Hey
do anybody know where we can buy spare parts for the galaxy nexus like speakers, battery and most important screen/display
My screen broke! I checked with local phone repair stores in St. Louis and they say that parts for the Galaxy Nexus aren't in the system yet.
try mobilehq I got a charger flex for my gs2 from them and fixed my phone. I checked there site they don't have any galaxy nexus parts but if you email them I'm sure they will try source it for you. I can't recommend them more highly the guy I was talking to Brendan was so help full and polite and it was so cheap, saved me 300 bucks.
Shoot them an email and request for the part.

You can try to see if independent repair shops in your town/city will take a look at it.
did you buy it in the US and then travelled ? why can you not take it back to place of purchase
well I got it as a late b-day present from a friend the only problem is I cant get it fixed by samsung US and Amazon wont take it back. I was gonna buy a screen from here http://www.globaldirectparts.com/Samsung-Nexus-GT-I9250-LCD-Assembly-with-Housing-p/smsng6111655.htm the only problem is they dont sell to the general public.
Also here in vegas there are tons of ass holes who you cant trust with something like that lol. is there any reputable place online?
There are a few threads around the accessories forum that have eBay links to purchase replacement housing

Thought I'd post this for people still wanting a GSM Galaxy Nexus. If I had not bought a Verizon one I would have bought the GSM version.

Daily Steals/Ice Monkey must have bought a bit stock of these things, they have them on sale every week.
Holy that is quite the deal they are offering. If I didnt have my nexus right now I would consider these deals they are offering.
THis is brand new? And is the site reputable? EDIT: Condition is new!
Anyone ever order from them?
Backstory: I had my NExus S stolen (pick pocketed on a crowded train. Didn't feel a thing. Was a very sad day) and I'm thinking of getting GN unlocked.
This may be the way...
Got my white SGN from ice monkey.
The seal was broken but nothing was missing. It comes with European round plugs and Polish instructions.
I just use one of my many ac to usb bricks to charge the phone. .
The are legit.

How do I choose the white one? There doesn't seem to be an option on the site...

well the title of the item says: "UNLOCKED Samsung I9250 Galaxy Nexus 16GB (Black)" So I'm assuming there's no color choice. They're just re-using the stock photo from previous sales that had white/black options available.
Okay thanks. Gonna pull the trigger!

You won't be disappointed. I got mine delivered to me in a day. I live in philly and they ship from Brooklyn so that's why. But one day is insane. Also, my seal wasn't broken. European charger, but customer service was nice enough to mail me a US adapter for free.

Hello guys got myself a T989 from walmart.com comes with the $30 prepaid plan 5gb high speed unli data, text and 100 minutes talk time. All for $330.
So I register on T-mobile website. I just notice that my phone is listed as "titanium and refurbished". My question is: Is there a way to know if it is really refurbished or not?
On Walmart website it did not indicated if it is refurbished. The impression I got it is a brand new unit. I would be very disappointed if it is
Was the accessories seal wrapt? Did the phone was without battery when you opened it? Was the battery in a plastic closing?

Everything was wrapped. The phone still has the protective film w/ some description of the button's function. The battery is in its plastic pouch. I was trying to locate the phone lifetime usage minutes but can't find it.
What set me off is when I went to T-mobile website to check on my account, under my phone is it indicated that it is a Titanium refurbish unit but they got the color wrong. mine is black
Titanium is there black.

Who cares if its a refurb or not? Is it working properly? Does it look brand new?? I don't see the issue here. I got a refurb that works better than the original I bought brand new.

