Reflash poblem after boot loop - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I have a Galaxy Nexus that was stuck in a boot loop at the google logo. I tried using these instructions to reflash the device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1394051
It got stuck at the beginning and stayed that way for about 30 minutes. After that i removed the battery and tried to start the device and now the attached image is on the screen no matter what i do.
Can anybody help me get this device working again?

I can't. I tried fast boot and odin mode but no matter what I do that image is displayed.

If you can't get into Fastboot or Download mode with the hardware buttons you're kinda screwed. You will likely have to order a USB JIG to force your phone into Download mode. So you can try to use ODIN to fix it. You can buy these USB JIGs off ebay.

I made a usb jig and tried to get to download mode but I cant. Is there any way to fix this?

Yep, volume up is for recovery
either way i cant get to download or recover mode useing the buttons i can get to download mode with my usb jig or boot in to it using Samsung GS3 ToolKit. Is their a way to boot into recovery mode
You can download quickboot from the market.
Thanks that works but i wonder why i cant boot using the button combo its just strange all the buttons are working. but i can get into recover mde now so that is good
That is strange, I say use Odin and go completely stock, no root, and see if it still acts the same. If so then it might be hardware related.

Phone won't boot to recovery, won't boot to system after upgrade TWRP 2.6.3.0

OK, trying to install CM10.2, which requires TWRP 2.6.3.0. So I installed GooManager from play store and updated to 2.6.3.0, now my phone won't boot, black screen after the samsung logo. It won't boot to system, won't boot to recovery.
I have usb jig, so I can go to download mode.
So how do i fix this?
OK, flashed twrp via odin, see pics.

Oh man. You're not the only one.
This happened to me yesterday. I had to flash back to stock. Now, I am about to root again. Good luck, mate.
This seems to happen with Goo everytime there's a new version of TWRP. I have read that the easiest fix is to flash the TWRP tar file with Odin. Every post I have read, said that everything was fine after that. Sounds like Goo doesn't mess with anything but the recovery in those cases. I used this fix once when I flashed a recovery zip that didn't work.
As of date. It appears Goomanager is the culprit.
I installed openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-hercules.tar using odin since goo obviously doesn't work... but I can't seem to boot past the teamwin screen... any pointers?

GooManager updated me to 2.6.3.0, now when I reboot, I see Samsung splash screen for a few seconds and then a black screen of death, won't boot, won't go into download mode no matter what I do. tried rebooting with both vol keys pressed down, tried holding vol keys down while inserting usb cable, tried rebooting while holding the down volume key, tried rebooting holding vol keys and power then releasing power. Nothing works. If anyone can help me get into downlaod mode, I'd appreciate. From there, I can revert back to 2.6.1.0
if you cannot go to download mode, you need USB Jig, check it here:

Use USB jig to get into download, then follow the 2 photos I pasted at the 1st post to Odin 2.6.1.0

You guys are life savers! Thank you!!!!
Jig not working either
So, as mentioned before, GooManager updated me to TWRP 2.6.3.0, and now I can't boot past samsung splash screen. No method I used would get me to download mode so I took the advice in the thread and bought a USB Jig. Even removing the battery and leaving it out for 2 minutes and then reinserting it, followed by inserting the jig in the charger port and waiting, and nothing happens. Turning the device on with the jig in the port also does nothing but a quick flash of the splash screen logo and then darkness forever. Definitely doesn't bring up download mode or any kind of yellow triangle. Anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? You'd think that as long as I can get to the samsung logo screen that there would be some way to recover this device and that I'm no hard bricked. Other people have managed to recover from the GooManger TWRP 2.6.3.0 issue, so why can't I?
shot my USB jig came in today & can't get it into to download mode at all NO
gata love odin it saves you every time

[Q] Broken Home Button - Recovery Mode

So long story short my home button doesn't work and my phone won't turn on. Do I have to plug in my USB jig and return to stock and lose everything or is there some other way i could get into recovery mode? Is there any way to get into recovery mode from download mode? I can't use adb reboot recovery because it just says device offline so is there any way around that?

*** Recovering a semi hard bricked LG G Pad 8.3 ***

I've got a weird issue. I was updating a rom and when finished and booted out of the recovery everything seemed normal. Was seeing the normal "Android is updating" message from the dalvik/cache being wiped and it made it through about half it and then everything went blank. Now the tablet is totally unresponsive and will not turn on, boot into recovery, bootloader or download mode.
I did however find a way to get it to boot into download mode. It will not boot into download mode plugging it into to my desktop's usb ports while holding the volume up/down buttons but will boot into download mode while plugging into the wall wart. I can not unplug it from the wall wart and transfer to the computer to run the LG recovery so this now leaves me stuck/stumped.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Try booting in recovery mode using vol down + power button to see if you can get back to your custom recovery to flash back your good rom or previous back up. Search the forum for the proper sequencing of how's to push the buttons to get into your custom recovery.
Good luck.

