hi guys today I received my nexus, I buy international GSM version, but wanted to know if there is an update to ICS for GSM version, and how to install?? thanks
Nothing yet. I don't think 4.0.2 as rolled out completely OTA.

I just wondering where is the 4.0
.3 update for Canadians. Has Google suspended the update or when will we receive the update.

4.0.3 ota isn't out yet for the nexus

No one in the world has received an official update to 4.0.3 yet
What about 4.0.2 in Canada

You should get 4.0.2 OTA
I'm on bell and I can confirm that there's no 4.02 ota yet.
i just received the 4.0.1 volume fix.
Tired of waiting, so flashed 4.0.2 manually.

Does this perhaps stem from the whole Yakju discussion and who (Samsung vs Google) is ultimately pushing the update to you?
Personally I purchased the Bell Nexus (GT-i9250M) for use on Rogers and I expect there to be some delay in the delivery of any of the OTAs due to the fact we have confirmation this particular model's OTA updates are provided via Samsung and not Google directly.
Thoughts? I too am eager for 4.0.3.

No, it does not. My friend on Yakju just got the volume fix update. The updates are rolled out in batches.
The only people with 4.0.3 OTA's are the Nexus S. It does not matter who updates your phone because everyone will get the updates anyways.. it also doesn't mean yakju devices get precedence as you can see my friend with a yakju just got his volume fix yesterday.
I don't think I have seen anyone get a 4.0.2 update since the initial wave even if they are on yakju. It appears that Google pulled the OTA update for some reason. It would be nice if they posted on their blog what is going on with the updates instead of staying silent.
On yakju build. Just got an update alert but after update the version is still 4.0.1. Is this the minor volume bug update?

I also got an update just this min and its stay on 4.0.1
What is the different now??

since the canadian nexus is not updated directly from google i has to go through bell first and so you have to wait for bell to approve updates. as for 4.0.3 its currently only available on the nexus s unless u have a custom rom

Do you have any proof of this? The update goes through Samsung for us Bell users as far as what I have seen, not Bell. Maybe your right though.

It is either Samsung or Google, but certainly not Bell (although the update is still pushed by Google). Don't forget, the yakjuux build is not exclusive to Bell...
Other than the Yakju issue, is there any difference between the two? I am interested in knowing the hardware difference like the quality of the SAMOLED screen, radio reception, etc And it is possible to flash the Bell one to Yakju just like the other Nexus, correct?
No difference at all and yes the bell version can be flashed to yakju (i did it)

Thank you! So there are no known problems specifically found in the Bell version? I'm still debating whether I should switch to Bell. Are there any rumors that Rogers and Telus will release a better version in January? 32GB internal storage for example?
hmmm there is a diffrent yakju is google the other ones are samsung

does anyone know if the Telus version coming out January 13 will that the same version as bell? or will it be a pure google phone?
I am sorry to open a new topic for this common issue but I couldn't trace similar one in the existing discussions.
My phone is on stock 4.02 since I purchased but I haven't received any OTA update for neither 4.03 nor 4.04. Is it a problem with my phone?

Have you tried the framework trick?
Swyped on my CM9 Galaxy Nexus
Screw that =] switch to the takju build... but u need to know how tho...
- Google
Not all phones receive updates at the same time. They are rolled out in BATCHES. My friend has yakju and is still on 4.0.2. It happens.
Thanks guys

try connect to wifi. i use carrier line, no update. once connected to wifi, there's update.
so as far as I know now, Jelly Belly was build for the GSM Nexus.
then people started to port it over to the VZW Nexus
now VZW Nexus has Version 5.x.x and the GSM Nexus has Version 3
can someone tell me if there's a newer version for the GSM Nexus? oO?
I think both is 4.1.1

V3 is newest gsm version. Higher number doesn't always mean newer or better.

Hello all,
I know its a busy time for GNex forum but here i am an upcoming new member who cant wait to join with this...
I am buying a new GNex and i think its the Korean version which comes with an extra battery and a back cover...I just want to know whats the difference between this Korean version and International version?
Also, it has any difference in the firmware and updating of it?? Like updates come later and such
Any help would be really appreciated

As far as i know there are only 3 variants, i9250 (maguro) verizon lte (toro) sprint lte (toroplus) so if its a 3g gnex you're safe.
All Google images should be compatible if it's i9250

Sch are carrier locked and if anything you'd know it's sch if it has dual Sim, or some TV app on it. If I were you ask them to send a screenshot of the settings->About Phone and look at the model number.

Korean versions are 100% maguro, so you can just unlock the bootloader and do whatever you do. Its hardware is the same as international version

Model Number doesn't tell you anything but Galaxy Nexus
The Korean gnex, whether its from sk telecom or from kt, has exactly the same hardware as i9250.
The only difference is that It comes with yakjukr instead of yakju.
I am using shw-m420s (sk telecom variant) with yakju factory image flashed to get earlier ota updates, and it works flawlessly as expected.
