I know and in the thread are drivers.
If you don't get it - here.
maybe I'm wrong, by phone off, connect the USB while holding the back button, automatically installs the drivers, right?

yeah, ok, the procedure enables the search of the Internet adb drivers (Windows Vista), but these are not found in databases of Microsoft.
So the only way is to install them manually as specified above.

One of my friends bought a new HD7 with SPL 5
This method didn't work with him
I don't know does this method need Official Chevron before applying it?
I installed WPE, run it and did all follow the instruction, but nothing happened...

what happened to him? bricked? or UpdateWP refuses to update? i think it should work, because we're only targeting 4.5 cab when downgrading to nodo & re-upgrading to mango, so, if we can have the cab, why should we revert to nodo? just waste of time
no, this method doesn't need chevron unlock, because, it's all official cab

do you extract all the things in the package? becuase, sometimes, "nothing happen" issue happened if you missed \Package folder or, check your device usb connection.

ok, there you go, you can use new wpe special attached on first post, that should fix your problem, or, you can apply it manually if you got sick & tired with this kind of error
Code:
<Your path to updatewp>\UpdateWP.exe /iu <your cab> /enablebackup

i accidentally put the wrong version it is 2.3.5
Those drivers dont work for fastboot on windows 8. i cant get the bootloader unlocked.
Drivers are independent of your phones version. Try different cables, ports, computers
And make sure fastboot (on the phone is disabled)
when i issue the command adb reboot bootloader it just reboots the tablet it does not boot into bootloader mode.

there are two different versions of the gpad tablet. If you didn't buy it through the Google Play Store it is not the GPE.
I am not aware that adb can be used with the bootloader on the regular LG g pad.
the second thread in the general section has information on rooting your lg device.
if you did buy it through the Play Store then make that the first thread.
might I ask what you're trying to do? There may be another way.
ah gpe google play edition of course! i am trying to put a custom reocvery onto it. using a script i found online and it doesn't seem to be working.

also, if you are using Linux you may follow the first post in my signature below for the fluxbox blog. In there is a complete guide to root your pad from start to finish using Linux as your base.
the second step is to unlock the bootloader. how do i accomplish this?

are you using Windows or Linux?
you first need to download and install ADB properly on your computer. Then make sure that your device is read by your computer, and then proceed from there. Again, if you are using Linux feel free to follow my signature below if you are using Windows however you will need to definitely follow the guide in general.
right now im on windows. the guide in general is what this post was about. when i type the command adb bootloader reboot to get into the bootloader it just reboots the tablet. is there a way to manual do this?

There is. From a device that is off, plug in your USB cord and then press the power button and the down volume button at the same time. The bootloader screen should come up. I don't know that this works for a locked bootloader.
When you type in "adb devices", you should receive a prompt on your tablet instructing you do accept your computer as an interface. I recommend trying this first. Without adb you stand a good chance of messing up your device.
im not getting a dialog box on the tablet but adb does see the tablet

The Fast Boot option has been removed by HTC since the guide was written, so don't worry about that.

Correct. But I would uninstall HTC Sync. The drivers will remain.
HTC Sync doesn't play nice with ADB, and after the drivers are installed it is pretty much useless

Transfer it to your internal storage. By root directory, it means just to the storage and not in a folder. Just drag and drop it to your phone's storage with the Windows file explorer
