Is there an app that lets us map & assign the xperia play buttons(not touchpads-this would probably be harder) to any app we want?
EDIT- I know there was one specifically for Onlive.

Is there an app that can convert the Xperia PLAY into a Bluetooth game pad? I have tried tablet remote and this doesn't quite work. I am looking for something that will make my Xperia's controls mappable on another device in games like dead trigger. This maybe a bit far fetched but I think this would be a cool app to have.

You could always just, well, play Dead Trigger on your Play. It's a bit far-fetched but it just might work
Joking aside, I don't think so :S

I heard BTController can do it, but I don't know if it transfer the hardware buttons as well.
Use BT Controller. The developer created a fix for our circle button too. I use my Play as a controller for emulators being run on my Asus Slider.
I was wondering what's the best app out there to use the xperia play as a PC gamepad, including the option to use the accelerometers as a wheel/flight stick/kind of analog pad, obviously the hardware button and, if at all possible, use the analog pads in the xperia play

As far as I know splashtop gamepad is the best in this purpose.
Suggestion
Try Njoy for me works
But njoy doesn't use the accelerometer, right? I was trying using Droidmote, which does, to control Dirt 2 with accelerometers, but I also have to mess with the whateverthatmakesitlooklike an xbox controller on the PC side. I'll probably mess with it some time during the weekend.
set tilt left and tilt right to any left/right button. hope u understand my crap english and hope it helps
My phone can't used touch pad, i'm try to fix in store but they don't have touchscreen until Q3 x_X now it look like psvita :d everything i used is dpad and X,O button. It's still ok except keyboard, i can't used it to search, messenger,...... I find keyboard app in playstore but don't have what i want.... Anyone know of an App that lets you use the Dpad and X to type texts? in ics 4.0.4 have touchpad used like mouse but simply GB is better for gaming, ics can't play psp(ppsspp) game with 60FPS
Cheers
/Sorry for my English X_X
I know it's been brought up b4, but does anyone have street fighter 4 on their play with controls and everything working non onlive version? I know it was released on another phone and in japan.
thanks
so sorry if this is in the wrong section. admin please move if necessary, thanks.
i only know about one sf4 version that does not support the dedicated xplay controls. but you can do some tricks with a gamekeyboard app and map the on-screen-buttons to the gamepad (should work in any touch-only-game). there are some tutorials on youtube.
It works, but not with the controlls, and i get alot of force close issues when i press 2 or more buttons in the space of a second, (on screen controlls)
I would like to know what the best app for making the XPlay a PC Gamepad is. Preferably a WIFI Gamepad like DroidMote. DroidMote makes the XPlay's D-pad mapped to the Arrow keys, which is useless for emulators since you can't press more than one Arrow key at a time. Is there a better one that actually have all the keys mapped as GamePad Buttons to allow me to press more than one key at a time? Or could someone make a simple one that works through WIFI?
Thanks!
From time to time i use pcon
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.pcon
It can be used over wifi, play's keys are bounded to pc keyboard's keys (so it can be used both with wasd and arrow key games)
On pc side, program is running in browser

Look's promising and i'll try it, but by the reviews, it seems there are loads of problems. X and L button not working, App closing from D-pad interaction, X not having a mapping, and O and L having the same mapping. I wish someone would actually make a proper gamepad for XPlay... But i'll give this a try!
I've found the perfect one! nJoy is the best i have found so far since it allows you to map the buttons to any key on the keyboard. I'll be using that from now on and i recommend this one to people who are trying to find a good app for this! Thanks for your help!
DroidMote client is made to interact also with real internal and external hardware controller and you can press all buttons and analog sticks
simultaneously
As example: the internal controller of the nvidia shield or any other external controller that is recognized from android as standard controller and use the standard customizable keylayout.
You can see examples in this videos:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BM6W3Dq_yqQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTDCMRbg2Lc
The d-pad of xperia play is not a standard analog stick, for this reason is automatically mapped as arrow. but you can solve with many tools on windows. For example joytokey v5 can transorm any buttons in what you want on your emulator or game.
Instead for normal configuration with a real hardware controller internal or external you can use x360ce for configurations like in this video:

this information are related to the last client and last windows server. UPDATE your droidmote windows server if you can't press buttons simultaneously

I got the latest version from the forums and it didn't allow multipressing. Also, neither x360ce or Xpadder worked to re-map the controls. nJoy allows this within their program so it works very well. And DroidMote makes the face buttons actual button mappings, and the D-pad keyboard mappings so it's more difficult to get it working. nJoy maps all to Keyboard Keys. I'll be using nJoy from now on until i find a superior one.
