You can't. The app doesn't support it. The only contact sync that works is Google+ out of the box.
Okay thanks for the answer. Hope that they will change that soon

That's all up to Facebook. Hopefully they add it back in. The API is available for them to do so in a new version of the app. Google isn't restricting them or anything.
Friendcaster app can sync with the people app in ICS.. But the photo are not high definition!
Nexus devices have always had this feature excluded.

No they have not. I can sync just fine on my Nexus One. Also, it's not that the feature was excluded. Facebook used to have a backdoor API that allowed them to sync in Android that other developers couldn't use. Google removed it in the newer versions of Android. This means that for it to keep working, Facebook would have to update their app to use the public API for contact syncing (that's been there the whole time) and allow the user more control of their own info. They have not done so.
It's Facebook's app that's the problem here. It's nothing specific to the Nexus devices in general. You just notice it more in Nexus devices because they don't have manufacturer created Facebook apps (i.e. HTC's custom made FB app that syncs properly).

Could someone please give an idea of what the email client on the GN can do? I'm on the SGS2 at the moment and, while not perfect, the built in email client allows to search the server and control the sync via schedules.
Is the Email on the Galaxy Nexus just like the AOSP 2.3 version, are there any enhancements, does it have issues with wake locks?
TIA
I use it to connect to my exchange server at work. It seems the same as the 2.3 app except it has a white instead of black theme. I haven't noticed any other differences. And yes you can set the check frequency to your liking.

Thanks. Can it search emails that have NOT been synced to your device? And can you tell it to push Mo - Fr 07:00 - 23:00 and do manual pull the rest of the time?
TIA
Nope.
If I needed those features, i would use Touchdown.

Yes, I have bought touchdown but sadly it supports push on ONE account only which is unacceptable to me. I need to receive push emails from several businesses and would prefer not to forward them into a single mailbox....
I can't add a facebook account in setting->account and sync, therefore I can't sync my contact with my facebook account like Whatsapp. Does anyone have same problem with me?
I'm using stock rom 4.0.1, galaxy nexus[GSM].
Sorry for my poor English.
Thx^^

There is a problem between google and Facebook regarding this. B, default this is disabled but through other ways (apps, root) you can still sync
Please use the search button in the galaxy nexus forum to get more info from threads where this was previously discussed.

Try HaxSync. It doesn't require root and will sync your Facebook contacts.
Or Nimbuzz do it too i think but the problem with this kind of app is it changes the pictures even if there are already one ...
I prefer when it's integrate

It doesn't work yet on stock ics
So is there any rom that can have this work?

Nearly all have a facebook sync option built in
Another option is HaxSync, a paid app that syncs high res facebook photos

I have flasshed a ROM called eagles blood mod, based on 4.03 and i can sync with facebook. However, i cant see the contact pics yet.
Im on aokp and it shows up
The solution in those roms gives low-res pictures though apparently. You might want to look at the Haxsync app on the market.
Blackberry allows for a combined mailbox for push email (not just gmail), text messages, twitter notifications, facebook messages, etc. I cannot find a solid replacement for Android.
just wondering if theres any app or mod anyone knows that can do this?
Only separate apps available for each function:
Facebook for Facebook
Email app for email accounts
Messaging for SMS... etc

Also if you need group text messaging to BlackBerry and Apple devices, may I suggest Handcent SMS. You'll have to set it as your primary MMS application.

Developers are getting closer, but it's still not quite there yet. Try Streamlife in the play store. It's a work in progress, but a great app to follow for what you're looking for.

Honestly this is the ONLY good thing I can say about BlackBerry and I wish it was implemented that well in Android. From browsing through the settings, it looks like Go SMS Pro *may* have the capability. I'm kind of assuming they will make you sign up for all their services though...

I wanna add my email account to the Android market app to my little brothers phone, he has a galaxy note 2 aswell, so he can use the apps i use, is there a way possible of doing this without him getting all my emails and contacts?
Is there a way i can transfer all my google purchases to another email account?

It can be done, I shared some of my apps with my mom. I don't think it's right or fair to share paid apps because it's stealing and dishonest. Only you paid to use the app. XDA is not the place to ask how to cheat developers or steal from them and to do so will likely result in getting yourself banned.
It's actually easier to use S Beam to share apps between devices that have this feature. A lot of my co workers have SGIII and one has Note2 and we use S Beam to share photos, videos, and apps all the time.

Not looking to cheat out devs, if that was the case, id just side load the apps, can easily find em online and skip the license checking aswell. My little brother is in 8th grade, not really working or anything. And i buy apps that he uses alone aswell.
And the reason to switch the purchases to another account was so i can keep my personal emails contacts and calendars separate from google app side of things.
Thanks for the input thou

Just add your account to play store on his phone, just don't sync anything else. I did it on my mom's note2.
