Nandroid Restore - Bootloader - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When I backed up my ROM my bootloader was locked. I've just restored it. Will I have to unlock my bootloader again?

The bootloader is not included in a nandroid backup, so nothing you do with a nandroid will affect the bootloader's unlocked status

Thank god for that.

Can i restore stock recovery?

Ok, so my phone is going wierd so i want to take a nandroid backup before i repair using pc companion.
Is it possible to go back to the stock recovery so that pc companion doesnt detect modified stuff?
I currently dont have CWM installed
R800i, .49 locked bootloader
Thanks
When you flash the stock ftf file, it flashes the stock kernel.

Is there no way to do it without getting into flashing?
No
A more complete answer is 1 - you have to install CWM to do the androids regardless of whatever else you do. 2 - falling the ftf returns you completely to stock. If you don't do that and you have removed anything from your configuration, PC Companion or SEUS will detect it and not update you. 3 - flashing with Flashtool is easy, fast and does not require an unlocked bootloader.

Thanks
You can fastboot erase boot, then flash stock boot.img from fastboot. Its quick and won't affect rom.

Do you not have a Nandroid backup of your Stock ROM you can flash?
I did have it stored but it became corrupt. I fixed the phone but it would be nice to have backup of stock rom.
I think I seen a few links to what should be it but i wanted to double check Since there are cdma version on this phone

Which bootloader do you have? Search for superversion downgrade and flash it with cwm recovery aand select the appropriate option . Then flash the ruu of your area and carrier.

Relock bootloader

Pls.someone help me how to Relock Bootloader in xperia M
If you have TA backup, use that..
There are various guides on how to do that properly with what precautions you must take and all...
But make sure you flash it over the same firmware you had taken it from, else you'll end up having a brick.

Thanks already restored now my ta. One thing that surprised me though is that restoring supposedly relocks the bootloader which it did but the root maintained i thought relocking bl will also remove root and you have to unroot again with methods for locked BL