I have Galaxy S2, Galaxy S 4G that I bought from T-Mobile directly as a refurbished device, and Galaxy S Vibrant.
T-Mobile website currently lists Vibrant as a refurbished device while Galaxy S 4 G does not show as refurbished. I would not worry too much about what T-Mobile website is showing you.
If it says "refurbished" than that's probably what it is. I've bought a few refurbished items and saved some money. Each one I purchased looked brand new, was wrapped, and had no visual cues that it was anything but new. But each item was clearly marked a refurb, so I knew what I was paying for. You might want to check Wal-Mart's fine print.
That said, I've had really good experiences buying refurbed stuff from Major retailers, like T-Mobile and Woot.com. I'd imagine wal-mart probably has similar quality refurbs since they are a large retailer, and the item you are buying is still in production.

Just want to know if the "refurb mark" is on the box or on the unit?
Thanks for everybody's input and opinion
If you went to Walmart and bought the phone and it didn't specify that it was refurbished than it is new. Bought this phone from Wal-Mart brand new not refurbished.

Same here. Got my T989 from Walmart.com a little over a month ago. T-mobile.com identifies it as "Samsung Galaxy S™ II - Titanium Refurbished". I've tried to confirm if it's refurbished or new with no luck. Nothing I can find on the phone or box to indicate refurbished and none of the RTN codes I've found work with this phone.
I think T-Mobile just says they are refurbished. Mine was definitely brand new and it still says that.
Is there a website we could check the usage of our phones life

Anyone know where to fix a cracked nexus 7 screen and digitizer?
The device just came out. Good luck

Since you're in the N7 2013 area, you must have the new one, so the answer for now is Google or ASUS depending on where you bought it.
I haven't seen any listed anywhere yet.
If you have the 'old' N7, you're posting in the wrong area, but eBay should have the parts for DIY, otherwise the first sentence is still the answer.
Like calling either Google or Asus?

Asus
I talked to Asus and they told me to ship my product to them to see what they can do. Wish me luck.
If you bought it from the PlayStore, you'd want to deal with them.
Anywhere else is ASUS, unless, as I always advise, you'd purchased a 3rd party drop and spill warranty (like Square Trade).
For the $60 spent on the warranty, you'd have 2 years of coverage..... Much less than a non-covered broken screen....
Good luck..
If you bought it with an American Express card, you'd be covered. They have 90 day coverage for theft and accidental damage on items you purchase up to $1,000(I think). You also get an extra year of warranty, and can return any item up to 90 days from the purchase date.
There's a local shop that sells used phones and new one as well, the seller showed me a Samsung galaxy s3 for 280$, but it has no manufactures warranty the seller gave me 10 days warranty from the shop, from there I started having doubts about the phone, because he gave me only 10 days so maybe the phone is corrupt, but it is in excellent condition at the outside. The new one costs 400$, so I'll be saving 120$, the phones in my country are highly expensive. So it's either that phone or a new Samsung Galaxy s3 mini OR a Moto G. What do you recommend me?? What I basically want to know is if a second handed GS3 will face any problems?
You're taking a risk buying any used phone. I mean if you're buying it from a shop.. Hopefully it's got a clean esn etc. 280 seems a bit pricey for such an old phone though. No Craigslist in your country?

Nobody use craigslist around here, and yeah 280 is expensive but around here everything is expensive, I am not in a hurry buying a phone, but should I go for it or the S2 plus? or the Moto g?
Got my S3 on Amazon for $30 over six months ago. My point is there are deals out there all the time that should trump buying a used device.

I have bought 3 used S3's off of Ebay so far and had no problems...so far. I bought from sellers that had good favorable ratings and claimed clean ESN's and it has worked out.

I bought a clean ESN Sprint Galaxy S3 on eBay for $155 shipped in great condition. Hard to know what a good price is "around there" without knowing where "there" is.
The SIII Mini and the Moto G both have drawbacks IMO. Off the top of my head, reviews for the Mini suggest the display doesn't look so hot, and re: the Moto I wouldn't touch a phone with no SD slot (and you're aware it's limited to 3g, right?). If the GS III is fully working now, there's nothing that's going to creep out of nowhere unless you drop it.
I just started using this GS3 and I think it's a great great phone.
