Logitech Tablet Keyboard With Galaxy S2 - Galaxy S II Accessories

So I just bought a Logitech Tablet Keyboard (http://www.logitech.com/en-ca/keyboards/keyboard/devices/8232) to use with my Galaxy Tab 10.1. I was curious so i tried to pair it with my galaxy s2 even though the keyboard is said to only work with 3.0+ firmwares. The problem is that the keyboard pairs with the s2 but it doesn't connect. Every time i try to connect it, it would say that it is connected but in less than a second it would disconnect. S2 running CheckRom v4 with Speedmod k2-18 kernel.
Weird thing is that it connects and works with my nexus one running CM7 RC1.
Any way to get the keyboard to work with the S2?

As tablet firmware and smartphone firmware are going to be the same (not the same but no 3.0 and 2.3 firmware) both will run android 4.0 and your keyboard maybe will work...if you won't wait make a backup and try with one of the alpha/beta ICS rom on forums

Flash CF-root Kernel and it will work, for some reason Bluetooth HID devices don't work with KK5 and other custom kernels.

flashed latest cm7 nightly, everything works now.

[Q] Logitech Dinovo mini Htc Desire

I've had the Dinovo mini for years and its only been useful for occasional ps3 browsing, otherwise useless.
Got an HTC Desire recently and it fits into the lid rather well.
I tried connecting it. Pairs but doesnt connect at all.
I hear the Dell Streak and the Samsung Galaxy tablet do connect to it easily.
I wish someone would develop something for it.
I tried bluekeyboard JP but it says its not compatible for HTC desire and doesnt even show up in the marketplace even after using market enabler.
tried blue piano keyboard pairer but that just ruined my bluetooth so bad it wouldnt connect to anything till I removed it and restarted the phone
Is there any other way of doing it? or maybe even if someone has used bluekeyboard JP and has the apk could I have that so I can try that first?
Thanks..
Htc desire running Leedriod 2.3f froyo and CM7 (nandroid)
Sense breaks Bluetooth hid support, did you try with cm7 or just leedroid?
I don't think it'll work with leedroid at all, cm should be fine.

Room for optimism
@raheeljessa
I have a Freedom Pro keyboard which links by bluetooth. Since upgrading my HTC Desire from Android 2.1 to 2.2, the keyboard now connects (in SPP mode, not HID) and works reliably.
To get the keyboard working one has to download the Freedom Pro driver from the "Market".
@mercianary Haven't tried it on CM.. will do and let you know. Sense messes lots of stuff up and cant make CM7 look as nice or have the same music player as sense or even samsung galaxy ui.. WHY DON'T THEY MAKE THEIR FRAMEWORKS OPEN SOURCE DAMMIT??? (rambling)
@oliverjames I tried every keyboard app on the market and read every howto guide online on how and where to connect different keyboards.. they all work differently so the Freedom pro drivers will obviously not work on the dinovo.. Thanks anyway
Seems like only ppl with dell streaks have dinovos.. what a coincidence! lol

USB OTG works with Pendrive, but not with Mouse/Keyboard

Hi there!
As it is written in the subject, the problem is related to the OTG feature of the Galaxy S2.
I've bought a $2 USB adapter for my phone and I have been able to mount a pendrive or a HD (when it is plugged to an external power source).
But when I try to connect a Mouse, Keyboard, Gamepad, etc., nothing happens. Not even an error message.
I'm using an official Android 4.03 rooted ROM (Claro Argentina).
Does anyone know what could be happening? The problem is my ROM (and it's drivers)? Is my USB otg adapter that is not compatible with mouse and keyboard?
I attach a screenshot of my system

Thanks!

Same here with official ICS 4.0.3
I have the same issue with official ICS and CM9. I've seen youtube videos where they show mouse and keyboard just working on a GS2 just running official ICS.
As soon I see this, I tested it on my own SGS2 and it's works!
I'm using stock firmware LPW (open europe) with CF-Root.
I have had this problem too and I figured that this is problem with missing drivers in kernel (in my case) - it was firmware issue. Some firmwares (official) don't have all drivers necessary to work with all mouses and kayboards (some work some not). That's depends on how the kernel was compiled for firmware.
Try to install other firmware (official) or other kernel if you don't care about being 'stock' - maybe this will help.
Works using Siyah kernel.

A standard USB-HID keyboard works fine if it doesn't consume to much current.
Blue tooth mouse and keyboard works to you know.. Just sayin'
Actually its all depends on your USB otg cable. I have two but one doesn't work for mouse/keyboard but works only for pendrives. Another just work perfectly for pen drives and even mouse/keyboard. I am using stock 4.0.3 non rooted ROM.

