Only if I have someone on Google+ will it show as a normal pic. Any other way, its ALWAYS blurry. Has the issue been fixed yet?

Try Haxsync in the market.. works quite well, well worth the dollar
They need to fix this issue. Haxsync works but isn't perfect.
It's a Google Contacts from Gmail issue, not an Android related one. If the Gmail team would allow 720p pictures for Contacts over night, then I don't think it's going to be such a problem syncing those pictures with Android. Unless there's a specifier somewhere in Contacts Sync framework in Android that holds a max of 256x256 pixels (or whatever the current max is).
No it is not fixed. It is really starting to irk me.
Has the issue been addressed?

+1, works great.
There have been many complaints on this prior to the GN. Many have written directly to Google on the matter but I've yet to find where they have a fix in place or have even acknowledged that there is a problem. This is the one issue that I find extremely irritating about Android phones.
You shouldn't have to purchase a 3rd party app to fix this issue...And in my opinion HaxSync helped a bit, but still did not provide an HD quality pic (unless they've updated the app recently). FriendCaster gave the same results.

I have just got this awesome phone.
But I can't find a way to sync my facebook contracts with google contracts. Is there anybody who can tell me how to do that.?

You can't. The app doesn't support it. The only contact sync that works is Google+ out of the box.
Okay thanks for the answer. Hope that they will change that soon
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
That's all up to Facebook. Hopefully they add it back in. The API is available for them to do so in a new version of the app. Google isn't restricting them or anything.
Friendcaster app can sync with the people app in ICS.. But the photo are not high definition!
Nexus devices have always had this feature excluded.

No they have not. I can sync just fine on my Nexus One. Also, it's not that the feature was excluded. Facebook used to have a backdoor API that allowed them to sync in Android that other developers couldn't use. Google removed it in the newer versions of Android. This means that for it to keep working, Facebook would have to update their app to use the public API for contact syncing (that's been there the whole time) and allow the user more control of their own info. They have not done so.
It's Facebook's app that's the problem here. It's nothing specific to the Nexus devices in general. You just notice it more in Nexus devices because they don't have manufacturer created Facebook apps (i.e. HTC's custom made FB app that syncs properly).
Anyone know how to import your instagram photos to Facebook. I have tried sharing it to Facebook, but it will only give a link. I see that some people can import their pictures to a Facebook album called "instagram photos." Can anyone help?

Its handled by Facebook. Whenever you post to Facebook from the Instagram app, it by default creates an album called "Instagram photos".
Its an app for hipsters.
So chances are, they won't tell you how it works.

Its not, I think its because the galaxy nexus doesn't have Facebook sync support. When I upload a photo, it never appears on my fb account, even though I linked my account.. the same goes with twitter.
Kudos to the person who can find the solution.

Mind sharing how you got it to work? I'm having the same issue...
Haha please elaborate? I must be having a derp moment if it's that easy to figure out...
In the settings under "edit sharing settings" I have it linked to my fb account. However I thought that the photos would automatically upload just like that. But when you upload a new photo, you have to check the fb box, and then upload picture.

Oic... thanks. I thought it was automatic as well

Is anyone else annoyed that you can't send a contact from the stock SMS app? I love the standard SMS but yet have to have a third party SMS app installed just for this purpose. From the stock SMS you can attach a few things but not a contact. And even from the phone app you can send but through email...not SMS.
Nothing major...just felt like griping about something I guess.
On a side note android keeps getting better and better. I don't see myself even going back to a non nexus phone!

I totally agree it's silly this is not factory android option. I can tell this is a general complaint and you weren't really looking for an app, but check this out:
share contracts via sms

it's not really an "app" it just adds the menu option to share contracts thru messaging app. you still use stock messaging. I have used this since froyo days. it's super lightweight, you'll hardly notice it's even there...

Yup, I've been shocked time and time again that it hasn't already been added since I first started using Android with Froyo.
Which is weird if you've been using dumbphones for the last 15 years I think most of them could do this.

I, personally, use instagram as a way to post a photo across social media networks ie Facebook and twitter. Instagrams new terns of service give them the right to basically sell everything about me, including photos, to their partners without my consent. I don't like this and I was wondering if anyone knew of an app that lets me post a photo to multiple platforms at once?
I never cared about the filters, so that doesn't matter to me. Thanks.
Edit: clarity

I'm pretty sure you give up that right as soon as you use twitter or the 'book , I doubt it'll matter if instagram does as well

While I see your point, I don't think Facebook or twitter go this far. I know they both use info, but these new terms specifically say they can and will use your likeness and photos if they want.
Flickr seems to be the thing to use. If anyone has any other suggestions, I am open to them.
Edit: the Flickr app is horrendous

Thanks for the info. It looks like an issue with ICS on ION. Maybe the update will fix it.

Confirmed on stock official at&t ROM. If a video call is ended before the other person answers phone stops responding and has to be powered down. My Nexus 7 does not appear to have the same issue though so let's hope the update comes soon.

I hate this new app. It's sluggish, resource hungry and overall adds nothing to good old Gtalk.
I have rolled out the update and will never install it again.

Aye, me too. But I'm afraid soon Google will force us to migrate to it...just like "Google Settings" appeared in the app drawer without asking for it, Hangouts is gonna replace Talk. :-/

Hangouts has already replaced talk, and I personally think it's loads better, if only more people used it I would definitely consider it a possible whatsapp replacement.
I don't have any issues with the app as some of you have experienced. (xperia s with jb .197)
The real question is, what will happen to g+ messenger? As we now have 2 messaging apps from Google.

It has replaced it, yeah, but you can still use the old Gtalk if you want.
G+ messenger will be gone with the new G+ update.
I used google talk a lot for work, so was kind of worried about this change overall...as i don't use G+ for anything (nor fb for that matter), but also liked how google talk on my phone, and gmail's browser conversation thing sync'd easily...
as far as the android hangouts app, whatever...it works, didn't really care what it looked like...but i will say the chrome extension for hangouts is much better than how gmail integrated. I can now have any number of my work/home machines connected to hangouts without having gmail opened. Not sure if this is how G+ worked before, as I wasn't going to bother using that.
I'm still learning it...but also prefer how hangouts doesn't seem to be archived into gmail automatically...you can set it up to do that, but it doesn't just default to dumping a pointless 3 line conversation into 'all mail'...I know you were able to change all that with google talk, just didn't feel like messing with it.
So whatever in my case...its definitely not worse for me. The bigger problem still is, and always will be, the trends of what people use. I still get numerous fb messages a week despite it being obvious that i'm never on there...then border line threats for ignoring someone haha.
