I am sorry to open a new topic for this common issue but I couldn't trace similar one in the existing discussions.
My phone is on stock 4.02 since I purchased but I haven't received any OTA update for neither 4.03 nor 4.04. Is it a problem with my phone?

Screw that =] switch to the takju build... but u need to know how tho...

Not all phones receive updates at the same time. They are rolled out in BATCHES. My friend has yakju and is still on 4.0.2. It happens.
Thanks guys

If I import it and lets say there was an update tomorrow or in the future how would I get the update since its unlocked and its not branded. I know there straight from Google but how do they push the update if I were to activate it on T-Mobile? someone please tell me. How does this go about for this phone
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA App
It will just be automatically updated. I'm in the u.s. on T-Mobile also and when the nexus one came out people from all over the world exported and they all received the updates at the same time. It does matter what country, network speed or if you are on wifi.

I learned this from the old nexus one forum that Google used to have.

Your device periodically checks in with Google's servers. It matters not what carrier you are on. Updates are sent out based on IMEI.

okay thanks for the info I didn't know that. I thought they still had to be pushed through the carriers even for nexus phones. you guys are more helpful than the idiots on yahoo answer. one idiot on there even said how would I even get it to work on the t mobile network and he claimed to be an " android" guy

Has anyone not received this update yet? I still haven't. I unlocked my boot loader but didn't root. I'm pretty sure I should still get the update though.
Where is everyone at with this?

YAKJU on AT&T in the US.
I haven't either, I'm unlocked and rooted
YAKJU t-mobile, temporarily in Taiwan
on AT&T and have not got the update.
AT&T USA YAKJU still on 4.0.1
Why don't updates just get rolled out for everyone at once?

The update is 1Mb and there are certainly not even 100000 people owning a Galaxy Nexus out there.
I'm sorry but Google can handle 10 Gb of download in less than a week.

to my knowledge clean google device. Germany.
still no update.
I remember that I had the same problem with my xoom (US version) with the first update.
Then I read that it would help to register the device on a specific motorola internet site which I did and it worked almost instantly.
But that can't a solution for a google phone.

4.0.3 ota isn't out yet for the nexus
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
No one in the world has received an official update to 4.0.3 yet
What about 4.0.2 in Canada
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
You should get 4.0.2 OTA
I'm on bell and I can confirm that there's no 4.02 ota yet.
i just received the 4.0.1 volume fix.
Tired of waiting, so flashed 4.0.2 manually.

Does this perhaps stem from the whole Yakju discussion and who (Samsung vs Google) is ultimately pushing the update to you?
Personally I purchased the Bell Nexus (GT-i9250M) for use on Rogers and I expect there to be some delay in the delivery of any of the OTAs due to the fact we have confirmation this particular model's OTA updates are provided via Samsung and not Google directly.
Thoughts? I too am eager for 4.0.3.

No, it does not. My friend on Yakju just got the volume fix update. The updates are rolled out in batches.
The only people with 4.0.3 OTA's are the Nexus S. It does not matter who updates your phone because everyone will get the updates anyways.. it also doesn't mean yakju devices get precedence as you can see my friend with a yakju just got his volume fix yesterday.
I don't think I have seen anyone get a 4.0.2 update since the initial wave even if they are on yakju. It appears that Google pulled the OTA update for some reason. It would be nice if they posted on their blog what is going on with the updates instead of staying silent.
On yakju build. Just got an update alert but after update the version is still 4.0.1. Is this the minor volume bug update?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
I also got an update just this min and its stay on 4.0.1
What is the different now??

since the canadian nexus is not updated directly from google i has to go through bell first and so you have to wait for bell to approve updates. as for 4.0.3 its currently only available on the nexus s unless u have a custom rom

Do you have any proof of this? The update goes through Samsung for us Bell users as far as what I have seen, not Bell. Maybe your right though.

It is either Samsung or Google, but certainly not Bell (although the update is still pushed by Google). Don't forget, the yakjuux build is not exclusive to Bell...
Has anyone been successful in getting the AT&T messages app working in their nexus?
I am running android 4.0.2 with the yakju build and just get a blank screen when opening the app.
Wanted to use this app because it supports group MMS that iPhone users have available to them in iOS.
Thanks in advance!

Just a heads up, I flashed the OnlyOne HYFR ICS/SGS3 ROM just this morning
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1669170
I can run AT&T Messages on it. I just can't go into the settings and change my message notifications. I don't get a message ringtone, but I do get a vibration.
I've been sending messages all afternoon.
The Galaxy Nexus isn't an AT&T phone so I would assume it wouldn't work for that reason.

Just picked up a used Rogers nexus yesterday, and the (apparently) latest version of 4.0.2 wouldn't let it install. Now running takju 4.1.1, and still won't install. Installed market enabler, and it did install, but frequently disappears from the app drawer. What is this junk...
