use ODIN to flash your phone with stock ROMS.
How do we get ODIN?

where to get odin.can any one send me link.
you do NOT use odin with htc phones. you can run .exe RUU files on your pc(similar concept to odin),or you can flash IMG files in HBOOT.
there are a couple things you can do:
1)flash a new rom in recocovery. remember youll have to flash GAPPS seperately with most AOSP roms. look for custom roms here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=559&order=desc
2)flash a stock rom in HBOOT or as an RUU. shipped roms can be found here: http://www.shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Passion (Nexus One)

Flashing stock rom from jellybean without original backup

Hi all,
I need to return my phone due to bad interference on the other end of the line when making calls.
I understand they may refuse warranty because I have rooted but am going to give it a go anyway.
To try to make things easier I wanted to put my phone back to stock, it is a UK O2 phone.
I found the appropriate RUU but it seems you cannot flash an older version of the rom using this system, I have got no backup of my original O2 rom so was wondering if it is available anywhere as a .zip to flash using clockwork mod or if anyone knows a way to flash the older version stock rom ?
Cheers for any help !

Need help with returning to STOCK ROM, please?

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I am currently on MiUi Android version 4.1.2. I am looking to safely return to stock - via Odin, obviously - but I know that I have updated the bootloaders and such so anytime I flash the stock firmware from ATT the ROM will not boot.
Can anyone provide a link to a page or at least give me some advice from experience? Thanks in advance.
After flashing stock ROM try booting to recovery and do a factory reset.
Its not the boot loaders issue. Its kernel. Whenever going back to stock, do a factory reset in the rom, keep a rooted stock ROM handy and then flash that then Odin.
Just another way.
You wouldn't happen to be flashing the lh9 rooted ROM are you?

[Q] Can not flash a JB kernel without getting in a bootloop

Hi Guys, I tried to upgrade my bro's phone from ICS to JB. It was a stock all the way through. I unlocked the BL,rooted it, install CWM and then tried to flash a JB kernel using fastboot in flashtool.
But i am getting stuck in the logo screen only, nothing after that. I have tried with almost all the available JB kernel out there without any success, finally had to give up and revert back to stock using ftf file.
Any idea why is it happening? Is there any JB rom out there which does not include flashing a JB kernel before installing the ROM?
I hate to give up now so please guys help me out.

Click to collapse
That's because ics can't boot in jb kernel... Flash kernel... Turn off turn on... Keep pressing volume down button... You will go to recovery... From there install rom...

[Q] Stuck On ATT Logo with I747 running official 4.4.2

I was running official 4.4.2 firmware. I was trying to add a custom ROM to my phone. I flashed the most recent Trwp on to the phone then did a full wipe. When I went to flash the rom it says failed. So I try to restore back to stock with the backup I made before I flashed the rom and now my phone will not boot up.. It just stays on the att logo.. Is there any solution to this problem? I can get to Recovery and download mode. Thank you guys for you help
Try factory resetting again.
I have tried three times still nothing. Been trying to even install custom ROM but all fail to install.

I think you may have gone to the wrong thread.
Go here and follow instructions to flash either odex or deodexed version, your choice there.
