oO)

i am not sure what you mean? can you explain?

ok, just tried this but I am having problems. I can apply my own background image to the default theme, however when I click "Background Theme" and add an app from the market I get the app but as soon as I add one single app, I cannot apply a background image. When I get out of this window and back to main, nothing changed. Still shows the default. Shouldn't it now show the newly added app and the arrangement I made under "Background Theme"? It doesn't.
When I add an app from the main window and remove apps it works fine. I cannot reorder apps though. When I then open "Background theme" to reorder what I just added and apply a background, I only see the default list. I can add a background and it's applied to the main window, however the app order is from the default and my added apps are at the end of the list. I cannot re-arrange in the main window. Again, as soon as I add an app in "Background Theme" I cannot apply a background. None of the apps added on that level are reflected in the main window.
Several times now I added my apps in the main window and was able to apply a background, however the tiles and apps in the main window reverted back to default as soon as I applied the background. I give up for now.
I am clearly missing something.
Never mind, just saw this post by Joe on Jaxbot's site.
"As of now, you have to manually add them to the "customs.txt" file in order for them to become default when making a new theme."

first off, ten thousand thanks for this, and second of all, does anyone have a link to where I can download the wp7 default app tiles (just the tiles in .png form) in the many different color schemes of wp7? a google and bing search yielded nothing useful. Thanks again!

what about the homebrew live tiles?

To bad we cant do live tiles and double tiles yet...

Hmmm who can make Office icon theme for WP7? I'd like all icons like Office icon.
