I just picked up this tablet and when trying to download swype beta I was told my screen size is not supported and to go to the FAQ ro see which sizes are supported. Well I did and there answer to the question "you just need the latest version of swype beta" which leads me to believe that they now support every screen size supported by android. (Maybe) but I downloaded the latest version... so can anyone else tell me there failure or success stories on the matter?
And am truly sorry if this has been posted before.

yeah, its something with honeycomb 3.2 that reports the screen size incorrectly, and the swype developers believe its a fix that needs to be given to each device individually, so its likely we'll not see an official install anytime soon, or ever. I've heard someone got it working with an apk they brought over, but it stops working correctly a lot. So if you wanna bring one from your shift, then it might work, other than that, I hope you got slideme when it was $0.10. Also hi notsointeresting, what a coincidence meeting you here.

Alright used your idea and just pulled my a apk from the shift and it seems to work perfectly fine. Although this might be too big too use Swype on and m might just purchase swiftkey for tablets.
And hey didn't know you picked one of these guys up too. It's great to see a familiar face around here.

There is a whole discussion in the themes and apps section covering keyboards, you may want to check it out. I vote for Thumb keyboard.

There has been a working port around for quite some time. That was the first thing I did when I got my Nexus.
Swype is considered warez here you might want to remove that link.
Hopefully an official version will be released soon. I tried slide it for awhile but it's just nowhere near as good as Swype. Had to find myself a modified version as well.

Seeing as the support dude from Swype pointed to it in their forums and said to give it a try, I'm comfortable with it.
As he explains in the GN thread, Swype for the moment follows an OEM business model, so there's no retail version available to be stealing as warez; further, there is an android beta freely available to anyone willing to register on their site.
This is simply the beta version with the graphics resources modified for our higher resolution screen.
Swype doesn't seem bothered by it, why should I be?
Of course, ripping it out of an OEM phone and distributing it - that would be wrong.

This is my first port people so be gentle. I just thought I would share with the rest of the NS4G community. I know the presentation us rough right now but I am not at home. I will come back later and try to make it right.
Tell then here is a port of the nexus s paranoid for who ever wants it.
What works: all but 4g I know off
What doesn't: 4g and carrier label
Removed cause I be ignorant sometimes. Gotts to cut back on smoking.
Download latest gapps: I will put up a link soon or just go download elsewhere for now
Working on learning apktookit and stuff like that so hopefully soon I can figure it out. Oh and all comments are welcome, just remember I really don't know what I am doing.
Nice thanks

DPI is still 240 and they have 2 different tablet modes.

Here is a quick fix for carrier lable.
Just download this file: http://db.tt/C7BFChEQ
Its a eri.xml file just use root explorer and move to /data, set permissions to all and reboot.
You can also edit file and change where it says sprint, to whatever u want for a nice custom touch.
I got this file from thread here just can't remember where to give credit.
Oh damn, wasn't there last I checked. Sorry all guess this can be closed.

This build has em in automatically for some reason, 1.9.2 didn't. There is already an 1.9.6 so I imagined they fixed it?
I like the big phablet mode and changing per app.
Anyone find links to the official builds or latest version? Info is kinda spotty on this ROM. Also any mirrors to this ROM, dropbox is too fast for my phone. Its gonna blow up.

You can always learn and build it if that's really important to you.

For stock, I have heard of apps that can switch the language even if not listed as available. You'll need to search around and see if one is available in Arabic. Otherwise you'll have to wait for an AOSP build that supports it.
Try Rosetta Stone demanding one.

ok.. I have seen this thread today and I'm ashamed. The spirit of XDA is to be helpful. I believe if you don't have anything helpful to say, than don't say anything. As for the people in the thread asking for Arabic...Please try and help yourselves also. I searched(arabic language suppoert for e4gt) and got back over 12,000 results. I believe XDA is here to help, but you must try to help yourself first. I'm not trying to flame anybody, but for this thread to be here for a year and no help is beyond me...Again to the thread op...Read...Read...Read..That is how you will learn and I bet if you find the solution yourself. You will be more likely to remember it as well as feel good that you were able to accomplish it.Ok.. enough out of me...lol. In the following link you will find a mod(not for our phone specifically) but it has post from members that had it work on the e4gt. So with that said...Remember to give thanks to the links op and those that helped on that mod..Hope this helps..If not, send me a message and I will try to help as much as time allows. Remember, we all have real life stuff going on and you must have patience.Thank You.

