[Rom][Port][Unofficial] Paranoidandroid 1.9.5 8/5 - Nexus S 4G Android Development

This is my first port people so be gentle. I just thought I would share with the rest of the NS4G community. I know the presentation us rough right now but I am not at home. I will come back later and try to make it right.
Tell then here is a port of the nexus s paranoid for who ever wants it.
What works: all but 4g I know off
What doesn't: 4g and carrier label
Removed cause I be ignorant sometimes. Gotts to cut back on smoking.
Download latest gapps: I will put up a link soon or just go download elsewhere for now
Working on learning apktookit and stuff like that so hopefully soon I can figure it out. Oh and all comments are welcome, just remember I really don't know what I am doing.

Nice thanks

Does this ROM use the tablet UI and if so does the dpi change from 240 stock?

DPI is still 240 and they have 2 different tablet modes.

Superuser kinda tripped right now when I took the screenshot but that is the first issue I have had, still have root.

Mod should delete this aced ineptly added it twice

Here is a quick fix for carrier lable.
Just download this file: http://db.tt/C7BFChEQ
Its a eri.xml file just use root explorer and move to /data, set permissions to all and reboot.
You can also edit file and change where it says sprint, to whatever u want for a nice custom touch.
I got this file from thread here just can't remember where to give credit.

Oh damn, wasn't there last I checked. Sorry all guess this can be closed.

Link??

Plus one I don't see a download on
http://www.paranoid-rom.com and it actually says
We will be changing the way we manage forum. As we won't use server for downloads anymore, all port threads / build threads, will be deleted, and we will keep using XDA. Changelogs, news, etc, will be kept here, and overall paranoid discussion for all devices in general (No device specific issues or whatsoever), will be also kept here.
Cheers,
D4.

Wait... this also enables soft keys?

This build has em in automatically for some reason, 1.9.2 didn't. There is already an 1.9.6 so I imagined they fixed it?
I like the big phablet mode and changing per app.

Anyone find links to the official builds or latest version? Info is kinda spotty on this ROM. Also any mirrors to this ROM, dropbox is too fast for my phone. Its gonna blow up.

Don't know where official is, if y'all still wanna try this until official is up I will upload elsewhere.

Yeah continue with this ROM I'm still working on steak and bacon rom so I'll be a little busy

[ROM] [MIUI PORT] pre-alpha1 [12-14-11] {WIP}

I'm going to rewrite this thread from my desktop once my ISP stops acting up.
This is the build myself and mikeyman been working on for the past couple months. We came long way and there is little time left before it goes stable. We decided to post it hoping someone could jump in and help us out finalizing this and also to show you guys the progress and of course to shut the trolling and doubters . Its beyond us right now...we're still going to maintain it and update it with fixes each time we find one.
NOTE
This is not a daily driver build. I have warned you. Don't install this if you're looking for stable build, most stuff don't work. Were not going to support the build...at least not under this state.
What's not working
- Data.
- Camera/camecorder.
- in call audio.
- Small graphical glitches.
- find out more by yourself and please report back.
What's working
-Everything thats not in the list above.

Yea, there is some video issues with the build especialy if you have the usb cable disconnected. We think that this is a kernel issue. As far as the widgets, we will look in to it.
So glad to see this here. Thanks for bringing this to us. Thought my eyes were lying to me for a minute!!!

nice! cant wait! might give it a shot tonight or tomorrow after i fix my car lol
Lol I've passed this 3 times, I thought it was just some guy posting in the wrong section.. NICE
I will try this out for a couple of days and report all my findings... I will use my vibrant for a daily driver until. It's the least I can do to help out the development of this rom.
u think the Synergy kernal will help with some of the problems?
Try it and let us know please. I myself don't got a backup phone and I need my phone. If you find anything interesting/fixes let me know and I will put your name on thanks list.
If you think you can help us out or join us, please send me a pm and I will reach back to ya. We need some really talented coders/kernel developers to help out..

[ROM] TouchWiz/Sense/Motoblur WORK IN PROGRESS!!

