Cannot pair with bluetooth mouse to stock 4.4.2 - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

Hey gang,
For some reason, whenever I have KitKat on my Nexus 7, I cannot pair it with my bluetooth mouse. I had stock 4.3.1, Cyanogenmod 10,2 and 11 and that wasn't a problem there.
Both 4.4 and 4.4.2 do not seem to be able to get paired with the mouse. It sees it in the list of available devices, pairing mode enable on the mouse, but it isn't clickable.
Here's the video:

Any idea how to fix this?

bluetooth mouse
Me too having same issue since 4.3.1. I thought this will be solve after update to 4.4.2 but issue remain. Now I don't know what's the point for me to upgrade to 4.4.2.

I suppose not a lot of people are using mice with N7

Exact same problem
Worked running 4.2.2 and 4.3. Didn't work running 4.4.1 or 4.4.2. I'm trying with an Inland pro, so it isn't the mouse.

Bt fixed itself?
OK. Riddle me this. I had the same issues as the OP, i.e., Bt mouse not pairing and not even clickable, as shown in his linked video. I can't tell you exactly why I did it, but I unrooted and relocked. Then I got the OTA 4.4.2. (Instead of the one I flashed.) Used everything for a few days. Mouse still refused to pair. Just now I unlocked and rooted. Guess what? Mouse paired and connected without problems. I've now got a Bt mouse, keyboard, AND headphones running just fine!
I'd like to shut it all down to see if things reconnect automatically, but I don't want to press my luck.

[Q] Ugh! Bluetooth Internet Connection

OK... I want to use the option to use my phone's internet (via Bluetooth) with my Acer Iconia Tab A100. My phone is a Nokia Asha 302, and yes it has BT PAN... When I pair my phone with my Iconia tab it actually has the option to connect and use phones internet, but when I try it connects and nothing else happens... However when I try to disconnect, my phone disconnects and tablet hangs. My computer has no problems connecting to my phone. I'm at my wits end. Any Ideas? File swap Ideas? Config Mods? I'm open to anything.
Thanks
BTW... My tab is sporting the ICS leak with root, unlocked BL, and thor recovery installed.
ok...
So I did more playing around and found out that when I choose to use my phone's internet and don't get any net. But when I do a pand --show --list it shows "bnep0 B4:395:09:8E:F4 PANU" which is a problem when my bt address is really F4:8E:095:39:B4... Not really sure what the deal is...
I also use BT to tether. Latest version of PDANet on the A100 and Foxfi on the phone. They work seamlessly together.
I couldn't get it to work before the ICS leak, but since then both PDANet and Foxfi have updated. It worked fine when I was on ICS leak, it still works now that I have gone back to HC 3.2.1.
Still can't seem to figure this out... I waited for the official release hoping to have this issue resolved, but still have the same problem. It really seems like some sort of Android bluetooth bug. I mean... All I have to do is pair my tablet with my phone and it natively gives me the option to use my phones internet via BT and when I select it, it connects to the phone only to not actually get any internet connectivity at all (even though my PC has no problems doing this). When I try to disable the connection my tablet locks up forcing me to power it down and boot it back up... I'm not sure, but could the problem be due to the fact that this BT PAN connection is a sort of AD HOC protocol? There was a resolution to this with the AD HOC Wifi issue so could there be a similar step to take for this BT PAN issue?
As I said in the post above you, latest version of PDANet Tablet on the A100 and Foxfi on the phone works. It works after the OTA update, too.
Thanks for your reiteration, however... As I posted in the very beginning, my phone is a Nokia... I noted this mostly because Nokia in the past hadn't provided their phones with the bluetooth PAN profile... I bought this phone specifically for this profile and that it had a much faster processor... And as explained above, everything appears as it should even to the point of seeing the available feature of my phone... Android seems to still have some bugs to work out so it looks as if I'll have to wait some more till it's resolved...
a script
I have the same need and same problems. One of my phones has PAN, the other not.
What it worked for me is this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19943673&postcount=2
(I improved the script for my needs, but now you have the idea
Whatever!
Got rid of the Acer Iconia Tab A100 and upgraded to the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0... It had all of these features available out of the box... I didn't actually get rid of it, just gave it to my wife... Same thing...

Will any Bluetooth Mouse work?

I have a bluetooth keyboard from logitech, and it makes the tablet much easier to use, more of a laptop experience. Now I wanted to use the tablet connected to my TV, but find it a hassle to have to use the screen to select things. ect.
My question is, will any bluetooth mouse work? Logitech has a special android mouse, but its $50! I see other bluetooth mice out there for about $10-20.
Will any bluetooth mouse work? Or do I need a "special" android tablet mouse?
Thanks!
No. You need to be sure that the mouse pairs with the tablet via a 4 digit code (usually 1234 or 0000). The Targus bluetooth laser mouse (AMB03US) supposedly doesn't need a code, but I couldn't get the tablet to pair without it. I switched to a different mouse (Targus Bluetooth Comfort Mouse #BH3874)which used a code and it worked flawlessly.
yes ı use atech bt630 is work
YEAP!!
Yes!! With current Technology, many Bluetooth Mouse are possible to be paired with tablets. Some of them is specially built for pairing purposes too You may ask Acer/Tablet Specialists near your area, for ensuring your Tablet A1000 is confirmed compatible to your plan-to-buy Bluetooth mouse
If this helps and convinces you, pls kindly hit ''thanks'' button

I took the risk and bought a cheap "slim black bluetooth mouse" from ebay ($10) and it works! Im currently using the logitech android keyboard. I know any bluetooth keyboard will work, but the Android specific funtions really make things easier.
Hello. I have a bluetooth keyboard and mouse that pairs and connects succesfully but after entering in idle state for a few seconds they both stop working until i press on the keyboard or mouse. Is that normal? Is there a way to avoid this idle state and loss of connection?