Well a solution was posted before. While it is in the spirit of xda for people to help, like you said sometimes it means helping yourself. Such as this case. Most members of this section have no need for an arabic language. I have yet to see an arabic language on this phone. There may be something out there. But a majority of use dont need it so we wouldn't go looking for it. If the op needs it he needs to find a way to put it in. Thank you for the link you posted. I assume you needed it for yourself or someone else before. He typed in all caps in a way that seemed like he was entitled to having everyone searching for him. Thats not what xda is about. Again thank you for this link. And op if you want something and don't see it google it. I am sure there is a way to put whatever you want into any rom. If you had a specific question like "does any one know how to install an arabic language? I have the files needed because I have searched and found them. Just need to know where to put them." I am sure lots of people would be able to direct the op.

I know all the devs are waiting for a Jelly Bean release for the Sprint LGOG, but I really think a huge feature we (non devs) all want is an updated Google Now. One that includes the sport teams feature. Sorry I do not really know what version it is. Please if there is anyone out there who could spend some time with this one, I think they would be cherished.

The version in the General section does not allow you to specify your sports teams. That means it is the same old buggy version that everyone's been running on ICS for a while.

I've noticed other forums w/ dedicated threads for all the random questions that people can come up with and rather than more new threads we can use this one thread and hopefully get the help we need. No worries about flaming in this thread as all questions/suggestions/answers are welcome here w/ one exception: rooting. There are plenty of threads on rooting and by using the Search function you can find your answer, I'm sure.

Jitter issue I'm having, can't seem to get rid of it. Any solutions? This happens all the time when you rest your finger on the screen. Vertical and horizontal. Its as if the screen can't decide where my finger is resting so it moves in a small pixel range. At least that's what I think. I just want a fix. Running utacka pa and lightning zap. Had this issue throughout the last year. Can't fing stand it.

Holy crap yours is pretty bad. I had that happen a few weeks back; only did it when I was charging though. I couldn't even long-press on the home screen to change a wallpaper, it would just start jitter back and forth just enough for it to try to switch pages, but not enough to where it would actually change them. It was so bad that I couldn't even text if it was plugged in. Only thing I could think of at the time was that it was the fact that my digitizer was cracked; but because it went away before I could change the glass, I decided that wasn't it. As far as fixing it... mine did it for about a week and then just randomly quit doing it.
Ya, I can't find anyway to fix this. It has happened as long as I can remember, but not when I first got the phone. I feel like it's something software related, because hardware wise the phone has never had an issue, as far as I can tell/know.
If anyone can help PLEASE!!! do so.
Eternal gratitude is your prize =)
What CM are you on ?
Was running CM10, it happens, the daily builds. Running paranoidandroid Utacka build, still happens. I run Miui port, still happens. No idea =(
Could this be a hardware issue? It's past a year since manufacturer warranty, so i guess im screwed.

Has anyone else received a letter from AT&T regarding tethering while not on a tethering plan? I fired it up once or twice last month for like 10 minutes; received a notification in the mail yesterday telling me that unless I contacted customer service they would automatically change my plan to a 5GB/month tethering plan for like $50. I received a "good stern talking to" and was sent on my way with no plan changes, but if I do it again, they will automatically change it and my unlimited data plan will be gone for good.
I do believe I'll be pushing the "unlimited" part as far as I can again. Time to fire Netflix back up and just let it play for no reason at all. Anyone have any other heavily data-intensive apps to recommend?