Hey guys!
It's me again! I've offered, to help, with the ViciousWiz/Sense/Blur projects. And I'm here to say, it's all gonna work out fine! This thread will be used, to post changelogs, dl links, and for support!
So first; a few things, that DO work!:
ADB
logcat
WiFi should be working, now
It's not booting (yet) (It is in the bootanimation, that's why this is in the Working" part )
What's not working:
Phone, SMS/MMS
boot
dmesg (Even though logcat is working...? )
Everything else...
I have a request, aswell. I need someone, to make an app, with sweet tweaks!
I have a tester, who is willing tp create an app, for that. But two is better than one, right?!
So, I guess the first dl link will be posted in the next few hours
Addition: the changelogs will be posted in the original thread AND here. I have created this thread, in case I forget, to post it, on the other thread If you are unhappy with this, tuff ^^
Quick announcement: I'll be creating TWO ROMs. One, will be the original TWiz ROM, where I offered help. Secnond will be ALSO a TWiz ROm, but with a few customizations
SO, one stock version, and another version, which will be modded
PLEASE READ: My laptop broke a couple of days ago. I had the ROM, prted it over to my SIII, to see if it works. IT DOES! But, uhmm... I can't work, for the next couple of weeks. I need to get a mnew computer, before anything else, so... Sorry guys! I'll post the link, as soon as I've recovered it, from my HDD. I just hope it'll work on your devices, just as it did on my GSIII!
<Reserved>
This is great!, looking forward to a stable sense ROM.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but think you're talking about the Add on.. which is just "a theme + widgets" and not a full ROM.
I'm also hoping for a GS3 ROM.. the lock screen... hmm.. ^^

Flashable jelly bean mods

I am looking for flashable zips like notification bar with adjustable sliders and toggles and anything flashable that works on 4.0.4 TW roms, from jelly bean. I would like to put all of the zips and links here in one place that way it helps me and others as well as keeps ROM threads from being flooded with the same question. Thanks in advance
I have found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32622495
4.1.2 keyboard runs pretty smooth can be found in the market via https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jellybeankeyboard.f.g
Lockscreen that is free in the market as well as a plus version for more features via
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobint.locker
So give your thanks to this guy for finding as well.
The only thing that I have tested is the TouchWiz 5 and applied the jelly bean add on using twrp. I am using Rushing's intergalactic connectivity which is a 4.0.4 based ICS TouchWiz ROM. I can't test the cm10 theme because I can't download I market says phone isn't compatible

On a half of myself and all the users of this forum, let me say welcome and we would love to help you.
Unfortunately, due to our jobs, social priorities, and busy family obligations we just simply don't have the time.
However, of you get a chance to pit forth the time and commitment necessary to enjoy the extended functionality and added features of a rooted device, the search button will maximize the efficiency of what little time you can make in your busy schedule.
Don't forget to donate, and we are really honored to have you. Make sure to post back here with what you find and offer some opinions and feedback!

Well as much as I like your nice way of flaming I am currently working 24/7 an raising two kids as well I don't have much time to get on a computer. I am currently taking a risk of not having a phone by downloading and testing what I have found after I see how everything behaves then I will modify the OP with what I have found. It's amazing of how it takes the same amount of time to type what you have and post a link.

Just going to toss out that this has been on just about every Android news channel imaginable lately. It is certainly a great step though, and I hope to see it integrated into a framework modifier like Xposed.

Why when it is open source if you read the news article all that's needed is a git cherry pick and build. Then its done.

Things are rarely that simple, not because cherry picks don't work, but because some people are in different circumstances than your own. My current phone is a HTC One running a stock kernel, and without more sources custom kernels and ROMs are something of a tricky business right now. I prefer stock when possible, so an Xposed-style framework patch is a good way of "cherry picking" what I would like in a workable manner.
Great that you're sharing the news, but you posted in every thread already and now opened a thread in dev section =/
+1 for good intentions though

My two cents...I know goast from the forums, and he is an advanced user and a great resource to me. He's obviously pumped up about halo, and rightly so (it's a pretty amazing innovation by PA team). I'm not attacking anyone, but I like to stay informed about new things, so I appreciated his blast out. Many devs here work demanding jobs, and donate their personal time to development, so this info may help them in this fragmented crazy fast paced world. I just wanted to thank goast for the info, and impart some positive energy here. I'm not a dev, nor am I an expert, but I share goast's passion for android and desire to learn more about it. To me, that's why I love xda...I have a commercially dead device that is still extremely viable thanks to all of the great work here. Ok, I'm done...everybody enjoy halo!