Bluetooth working mouse with Android devices
Hi
Last month I bought Modecom BT keyboard with case and mouse (set) for Sony Xperia Z2 tablet.
Keyboard - model Modecom MC-TKC10BT and mouse model - Modecom MC-BM6
Keybaord has worked well since beginig, but I have had problems with mouse - flickering, many stops,
completely unusefull.
I have paired both devices with Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 (rooted - X-Note ROM version - 16.0 by Soloilmeglio - Xentrix
Android based 4.4.2) and there was the same problem (only with mouse).
I have thought there is Android problem, but I have bought new - cheap mouse Esperanza Model EM123K and it works well and smoothly.
There is not any stops and disruptions.
It seems that is not an Android problem (As I wrote on some internet sites and forums), but hardware problem with some bluetooth devices.
Best regards
Marek

[Q] Bluetooth issue

I'm not sure if this is a problem with Wondows 8 or a problem with Jelly Bean but...
I have a windows 8 tablet (Samsung ATIV 700T) and I can connect a bluetooth mouse to it no problems.
I can search and find my note 2 from the tablet and when I click to connect the same confirmation number comes up on both the tablet and the phone.
But the connection just stays as paired and doesn't go to connected? Any ideas why they won't connect? My S2 that was on 4.1 also couldn't connect. The wireless mouse works no worries with the tablet. the mouse also connects with my note 2 as well. But for some reason the tablet and phone see each other and can but only pair and not connect.
Any ideas??? Google doesn't seem to filter enough for me to find anything directly related unfortunately.
I'm hoping to bluetooth tether my internet from my Note 2 to the windows 8 tablet.
Tethering with wifi works well but it sucks more power than if I did it through bluetooth. Any I assume bluetooth wouldn't bottleneck the data speeds too much anyway.

[Q] Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 (CM11) attaching Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse

I'm hoping someone can assist me with troubleshooting this issue. My wife's tablet is a Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 running CyanogenMod 11, that we recently decided to attach a bluetooth keyboard and mouse to. The mouse is a Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse and the keyboard is a Logitech K480. She was able to pair both devices initially, but ever since has had trouble getting both to be paired. It seems as if the last connected bluetooth device is the only one that connects after a power cycle. I've also noticed that the mouse for some reason shows up as a Physical Keyboard (see screenshot for reference).
What I've tried so far:
-Using Bluetooth Auto Connect , which didn't seem to make a difference at all.
I would hate to have to return the keyboard and purchase a physical one, so I'm willing to try a few things to get this working.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same problem on my Tab Pro 8.4 running CM12. When I was on CM11 the most worked great by itself but now it's seen as a mouse WITH physical keyboard. This expensive mouse is now useless and it's been far to long to return it. It was great for Teamviewer sessions but not any more. I've tried paying in the CM12 thread for the Tab Pro but I received no responses.
I'm having the also problems on my Tab Pro 8.4 (LTE) running (inofficial) CM12 or RessurectionRemix 6.0.1_r66.
Running RessurectionRemix 6.0.1_r66 I am able to connect a Bluetooth Keyboard. Pairing my "Logitech MX Anywhere 2" Mouse also works, but there is no Pointer moving and no mouse-button is working. My next step is trying to connect any Mouse via USB-OTG.

Galaxy Tab S 8.4 - Bluetooth mouse and keyboard problem

Hello everyone,
recently I have tried to connect my Logitech bluetooth keyboard and mouse to my old trusty Tab S 8.4 and although they connect and are being detected by the tablet, it is not possible to type/move cursor with them: the mouse cursor is not showing up at all, key presses on the keyboard do nothing too. I have tried to connect the keyboard /mouse combo via OTG cable using Unifying dongle - here everything works just fine (I have one of those multidevice Logitech m/k combos). Also, other bluetooth devices (like headphones and aptX receiver connected to my Yamaha receiver are working fine)... I have also tried a different bluetooth mouse (Microsoft 3600 mobile mouse) but that one is not working too.
I'm running the latest stock 6.0.1 firmware, no root. I have also tried to reflash the original firmware via Odin, wipe cache, but no success. I've also tried to flash original fw from a different region, but still no success...
Can anyone of you still running this tablet with stock firmware confirm that the bluetooth input devices are running well?
I know that the Tab S is quite old (mine has 5+ years), but still good enough for my use...
What I could still try is to do a clean install or try one of the older stock firmwares...
Thanks for any advice.