Your keyboard probably does work, but needs more ampere than the phone can deliver.
I just tested my Note 2 with a USB keyboard connected directly and it didn't work,
but when I connected a USB hub with external power, the keyboard worked fine.
What should I buy?a usb OTG cable or a MHL cable? What's the difference between the two?

OTG cable is for connecting USB devices like mice or USB flash drives to your phone.
A MHL cable is for connecting your phone to a display with HDMI input like a TV or monitor.
So what you should buy really depends on what you want to use your cable for.

OTG USB Audio with Wireless Stereo Headset PS3

Hello xda,
I have an GNEX and i planning to buy an OTG Cable if this works:
I have the PS3 Wireless Stereo Headset and i want to connect it with my Gnex via the USB Stick -> OTG -> Galaxy Nexus to hear music !
The Question is: Will this work and if not: why?
a lots of weird greets,
RainbowSix
push ..
Not possible?
Sorry, no sound comes from the ps3 headphones. The dongle lights up, and the headphones connect, but it does not appear to be compatible with the audio over Bluetooth protocol introduced in JB.

It works on some devices

I have the headset below:
h t t p : / / w w w .100gamesinfo.com.br/ecommerce_site/arquivos8285/arquivos/1331667147_1.jpg
The output works on galaxy note 10.1 / galaxy note 2 (Jelly bean - 4.1.2) with OTG cable.
Sometimes it works when i plug directly in the device, but sometimes i need a powered hub.
But it doesn't work with my MK802 iiis device (Jelly bean 4.1.1).
I don't know if this is related to the device or to the android version.
I couldn't make the mic work in any device.

A year later and still no different.
I used to have this working on my Note 3 using Xnote, Am sure it would of been on JB
Now on KK and does not work, the Dongle and Headset sync together. But no Audio via USB.
Maybe the Kernel has changed and no longer compatible, as it natively works on linux.
Am not familiar with Kernels, maybe someone with a little more experience could add some more detail to it.

Cannot pair with bluetooth mouse to stock 4.4.2

Hey gang,
For some reason, whenever I have KitKat on my Nexus 7, I cannot pair it with my bluetooth mouse. I had stock 4.3.1, Cyanogenmod 10,2 and 11 and that wasn't a problem there.
Both 4.4 and 4.4.2 do not seem to be able to get paired with the mouse. It sees it in the list of available devices, pairing mode enable on the mouse, but it isn't clickable.
Here's the video:
http://youtu.be/k6uePEsq4E4
Any idea how to fix this?
bluetooth mouse
Me too having same issue since 4.3.1. I thought this will be solve after update to 4.4.2 but issue remain. Now I don't know what's the point for me to upgrade to 4.4.2.
I suppose not a lot of people are using mice with N7

Exact same problem
Worked running 4.2.2 and 4.3. Didn't work running 4.4.1 or 4.4.2. I'm trying with an Inland pro, so it isn't the mouse.
Bt fixed itself?
OK. Riddle me this. I had the same issues as the OP, i.e., Bt mouse not pairing and not even clickable, as shown in his linked video. I can't tell you exactly why I did it, but I unrooted and relocked. Then I got the OTA 4.4.2. (Instead of the one I flashed.) Used everything for a few days. Mouse still refused to pair. Just now I unlocked and rooted. Guess what? Mouse paired and connected without problems. I've now got a Bt mouse, keyboard, AND headphones running just fine!
I'd like to shut it all down to see if things reconnect automatically, but I don't want to press my luck.

Galaxy Tab S 8.4 - Bluetooth mouse and keyboard problem

Hello everyone,
recently I have tried to connect my Logitech bluetooth keyboard and mouse to my old trusty Tab S 8.4 and although they connect and are being detected by the tablet, it is not possible to type/move cursor with them: the mouse cursor is not showing up at all, key presses on the keyboard do nothing too. I have tried to connect the keyboard /mouse combo via OTG cable using Unifying dongle - here everything works just fine (I have one of those multidevice Logitech m/k combos). Also, other bluetooth devices (like headphones and aptX receiver connected to my Yamaha receiver are working fine)... I have also tried a different bluetooth mouse (Microsoft 3600 mobile mouse) but that one is not working too.
I'm running the latest stock 6.0.1 firmware, no root. I have also tried to reflash the original firmware via Odin, wipe cache, but no success. I've also tried to flash original fw from a different region, but still no success...
Can anyone of you still running this tablet with stock firmware confirm that the bluetooth input devices are running well?
I know that the Tab S is quite old (mine has 5+ years), but still good enough for my use...
What I could still try is to do a clean install or try one of the older stock firmwares...
Thanks for any advice.
