Has anyone not received this update yet? I still haven't. I unlocked my boot loader but didn't root. I'm pretty sure I should still get the update though.

The update is 1Mb and there are certainly not even 100000 people owning a Galaxy Nexus out there.
I'm sorry but Google can handle 10 Gb of download in less than a week.

to my knowledge clean google device. Germany.
still no update.
I remember that I had the same problem with my xoom (US version) with the first update.
Then I read that it would help to register the device on a specific motorola internet site which I did and it worked almost instantly.
But that can't a solution for a google phone.

Hi
This might be a silly question, but the OTA updates, assuming that you have a nexus, doesn't depend on the mobile operator, right?
I bought mine in Italy on contract and its the Google build, Yakju and still havent got the update....
My çarrier iis fastweb, they need to allow the update? Phone is sim free....
Thanks
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
well, from what i had been told in the past(at least with HTC devices anyway) is that the manufacturer is the one that "pushes" the updates... although i'm not sure if that's 100% accurate with all manufacturers. i wouldn't doubt if the originally assigned service provider would be left with the final word in getting it released.
in this case, since you haven't received the update then i'd assume it's the carrier pushing it & since you're on an unlocked one on a different carrier, it would then be up to your specific carrier to have the phone registered in their system and then start pushing updates.
in either case, i'd recommend just manually applying an updated gsm rom.
that's what i do with any phone. never install official updates, just root & install custom roms whenever i wish.
*btw this thread's probably going to get moved to Q & A
Your phone should receive updates directly from Google. Just keep checking or try to force it. If all else fails, you xan install a custom rom. I'm staying away from them for now though.

You should get 4.0.2 OTA
I'm on bell and I can confirm that there's no 4.02 ota yet.
i just received the 4.0.1 volume fix.
Tired of waiting, so flashed 4.0.2 manually.

Does this perhaps stem from the whole Yakju discussion and who (Samsung vs Google) is ultimately pushing the update to you?
Personally I purchased the Bell Nexus (GT-i9250M) for use on Rogers and I expect there to be some delay in the delivery of any of the OTAs due to the fact we have confirmation this particular model's OTA updates are provided via Samsung and not Google directly.
Thoughts? I too am eager for 4.0.3.

No, it does not. My friend on Yakju just got the volume fix update. The updates are rolled out in batches.
The only people with 4.0.3 OTA's are the Nexus S. It does not matter who updates your phone because everyone will get the updates anyways.. it also doesn't mean yakju devices get precedence as you can see my friend with a yakju just got his volume fix yesterday.
I don't think I have seen anyone get a 4.0.2 update since the initial wave even if they are on yakju. It appears that Google pulled the OTA update for some reason. It would be nice if they posted on their blog what is going on with the updates instead of staying silent.
On yakju build. Just got an update alert but after update the version is still 4.0.1. Is this the minor volume bug update?

I also got an update just this min and its stay on 4.0.1

since the canadian nexus is not updated directly from google i has to go through bell first and so you have to wait for bell to approve updates. as for 4.0.3 its currently only available on the nexus s unless u have a custom rom

It is either Samsung or Google, but certainly not Bell (although the update is still pushed by Google). Don't forget, the yakjuux build is not exclusive to Bell...
Just wondering if anyone in the US running Yakjuzs (Hong Kong) build has received an OTA. I'm still running 4.01. I wanted to wait for the OTA before flashing over to Yakju but I'm beginning to get impatient. Also if I switch to Yakju are the OTA's still on hold?
AFAIK Hong Kong version is the only one different, you have to bring it to Samsung centre in HK and they will flash it to 4.0.2 it will not be pushed through OTA
bought mine from HK and it's 4.0.2 out of the box

Your next door neighbor could get the OTA on the same carrier as you and it means absolutely nothing as to the chance you have to get the OTA.

If you're on 4.0.2 yakju, it doesn't matter where you are in the world.
So OTA is just randomly pushed to yakju devices?
really? But googles update server can see from what country you are because of your IP. So they can block for example every update question from Germany but allow only the ones from the USA

Maybe it's based off the IMEI number range. No one really knows.
I just installed it from the Play Store on my unlocked Nexus on AT&T and everything worked. I now have the free $10 Google card. Before I'd get an error that it isn't available on my carrier.

Yes, you can do that. The account may disappear, but you can add it back. I've wiped my Wallet data many times at this point. AOKP and stock both work the same as far as I can tell.

I was wondering the same thing although in my research to finding the cause to our problem, I read on some sites that it is due to the vulnerabilities and the ability to get into other peoples "wallet" via deleting the caches.