I'm having that problem now. I followed your instructions and got to the recovery mode or "Odin Mode" and it's been saying it's downloading for about 10 min or so. Any idea on how long it should take ?

Follow these instructions implicitly.
Hold POWER + VOL DOWN + HOME.
As soon as it restarts change to VOL UP while still holding the other buttons.
Do NOT let go of any of the buttons until recovery boots.

That's what I've been doing exactly but for some reason it just goes right back to the logo screen. I was able to get into the recovery mode one time out of 100 and I went through the process of factory reset but it didn't solve the problem. Now I can't get back into it. It's weird because I have no problem getting into the download mode pressing the volume down but volume up doesn't seem to work. Not sure why or what to do
I'd try reflashing stock recovery then try booting into it again.
If it flashes then you should be able to boot into it.

Install Samsung usb drivers, put your tab into download mode, connect to pc, run Odin, load the file into the AP slot then click start.

You haven't bricked anything, there could be any number of reasons why it won't boot past the logo.
Easiest way to resolve it would be to reinstall the stock rom.
The second image is download mode.

That's the exact same situation I'm in. Every time I restart it I can't get passed that damn Samsung logo screen. I tried the whole flash with Odin process but I realized that when I connect the tablet to the computer, I get an "MTP Device Driver Failed" message so I'm assuming since the computer doesn't recognize it, even tried with KEIS and it doesn't, that I'm unable to complete the Odin job because that goes until 'Initialization' and stops there. Were you able to fix yours?

No I can't. I've tried a thousand times in all different sequences of holding the three buttons and it just doesn't go. It's SM-T800. They screen shots on the first page is exactly what I get. Either the logo screen when trying to get into recovery or download mode which it has no problem going into.

The two files below should boot you directly into recovery as soon as you start the tablet if you can flash them. Flash with Odin from the AP slot.
Make sure you put the device into DOWNLOAD mode first then connect your usb cable!
You can then do a factory reset and then try and flash the stock rom.
Stock recovery
Twrp recovery
.

Yeah I tried that too but when I connect the tablet to my comp, I get this 'Samsung Mobile MTP Device Failed' message so my comp doesn't even recognize the tablet. I even tried connecting with KEIS but that doesn't see it either because of that error. Idk if that's related to this issue that I'm having but I'm assuming that since the comp doesn't recognize the tablet because of that error, it won't finish the ODIN job. I get up to 'Initialization' and nothing after. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Samsung drivers and that didn't work either. Seems I can't catch a break here

Mtp, kies and anything else is irrelevant, they are OS dependent.
Just put the tablet into download mode. Download mode works in boot loader mode. No need for the os.

Ok we need to take this step by step as theres something amiss here.
DID YOU AT ANY POINT WHILE THE TABLET WAS WORKING ENABLE 'REACTIVATION LOCK'?
1. Ensure the Samsung drivers are installed (important) Samsung usb driver
2. Before connecting anything to the PC put the tablet in DOWNLOAD mode first.
3. Plug the USB cable into a USB 2 port
4. Wait for the 'ADDED' message (if you dont get this it wont work)
5. Load the tar file into the AP slot.
6. Click START
7. If it doesn't start to flash reboot the tablet directly back into DOWNLOAD mode without touching anything else then unplug and replug the USB cable back in.
8. If it still doesn't flash try ODIN 3.07 ODIN
9. Report back and post a screenshot (if it doesn't work).

I know for a fact that I never enabled the Reactivation Lock.. But you know, after literally days and hours including my entire weekend just searching the internet and trying every possible fix scenario that people have tried, I just gave in and sent it to Samsung this afternoon to have them fix it. Nothing I was doing seemed to work and I do believe I tried everything within my little knowledge to try. Let me ask you though, when I get it back in normal working order, would going through the steps to install the TWRP recovery and a ROM prevent me from being in this situation again or at least be able to actually fix it on my own?
If you dont mind tripping Knox and possibly warranty then I believe installing custom recovery is one of the best tools you can Install to a device.
It can get you back to a working state in minutes if you make a full backup.
It's a no brainer to install custom recovery if you intend to root and modify the device in any way.
